A Night of Passion with Yi Hyeon and the Road to Jizhou
Seo Jun’s hand clamped down hard on Yi Hyeon’s breast, which had been bouncing wildly between his fingers. “Haaang!” The climax hit her like a thunderclap. Both arms locked around his neck while her powerful legs clamped even tighter around his waist, as though she never wanted to let go.
Seo Jun held still for a moment, letting her ride out the pulsing aftershocks. When her limbs finally went slack, he lifted her legs onto his shoulders and folded her body completely beneath him. Positioning himself almost on top of her, he began driving downward with deep, punishing strokes.
Thud. Thud. Bang. Bang.
“Haah! Haah! Haah! Haaaaang! What is this?! I’m dying!”
Yi Hyeon’s eyes had rolled back completely. Her mouth hung open, drool spilling freely down her chin as incoherent cries tumbled out.
“Haah! Jun! I feel like I’m going to die! It feels too good! I love you! Haah! Haaaaang!”
Squish. Squish. Squish. Squish.
“Ugh!”
Spurt! Gush! Gush! Glorp! Glorp!
Seo Jun slammed his hips flush against her pleasure-soaked body and unleashed his second climax. An overwhelming flood of semen erupted from his cock, surging into her womb as if determined to fill her to the brim.
He savored the lingering ecstasy while holding her close. Yi Hyeon’s body still trembled faintly, the heat of arousal refusing to fade.
“Are you all right?”
“Is this… what it’s always like between a man and a woman?”
After catching her breath for a long while, Yi Hyeon finally asked the question that had been burning in her mind. The ecstasy she had just experienced was on a completely different level from anything she had ever felt with Seo Pyeong.
“Not for most people. There aren’t many men capable of making a woman feel that way.”
“I suppose that’s true?”
Sex in this era was usually straightforward and utilitarian. Its main purpose was reproduction. Few men gave any thought to sharing their hearts with a woman or synchronizing their rhythms for the sake of mutual pleasure.
As he answered, Seo Jun subtly let his pride in his own stamina show through.
While they lay together chatting, his hand began to wander again—stroking her belly, her inner thighs, then the slick heat between her legs. This time Yi Hyeon offered no resistance. She welcomed his touch, moving her body to meet his fingers.
“Our Jun really is a beast.”
With that short, breathless exclamation, their lovemaking continued for three more fervent rounds, filling the room with the sounds of passion before they finally collapsed.
“It’s been so long since I felt this refreshed.”
For the first time in a long while, Seo Jun felt his pent-up desires had been properly satisfied. Yi Hyeon had eventually passed out completely, but even that was deeply satisfying.
He pulled a blanket over her unconscious form, set the wine and meat he had brought on the table, and slipped out of the room to return home.
Creak.
When Seo Jun opened the door to his own quarters, someone was already sitting in the chair waiting for him.
“You’re late.”
It was Seol Ryeon.
“We got caught up talking about all sorts of things, so it took longer than expected.”
Seo Jun could tell she already understood the situation, yet admitting the truth outright felt awkward.
“Did you really only talk?”
He walked over to Seol Ryeon, who was watching him with anxious eyes in the dim light, and sat in the chair beside her. She was clearly frightened. Though she had never said it aloud, she knew he had taken Wang Yi. Now, after spending the night with Yi Hyeon as well, she feared she might be cast aside.
He reached out and gently patted her back.
“I will never abandon you, Harin. You are my woman. I will always protect you and cherish you.”
Seo Jun pulled her into his arms and deliberately called her by her personal name—treating her not as a mother but as a woman he respected—so she could feel secure in the knowledge that their bond would continue. To ease her heart completely, he made love to her as well. Only after releasing inside her twice did they finally fall asleep.
It had been an exhausting day in which he had used his full strength for the first time in a long while.
Now that he had made even Yi Hyeon his woman, a new routine began: hunting diligently during the day, then spending his nights alternating between the two women’s beds. He also continued visiting Zhang Liao at the grand residence, steadily deepening their friendship.
Two months passed like that, and full spring arrived.
Lately Seo Jun had begun to realize how much he had changed since coming to this world. Back when he was a mercenary, he had been little more than a machine—fighting when ordered, relieving his physical urges only to maintain combat efficiency, living solely for the next battle. He had fled that life because he hated it. He had wanted to live as a human being.
