Paid Services in the Gallery

Paid services? Today, I figured I'd share some brighter stories. Even "brighter" is relative—they're just everyday tales from the Maelmang Gallery. Take this one, for example.

It's nothing major, just a common mishap. But to the guy involved, it's probably a big deal. These days, lots of folks are huddled up in cramped bunkers. So stories like this aren't rare.

Of course, it's all half-joking. In this harsh world, we gotta find humor where we can.

'If it was really serious, they wouldn't have posted about it.'

I personally like these slice-of-life posts. They make me feel alive. That's another reason I browse the gallery. Though my ‍‍‌‌⁠​​⁠‌​​‍​​‍​‌​⁠‍‌‍⁠⁠‌⁠‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍⁠​‌​‌​‌‍‌‌‌⁠‍​​‌‍⁠‌‌⁠⁠main goal is intel, obviously.

"Hm. So Korea's got ghoul hunters now."

The game's easier than before, sure. But ghouls aren't pushovers. Impressive without intel. No casualties means solid tactics. Worth bragging about.

'Once strats spread, others'll try too.'

That's apocalypse life. Unknown enemies? Avoid 'em—you don't know their tricks. But proof of a kill changes that. Builds confidence. Soon everyone's hunting aggressively.

"Some'll die in the process. Can't be helped."

Expecting zero losses is greedy. But smart play ups your odds.

'Including mine, that's three ghouls in Korea. Stronger monsters soon.'

Zombies and ghouls are just the start. Tougher ones incoming. Still early days—newbies get to enjoy the thrill.

As I scrolled the fresh news, a chime popped a window.

"......What the hell is this. Donations?"

Donation ‍‍‌‌⁠​​⁠‌​​‍​​‍​‌​⁠‍‌‍⁠⁠‌⁠‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍⁠​‌​‌​‌‍‌‌‌⁠‍​​‌‍⁠‌‌⁠⁠system. Basically, tipping points to others. Wild for the gallery to add this. Kinda shocking, but familiar to modern folks—donos, superchats, bits, balloon stars. Streamers know it well.

'A donation system's popping up? Wild.'

The game had trading, sure. But I thought reality didn't. And "update" implies more changes coming.

'Daily life just got shaken up.'

Points are near-essential now. Used for gallery stuff, shop's points-only. Everyone's desperate for 'em. Being able to send even limited amounts...

'Gallery activity... or turning points into currency? That's the play.'

Before, excess points were useless—personal only. Now? Trade talent, info, whatever for points. Gallery's buzzing, as expected.

Points now worth more than cash. Daily 100P cap, but few can drop that casually.

'Big-name posters get more eyes. Rich get richer.'

As the gallery went nuts over the update, one of our top nameds posted.

Ttakboki, the gallery's "saint(ess)" (not really), had steady fans. Cue instant frenzy.

Points show under posts, apparently. They're piling up fast. Fans repaying "debts," I guess. She's popular af.

But she's flustered by it.

'......Ga-eul doesn't need points anyway.'

I know Ttakboki's my neighbor Han Ga-eul. And she's a beast. One sword swing fells zombies like leaves. Bet she's stacked points. Explains her reaction.

'Eh. More points, more better.'

Folks'll learn: hunting ain't the only grind.

'Won't be as easy as they think.'

Some gals posted thirst traps too. But too obvious, too late. Ttakboki built loyalty for free. Newbies can't touch that fanbase.

Pfft.

I know Ga-eul's personality. She's genuinely thrown. Tough with threats or hate, but praise? Helpless. Kid melts at compliments.

'Or maybe she just wants body praise?'

This chaos is fun. Supporting my cute neighbor—and tossing fuel on the fire.

I fired off a dono too.

Kept cracking up at the comments. The hype, cheers, attention. Maybe that's the dono appeal.
