The One Who Conquered the Mage Class with a Single Fist #2
The One Who Conquered the Mage Class with a Single Fist #2
The next day.
Ahn Do-min did not come to school.
It was recorded as an unexcused absence, but honestly I think he's being a total baby. It was literally just a few punches and a couple of kicks. And he skips school?
So frail.
A superhuman who can't even endure that much is just pathetic... Besides, at the very end, I only hit him with the rod of love. I didn't touch his face—not once.
The part about stripping him naked is a little iffy, I'll admit, but a person only truly understands shame once they've been made naked.
Anyway.
"Jang Wol-sam. Choi Woo-jin. Sergey. Kim Tam."
From what I heard directly from Ahn Do-min, those four are apparently his personal goons. These bastards were the ones making the atmosphere hostile to ostracize me.
Either way, since they were talking shit behind my back together, I need to straighten them out. And give them some spiritual re-education while I'm at it.
"Ma-O-Ha. Let's give it our best today too."
"Uh, uhh... I'll work hard, so the abbreviation, please..."
"You want me to change it? How about the Oyulha Duo."
"Please!"
"Heh heh heh, fine. Anyway, whatever. Hey. What do you guys think of Ahn Do-min?"
"Ahn Do-min...?"
Park Ha-yul tilted her head.
"That fellow is unpleasant."
"Ma O-hun?"
"That is all I have to say."
Ma O-hun said it while staring out the window.
"He's an arrogant and irritating bastard."
A man speaks with his back, after all.
"I don't like him either... He's way too full of himself..."
"Guys. Even so, is it okay to say that about our own class president?"
"It doesn't matter. He really is a weird kid... I don't like him."
"Do not take his side. That guy. I can't stand it. My squad leader being that way."
"I'm not taking. Sides. Your squad leader. I am."
"Stop it! You're talking weird!"
So that's the vibe. Ahn Do-min's reputation isn't good. No matter how I look at it, the guy's steeped in a sense of entitlement. He had this air about him like he'd never once in his life even considered the possibility of getting his ass beat.
Truth is, the world is full of guys like that.
Guys filled with this bizarre certainty that no matter how much of a shitstorm they stir, nobody will actually hit them. Of course, a few punches usually snaps them right out of it.
"Alright, training starts."
With my mind set on handling Do-min's underlings, Jang Wol-sam and Choi Woo-jin, today, I carried out the morning training.
* * *
Lunchtime came.
"Good."
Time to make a move.
I immediately split from the Ma-O-Ha Duo and went outside using the window. This work needed to be done somewhat secretly. When it's mealtime, Leona, Si-hoo, and Yu-ri all come looking for me, and if I meet them, I can't act alone.
I can't just say I have something and bail either.
—Brrrt.
Soon Leona called.
For now, my status is set to "unavailable," so I swallow my tears and ignore it.
—Fwoosh!
After getting outside the school like that, I ducked into a payphone booth and contacted Ahn Do-min.
—Click.
"Hey, Domini. You picked up nicely?"
"...You."
"Shut up. Call the two of them out, fast. You know the drill from yesterday, right? If you don't, pal, I'm hitting you more with the rod of love?"
"...Fine."
Ahn Do-min answered in a powerless voice. Well then, shall we head to the spot we settled on yesterday? I hung up, moved to a secluded area, went up the wall, stepped on the railing, and climbed up to the rooftop.
"Come on."
As I sat there watching the alleyway.
"They're here, huh?"
Over there, I spotted Ahn Do-min's underlings, Jang Wol-sam and Choi Woo-jin, walking side by side. Birds of a feather—the bastards who were always ostracizing me along with Ahn Do-min.
"Is this the place?"
"Nah, why the hell did Ahn Do-min call us to a place like this?"
"More to the point, why isn't he here?"
"No idea."
The guys muttered after arriving.
—Swoosh!
I immediately jumped and landed right in front of their noses.
—Thud!
"What the fuck!"
"Wha, what is it!"
A drop-port shock-and-awe kind of feel. Standing before the guys who'd fallen on their asses, I looked down at them and spoke.
