Hating NTR More Than the Empire's Fall, the Knight Departs
Who cares more—NTR or the fall of the empire? Obviously, the former, no question.
The Carman Empire had dumped every damn duty on Alvin's shoulders. The prophecy-ordained demon king subjugation? For Alvin, who was just a single knight no matter how talented, it was a brutal task. At first, his comrades lightened the load, but then NTR ruined everything.
If the empire's gonna collapse without Alvin, maybe it should just fucking crumble.
While one guy slaves away protecting the country, the others are screwing around every night in debauchery. And in the end, they even try to discard him like trash. It pissed me off so much I couldn't stand by and watch.
So I decided to cut it all loose. The mission Alvin had shouldered, the empire's impositions, even his ties to those whores. As part of that, I taught Lillia a lesson with Pussy Swordsmanship and said my goodbyes.
"Farewell, Lillia. I hope you master Pussy Swordsmanship."
"W-wait...! Nghhh! Alvin!!"
I cut Lillia loose without a shred of regret and turned my back. Of course, this was just a taste. I planned to inflict far worse pain on her down the line.
You can't fill up on the first sip.
There were way more scumbags to deal with than I'd imagined. Crush one too hard, and I'd draw unwanted suspicion. I had to take them down one by one, nice and friendly-like.
"This is gonna be a long journey."
I grabbed just a bit of my gear and left the inn. Most of Alvin's stuff was empire handouts or gifts from those whores. Felt too tainted to carry, so I ditched it all—even my armor.
This body's got Alvin's talent, so unarmed feels just fine.
Feeling light as a feather brought real relief. I wanted to shake off my ties to everyone else just like this.
Sort things out with my childhood friend and go into exile, maybe?
Cutting ties with that sow empress was easy. Ditching the demon king mission was payback enough. She might try revenge, but I wasn't worried. The devs skimped on national power balance to screw players over with plot twists.
The empire was strong, sure, but a coalition of neighbors could match it. Yet no one challenged them for three reasons—one being Alvin. Every nation would welcome him with open arms; my defection would be their loss.
Makes sense why the Carman Empire fell post-ending...
I could easily picture neighboring countries uniting to topple the empire after the ending. With their biggest wildcard—the demon king and Alvin—gone. Plus, the empire had a history of extorting resources from others under the demon war pretext. They'd pissed everyone off royally; no way they'd stay quiet.
And the empress used those hard-won resources to fatten the finance minister, not Alvin?
Alvin did the heavy lifting, but the empire hogged all the gains. I was losing any lingering fondness for it fast—which was why I was bailing ASAP.
Too bad I couldn't settle things with Celestia and Claret...
They and their affair partners weren't empire folks anyway. Celestia from the Silverion Holy Kingdom, Claret from the Solia Magic Republic. Dispatched at the empire's request, so the empire's fall wouldn't hit them hard.
To ruin the saintess and the mage, I'd need a different stage. And to set that up, I had to head to a new one first. It'd be a thorny path, but better thorns than an NTR skull-crush.
I hate this cuckoldry den, so I'm outta here.
"Alvin... left?!"
The next morning, Celestia and Claret returned from their secret rendezvous and gasped in unison. Lillia bowed her head solemnly at their shocked question.
"What the hell happened for Alvin to leave without a word?!"
"Well..."
Lillia spilled every detail from the night before. Hearing it, they all exploded in anger.
"Alvin caught you cheating?!"
"How could you do something so stupid?!"
"Cardian forced me into it..."
"Then at least don't get caught!"
"That's why we use warp portals every night!"
Shamelessly, they all knew about each other's affairs with different men. They'd all lost their virginity through dirty means and betrayed Alvin's heart. Sympathy among fellow sinners—they overlooked it all too easily.
"It's all my fault."
"Sigh... No use crying over spilled milk."
"The point is how we bring Alvin back."
"Luckily, Claret and I haven't been caught, so we can convince him!"
They had no clue a different soul inhabited Alvin's body. The two not present were dead certain they were safe, spinning happy delusions.
"Stay put, Lillia. We'll bring him back."
"Got it..."
"Any idea where he went? No portal records."
Warp portals, Solia's invention for village travel. Claret, with her high standing there, could check usage logs. But no records except hers and Celestia's—she frowned.
