Touch My Family and Die 2
15th floor, CEO's office. As I stepped inside following the secretary's guidance, Kim Gi-tae, who had been seated behind the massive mahogany desk, shot to his feet. His face was a mask of bewilderment and wariness. Seeing my unexpectedly young face, he scowled.
"Wh… who the hell are you, daring to invoke the name of the cult…!"
"Shh." I cut him off, pressing a finger to my lips. Then I casually surveyed his office like it was my own home. Plush leather sofas, abstract paintings on the walls, and the sprawling skyline of New Seoul beyond the window.
"Nice interior taste. Very high-class. Looks like you're putting the cult's money to good use."
"What… what the hell are you talking about!"
"Last night, you sent the Blood Raven Mercenaries. Bald-headed Min Rockus and his two underlings. Ring any bells?"
At my words, Kim Gi-tae's pupils shook violently.
"Th-that's… what do you…"
"Oh, don't worry. I took out that trash nice and clean. But… one of them had a loose tongue. The one-eyed Taylor."
The name Taylor made all the color drain from Kim Gi-tae's face. He clearly knew Taylor's mouth ran freely. His legs gave out, and he slumped back into his chair.
"You… what the hell are you?"
"Hadojin. Seventh son of the Cult Leader, and one of the success stories from the Special Talent Development Division's precious Genesis Project that you've been babysitting so diligently. Ever heard of it?"
I sank deep into the sofa, crossing my legs. The perfect reversal of power dynamics. At the mention of the Genesis Project, Kim Gi-tae's pupils began quaking again. My calm demeanor only plunged him deeper into chaos. He swallowed dryly, pressing the intercom with trembling hands.
"Secretary Kim! We have a guest! Hurry… bring the top-shelf tea set, and that special tea we only serve the elders! Now!"
Moments later, Secretary Kim entered with a tray of teacups, her face pale as a ghost. Kim Gi-tae took the cups himself and set them deferentially before me. A faint orchid scent tickled my nose.
"Please, have some. For a distinguished guest from the cult to grace this humble office… it's nothing fancy, but…"
"No thanks." I didn't touch the cup. Instead, I flashed him the most innocent smile in the world.
"CEO, relax. I'm not here to fight. Just… checking if you're doing your job right."
"Checking… what?"
"Haruna. The accountant you tried to have killed via the Blood Raven Mercenaries."
My words sent his pupils shaking once more.
"Truth is, I sent that girl myself."
"What???"
Kim Gi-tae was so shocked he dropped the documents in his hand.
"What do you think was the reason I planted my own person in your company? Just a simple job referral?"
I rose and approached him slowly. He shrank back against his chair in terror.
"No. It was a test. A simple audit to check how tightly Blue Cat Corporation—one of the cult's key funding streams—maintains its security."
My explanation left his mouth agape. The scattered puzzle pieces in his head started clicking into place.
"And the results? A first-year accountant, a lowly peon, got the full scoop on your deepest secrets. Over 500 million in slush funds flowing without a single receipt. All uncovered by a rookie accountant."
I planted both hands on his desk and leaned in, staring straight into his eyes.
"Disappointing, CEO. You've betrayed the cult's trust. Your incompetence and greed nearly jeopardized the entire Genesis Project."
The words Genesis Project drained the last of the blood from his face. He trembled like a leaf.
"I… I'm sorry! Forgive me just this once! I… I was blinded for a moment…"
"Forgiveness?" I smirked. "That's not for me to give. The Special Talent Development Division's audit team will handle it. Along with your slush fund ledger, if they learn you hired the Blood Raven Mercenaries to kill Haruna… what do you think happens then?"
I grabbed his collar and yanked him across the desk. There sat his family photo—beautiful wife, daughter, son, all smiling.
"Not just you. Your whole family becomes fresh guinea pigs for Chimera Solution experiments. Want to see your daughter turn berserker, your son fused with a slime?"
"Sp… spare us! I'll do anything! Please!"
He was sobbing now. I released his collar and lounged back on the sofa, sighing languidly.
"And apparently, some Kim Department Head groped Haruna and sexually harassed her… Is this how you manage your staff?"