"Boys. Wol-sam and Woo-jin? That's right, yeah?"
"You...?"
"This bastard's Kim Geun-cheol from the Warrior Class..."
Maybe sensing something was wrong, the two got up warily.
"Heh heh heh, you bastards. You know me, I see?"
"You called us? Here? What about Domini?"
Wol-sam spoke with his hands in his uniform pockets.
Clearly guarded.
"Domini. Good old Domini. Hey. I had a real long talk with Domini yesterday, you know. Turns out you guys were collectively ostracizing me, yeah?"
"What?"
"What kind of bullshit is that?"
"You guys just went all out with Domini, badmouthing me as a group. Ostracizing me. Totally bullying me, huh. Why are you playing dumb, pal."
"..."
Maybe they felt guilty because the two of them exchanged glances and stepped backward.
"Do you guys know why Domini didn't come to school today?"
"Why didn't he come?"
"He got the ever-living shit beaten out of him by me, that's why he didn't come, you bastards! Get on the ground this instant!"
Battle start!
"You lunatic!"
"You Orphan Slayer bastard, you've been pissing me off since you started fronting, fuck!"
—Fwoosh!
Just as I'd heard, Wol-sam backstepped and pulled his six special offensive ballpoint pens from his pocket, deploying them around him with telekinesis, while Woo-jin beside him started charging up to shoot lasers at me, light flaring from his eyes.
"Heh heh heh, you sons of bitches think you can win if you all rush me?"
"Die!"
—Shooong!
The moment Wol-sam jabbed a finger at me, the special ballpoint pens shot at me like guided missiles, giving off silver flashes.
This is his fighting style.
But.
"You're no match for me. Weapon Enchantment."
—Tzzzt.
I immediately infused my gloved fists with mana and swatted away the pens flying in at high speed with the back of my hand.
—Boom!
"Got you!"
At the same time, all the pens lying in wait and the ones that had flown off spun around and flew at me again. Woo-jin, standing over there, fired his laser at me.
—Whoosh!
But I'd already done everything I needed to do.
"Mana Shield, Helm!"
As I deployed both skills at once, a shield wrapped over my clothes and a helmet formed on my head. In that state, I kicked off the ground, took the attacks with my body, and charged!
—Thud!
The pens collided with my body.
A bit of a heavy impact, but it's nothing.
"Huh?!"
Because my defense outclasses their attack power. Anyways, charging like that, the moment I unleashed my trademark War Cry—
"Kyaaaaaaaagh!"
"Ack!"
"Ugh!"
Their concentration shattered by the loud noise, both of them clapped their hands over their ears!
The flying pens dropped and the laser-eye beams were cancelled. I went on to deliver a two-stage side kick to the pen-pusher Mr. Wol-sam.
—Kwaaang!
"Aaaaaaagh!"
The instant my sole slammed into his gut, I snapped my bent leg straight and launched him like a cannonball, then landed softly on one foot and threw my body at laser-eye Woo-jin like an enraged hunter frog.
"No—!"
"Too late, pal!"
—Whump!
Packed my fist with intense kinetic energy and buried it in his gut.
"Gwooagh!"
His feet lifted and he fell backward.
"Keuk...!"
"Guh!"
"Seriously, you only listen once you've been beaten. Kiddos. You're coming with me for a little chat."
"Nohway...!"
I immediately grabbed them by their collars and dragged them away.
"I had a really heart-to-heart talk with Domini yesterday, you know? Doing that, the kid turned a bit nicer. So come with me. Over there, somewhere. Someplace like a nice café, so to speak."
The café's name is Violence Café.
A place that sells large Violence Lattes in small, medium, and extra-large.
"Leggo...! Guahk!"
"Hey! I said let's go, so why won't you listen!"
So I dragged the bastards to a spot I had scoped out.
"Aaaaaaaagh!"
Fisticuffs, no.
A one-sided conversation was had.
"I'll clean up your rotten, shitty minds till they're spotless!"
"Euaaaaaaaagh!"
The rod was always the cure, since the old days!
* * *
So I returned to the school after thoroughly administering spiritual re-education to those mannerless Mage Class bastards. In that state, they'll probably be unexcused absences by tomorrow.