"No clue where Alvin went. He was gone when I came to."
"Can't track him like this!"
"Where could he have gone?"
With Alvin's whereabouts unknown, the three racked their brains. Lovers or not, they barely knew him. Even this crisis felt minor to them.
"My guess? Back to his hometown. Someone's waiting there, he said."
"Where's that?"
"Origin Town, I think."
"Origin Town? In the empire?"
"Dunno the location. Rumor is it's founded by the primordial hero."
"Primordial hero? Then Alvin might be..."
"A descendant."
That plausible theory lit greed in their eyes. A chance to bear the hero's bloodline. Their "love" for him had long twisted into lust.
After Alvin quit the party and set off for home, a carriage approached.
The owners were the Colvin couple, merchants visiting the empire for trade. Spotting Alvin walking alone, they offered a ride to the nearest stop on their route. He considered refusing but accepted since he wasn't sure of the way.
"Thanks so much for the ride."
"No worries! We pass Origin Town anyway!"
"Yeah, now I've got someone to chat with besides my hubby."
"Dear, say that and they'll think I'm the chatterbox."
"Oh? But you are one—now pretending otherwise?"
They bickered on the surface, but their affection shone through. Their happy marriage brought a smile to Alvin's face. Once a harem fan, NTR hatred had turned him to pure love.
"No escorts?"
"Hired mercenaries. One got injured fighting monsters, recovering now. Next stop's Amen Village—they'll rejoin there."
"Mercenaries, huh..."
A shadow crossed Alvin's face. In the final act, alone after comrades bailed, he never hired mercs as temps. One reason:
Mercs were all hostile, I remember...
Can't hire enemies, right? Yet the Colvins traveled with them—Alvin felt a twinge of confusion. As he recalled merc memories, the carriage reached Amen Village outskirts.
"Huh?"
"Why's it empty?"
The silent, eerie village stunned the couple. Last visit, it bustled with life. Now, a ghost town.
"Group trip?"
"Nah. Fresh broom marks on the stalls."
Alvin's sharp eyes caught the anomaly.
"And voices from over there."
His hearing picked up faint sounds. He pointed to a building on the village edge.
"That's..."
"You know it?"
"The village's only clinic. Where the mercs are recovering."
"I'll check. Wait here."
Something clicked for Alvin; he hopped off toward the clinic. Sensing the odd vibe, the couple exchanged looks and tried to stop him—but he was gone. They followed belatedly.
"Who goes there!"
"Gaaah!"
"He's alone! Take him!"
"Too fast... Gahk!"
Noises from inside, as Alvin said—mixed with screams. Pale, the couple flung open the door.
Beyond stood Alvin, eyes fierce. In his hand, a merc's half-broken neck. Around him, corpses with twisted or reversed necks littered the floor.
"What are you doing?!"
"H-hold on!"
Alvin had massacred the mercs brutally. No need for more proof—the couple lunged, but a hand stopped them.
"Mrs. Hirel...?"
"He's our savior!"
"What? He killed our hires!"
"Mrs. Hirel? Why are you naked?"
"Look over there!"
Questioning the nude Hirel, they turned—and froze in horror.
Naked women, bloodied men down. In the corner, elders clutched trembling kids, soothing them.
"Wh-what..."
"Still don't get it? The men you brought attacked—killed husbands, tried to rape us!"
"W-what...?"
The couple noticed semen on some women. A few weeping ones had creampies. Reality hit.
"The mercs raided the village..."
"Yes."
Undeniable. Men's wounds were sword cuts; merc blades bloodied.
"Then he showed up and saved us!"
Crushing skulls, smashing faces, snapping necks—unarmed, Alvin slaughtered them all. Standing heroic, crushing a corpse underfoot, hoisting the merc leader's neck. Sunlight streamed through the window, bathing him.
Witnesses knelt, hands clasped in prayer.
"Ahh...!"
Amen Village, devout to Silverion, had funneled donations via faith. But their god never answered prayers. Doubting, a savior appeared.
Why worship a distant maybe-god over this real one? No one prompted—the villagers thought alike. Thus, a key Silverion donation hub vanished, the empire's most active missionary outpost lost.