"I'll… fire him immediately. That fucking psycho Kim…"
I uncrossed my legs and laid out the terms.
"First, this audit is a failure. Failed auditor Haruna is officially resigning today. Prep her severance—five years' salary. Penalty for your incompetence, and consolation for her."
"Y-yes… yes sir!"
I grabbed Kim Gi-tae's bowed head by the hair and shook it lightly.
"Second, I'll keep this security test failure under wraps. In return, any personal favors I ask later? You grant them. Got it?"
"I'll… remember!" He gulped hard.
"And because of your dumb assassination request, I had to kill the Blood Raven leader. Killing leaves a nasty bloodlust overflow as a side effect, you know?"
I picked up his fountain pen from the desk. Grabbed his hand and slammed it down hard.
Crack!
"Gaaahhh!"
The pen pierced straight through the back of his hand. Red blood splattered the desk.
"This is interest on the fear Haruna felt because of your incompetence. And a warning. Every time you see this scar, remember whose hands your life hangs by."
I unleashed my mana, filling the CEO's office with dread. [Blood… blood… blood… blood… blood…] As the ring greedily slurped the flowing blood, Kim Gi-tae pissed himself. I left him writhing in his blood and strolled out leisurely.
This should shut him up for good. In prison, I'd learned: truth reveals water, fear enforces silence.
Riding the elevator down to the first floor, a hot something boiled in my chest. This was power. The power to overwhelm, to bend others to my will. And the thrill of protecting my loved ones with it. What my past life craved but never grasped.
I clenched my fist. This was just the beginning.
Back home, Haruna waited with an anxious face.
"Dojin… you went to… Blue Cat Corporation?"
Stammering through her fear, Blue Cat had clearly scarred her.
"Yeah. All sorted."
"Sorted how?"
"Check your payroll account, sis."

Haruna checked the bank app, hands shaking. Shocked, she dropped her smartphone.
"700… 700 million won? Why's the severance so huge???"
She showed the massive transfer notice, doubting her eyes, checking the amount over and over.
"H-how…"
"Their sincere apology to you."
I grinned mischievously, ruffling her hair. Haruna stared blankly, then burst into my arms, sobbing. Her heavy F-cups pressed firm against my chest.
"Thank you… really, Dojin… Without you, I'd…"
"It's okay now. I'll protect you."
I held her, patting her back. Her tears weren't from fear or anxiety anymore. Relief, gratitude, deep trust in me—warm tears.
In that moment, I realized. Revenge isn't just cold. Protecting what's precious brings a warm, fulfilling emotion at the end. And that emotion made me stronger.
Kim Gi-tae felt like he'd been swept through a typhoon.
"Fuck… the Cult Leader's seventh son… a monster without blood or tears… This is bad… He's got my weakness."
Gnashing his teeth at the wrecked office, he eyed the documents Secretary Kim had brought.
"Haruna's family registry lists Hadojin. How the fuck did no one know? Can't you read Korean?"
Bam!!
Slamming the desk, Kim Department Head knelt before him, trembling like a leaf.
"I… I didn't know Hadojin was the Cult Leader's son… I swear, sir."
"Hey, Kim. If you'd done your damn job, this wouldn't have happened. Why entrust key accounting to some girl not even a year in? What do I pay you for? Can't you work anymore?"
"I'm sorry, sir…"
"Even if you're family, you're unforgivable. I'd kill you right now, but for your father's sake…"
"Eek!!"
Then—the CEO's door burst open. A burly man rushed in.
"Sir! Some crazy bitch just stormed the company. The berserker guards are holding her, but… we might need cult backup."
Kim Gi-tae sighed deeply.
"Is today cursed or what."
Shriiing!! Graaahhh!
A piercing metallic screech assaulted their ears. Before Kim Gi-tae's eyes unfolded a surreal scene. A silver flash erupted behind the reporting brute, rising like a halo.
"Huh?"
The brute was diced into chunks, blood mist swirling. Through it strode a woman. Hotpants and a t-shirt, nothing else.
"Wh… who the hell…?"
Kim Gi-tae's scream echoed as the belated berserkers finally surrounded her.