"Hey! Kim Geun-cheol is over there!"
"No, Geun-cheol!"
But the moment I went, my friends immediately came over yelling. Leaving without a word, I truly feel like dying of guilt over it. But I had stuff to do, so I had no choice.
"Kim Geun-cheol! What on earth! Why weren't you at lunch! Not answering calls either!"
"No, well. Guys, wait a sec. My head's ringing a bit."
"Huh?"
Sorry for lying!
"I just went to the dorm for a bit to sleep."
"Why on earth? What for?"
"My condition's just not good today. So I rested up a little."
"Why wouldn't you say something! If you were sick you should have said so! You can't just disappear!"
"Leona, if I'd said something, you would've come to tend to me. I'd feel bad."
"Tending to you, what...!"
At that, Leona started to say something but then gave a nod.
"Hm! Of course I'd tend to you!"
"I knew it, this Archangel!"
"It's perfectly normal to tend to someone! Why do you refuse! You patient Geun-cheol!"
Seeing Leona say that all disgruntled, I felt like my heart was being torn apart. Truly, lying to my friends is just too guilt-inducing.
"What? Is this brat actually sick?"
Yu-ri plopped her hand on my forehead.
"Not hot though?"
"No, it's not a fever, I just don't feel good. Not really sure how. No strength in my body."
"This brat... you're not faking, are you?"
"I'm really sick."
"..."
For a second I thought Yu-ri was going to say I was just malingering or something, but unexpectedly, Yu-ri didn't say that.
"Brat. Want me to tell you what? Want to just go rest in the afternoon?"
She said something way too friendly!
"No way, Yu-ri! Why are you being so nice!"
"You said you're sick, fuck. You gonna shut it?"
"Kuh-huk! Now that's the Yu-ri I know!"
"Crazy bastard! If you're sick then rest, fuck! Hey Lee Si-hoo!"
—Whoosh!
Yu-ri, who had lifted me up, just proceeded to slam me against Si-hoo's back!
"Go toss this brat in the infirmary and come back!"
"Ah, okay!"
And so I wound up moving piggybacked on Si-hoo.
What's that about body-size difference.
More to the point, Si-hoo... Was it because she was a girl?
Her back is way too warm.
"Geun-cheol. Are you really sick?"
A worried voice.
"My head just. Maybe I'm tired."
"Hmm, really? But still. Disappearing without a word like that. It makes us worry."
"Heh heh heh, what's there to worry about with me?"
"There is. That monsterkin."
"Oh."
"Anyways, rest. We'll handle telling them."
"Thanks, Si-hoo!"
I immediately expressed my gratitude with a seizure.
"Stop seizing!"
Now, then.
I can just spend the afternoon in the infirmary today and then head straight back to the dorm. Tomorrow, it looks like I can take care of the remaining two bastards together with Ahn Do-min.
Then that'll finish up the mental remodeling of the Mage Class's subversive elements. And since these bastards have influence in the class, I'll use them to turn the Mage Class into a lively, humane class.
Just like the Warrior Class.
I've got to fix the Mage Class kids' mindset.
"I'll just make 'em into an innocent and pure-hearted Innocent Class."
Punching a hole in their forehead would make it perfect.
* * *
The next day came.
Jang Wol-sam and Choi Woo-jin, whom I'd straightened out yesterday, didn't show up to school.
Instead, I guess you could say, Ahn Do-min had come to school as I'd ordered, and the moment he saw me, his shoulders twitched and he averted his gaze.
"No, Domini. Am I the goddamn Grim Reaper or what? What's the matter?"
"...What you want to say?"
"Later, at lunchtime. Sergey and Kim Tam. Those two, yeah? Have them come out there? You bring 'em."
"...Fine."
"What's with that tone? You wanna get hit again?"
"Ah, I said okay!"
He was an arrogant, ill-mannered bastard, but after getting a proper beating once, his mind seems to have straightened out, since he's being all meek. It's just 'cause they've never been hit. Never been hit.