Though only a few months had passed since his arrival, he now had things he truly desired. The desire to possess, the desire to protect, the desire to hold onto those feelings. It was the same heart he had possessed as a boy—before becoming a mercenary—when he had dreamed of earning plenty of money, dating beautiful women, and living an ordinary, stable life like everyone else.
That long-buried heart was beginning to sprout again, just a little.
Seo Jun knew the time had come to make a firm decision.
This won’t do. Even though I’ve been working hard, I’ve only saved a hundred thousand coins in several months. With this amount, establishing myself in Luoyang and buying an official post is impossible.
A single sack of grain cost around a hundred coins. A hundred thousand coins was therefore equivalent to a thousand seok—an enormous sum for one man to accumulate alone through hunting in such a short time. Yet with the going rates for offices sold by the Ten Attendants—two million coins for a governor, four hundred thousand for a county magistrate, and even a hundred thousand for a central army marquis—this pace would never be enough.
I suppose I’ll have to rob them after all.
He had considered it since the beginning of the year but had put the idea aside. Now he resolved to become a righteous bandit.
Only the bad ones. I’ll only rob the bad ones.
Seo Jun rationalized it to himself.
“I should tell them I’m going out to gather supplies.”
Having made up his mind, he headed home to inform Seol Ryeon. As it happened, Yi Hyeon was there as well.
“I’m thinking of traveling to Jizhou for a while.”
“Jizhou?”
“What for?”
Both women’s heads snapped toward him.
“To sell some hides, pick up a few things, and earn some money.”
“Jun, thanks to all your hard work, our family is already living comfortably and abundantly. I’d rather you didn’t do anything too dangerous.”
“That’s right!”
It was still an era when even a short distance beyond the county borders meant running into Yellow Turban remnants and bandits. The two women were filled with worry at the thought of him venturing into such lawless territory.
“Please don’t worry too much. This is something I truly must do.”
Seo Jun explained his long-term plan to bring the entire family to Luoyang. Only then would they stop trying to dissuade him from actions meant to earn more money.
“Does it really have to go that far?”
“The world is only going to grow more chaotic. I’m not aiming for the highest seat, but I believe we need a certain level of status and power to keep our family safe. For that, money is necessary right now.”
After much difficulty, he finally persuaded them. He quickly prepared for departure, packing a considerable amount of supplies into his subspace as insurance against danger.
Whoosh.
“How long will you be gone?”
Seol Ryeon’s face was wet with tears, her expression full of anxiety.
“If all goes well, one month. At worst, two. I’ll return as quickly as I can.”
Seo Jun embraced the worried and reluctant women one by one, then swung himself onto his horse.
“Yah!”
Exiting Shuofang through the eastern gate, he urged his mount into a gallop.
His planned route took him through Wuyuan, Yunzhong, Jingyang, and Yanmen in Bingzhou, into Jizhou, then through Zhongshan, Shangshan, and Qiao before returning via Taiyuan and Xihe in Bingzhou. Along the way he would gather information from the lower classes and target notoriously corrupt powerful clans.
After two days of hard riding, the western gate of Guyuan County—administrative seat of Wuyuan Commandery—appeared in the distance. The overall atmosphere was not much different from Shuofang. The only notable difference was the slightly larger number of Xiongnu people coming and going through the gates.
This was likely due to geography: Guyuan lay north of the Yellow River and could be reached without restriction, whereas Shuofang required a ferry crossing.
After passing through the gate, Seo Jun rode slowly through the streets, looking for a suitable inn. The arrival of a new outsider drew curious stares from every passerby. The women’s gazes in particular lingered on him for a long time.
He spotted an inn with a weathered exterior yet well-kept appearance. Seo Jun dismounted from Black Dragon and handed the reins to the waiter standing guard at the entrance.
“Give him a comfortable stall and plenty of good feed.”
He slipped two five-shu coins into the waiter’s hand where others wouldn’t see.
“Yes, sir. Leave it to me.”
It was the first inn Seo Jun had visited in this town. The first floor held several tables and chairs occupied by a varied crowd eating and drinking. A staircase on one side led to the second floor, where a row of sleeping rooms could be seen.
“What can I get for you, honored guest?”
The waiter appeared the moment Seo Jun sat down at an empty table on the first floor.