And that's why they have that sense of entitlement and class consciousness. Since ancient times, there's never been anything as effective as violence for smashing class consciousness. If this were France, that bastard'd be dead.
—Ding-ding.
Anyway, once training ended, lunchtime came, and I slipped out the window again today. I sure have stacked up a lying streak again with my friends.
But today's the last.
"Hoo."
Walking down the street.
Messages and calls came from my friends but I swallow my tears and ignore them. I arrived at the destination and waited.
"What, where are we going?"
"But why didn't those bastards come?"
Ahn Do-min arrived at the promised place, dragging Sergey and Kim Tam.
I immediately approached them and greeted them.
"Well now. Our Domini. You brought your naughty friends along well, hm?"
"..."
While Ahn Do-min averted his eyes, the two bastards looked at me and openly displayed wariness.
"What? This bastard's Kim Geun-cheol. Hey. Ahn Do-min. What's this about?"
"Why'd you call us out? What's that bastard doing here?"
It's only natural, since they'd been badmouthing me constantly.
But from now on there won't be anything to be wary about. After all, I intend to be a good mentor to these bastards.
"Lads. I heard everything from Domini. The lot of you were all badmouthing me behind my back and ostracizing me, yeah? Isn't that a bit too much? You fuckers?"
"Huh?"
"Ahn Do-min...?"
The two bastards stared at Ahn Do-min.
"..."
Ahn Do-min just kept his head down.
Literally the picture of a person who sold out his comrades.
"Hey Ahn Do-min! What the hell!"
"What do you mean, what. Domini sold you out, that's what. You scrub bastards. You dare ostracize me? All of you are dead."
—Thud.
I took one step forward.
"Ah, fuck. Hey. Get ready."
"Pisses me off. Hey Ahn Do-min. We'll talk later, let's settle this first."
The bastards prepared for battle.
"I'll stand in the front, so Tam and Ahn Do-min, you guys... Huh?"
Sergey was telling Ahn Do-min to pincer-attack, but Domini's eyes had already lost all their fight.
"Domini is my puppet now, you bastard!"
"Huhh?!"
I quickly kicked off the ground, charged, and launched a kick at Sergey!
—Kwaaang!
"Euaaaagh!"
Sergey, who took the turning kick squarely, flew far and smashed into a building wall, splayed out.
"Sergey! That son of a bitch!"
And Kim Tam, befitting his peculiar name, was a guy who used peculiar fighting techniques, surrounding his body with a blue electric-like power like some kinda Pikachu.
"Shock Attack!"
—Pachzzzt!
He shot an electric current at me!
"Like that would work!"
I lightly kicked off the ground, evading to the side, and charged, but the bastard moved his arm and started swinging the electricity like a whip!
—Bzzzap!
"Aaack! Gegegegegege!"
Crazy, the electricity's racing a l l o ve r r r r m e a a a a a g h ! ! !
"Fuck, why are you shooting electricity at a person!"
—Kwaaang!
For the sin of daring to shoot electricity at me, I immediately shook it off, chased him down, and buried my fist in his gut!
"Guuuuurgh!"
A truly instantaneous suppression!
Now no one can front anymore!
"Keuk...! Khaak!"
"Crazy bastard...!"
Sergey and Kim Tam, sprawled out, tried to get up while crawling on the ground, but now, getting up requires my permission.
Time to fix your rotten minds!
"First, get some more beating!"
Shouting so, I trampled them wildly and pounded them with my fists.
—Kwaaang!
—Thud!
"Kuaaaaaagh!"
"Aaaagh!"
A truly euphoric Soccer-Kick Festival.
"Your forehead! I'll punch a hole in your forehead!"
"Kyaaaaaaagh!"
So as I was proceeding with the education by doing a fist-grinder on Sergey's forehead just like Jjang-gu's mom does a fist-grinder on Jjang-gu's head.
"Ah, no?!"
From somewhere.
"Stop right there!"
A very sharp voice rang out.
"Huhh?!"
And then, descending before my eyes, a silver-haired beauty!
"K-Kim Geun-cheol! What on earth is going on here?!"
Leona appeared with a deeply flustered expression!!!
