Uninvited Guests
The office we were in sat at the very top floor of this building, right beside the emergency stairwell. Thanks to that, every sound from the stairs carried straight into the Sanctuary Cradle.
The murmur of voices. God, why are they coming all the way up here? Did they fail to find what they wanted on the lower floors? What the hell are they even looking for…?
Irritation prickled at me, but what could I do? I’d just have to endure it. Sooner or later—whether they found it or not—they’d leave. After all, we were safely tucked away inside the Sanctuary Cradle.
I kneaded Si-eun’s large breasts as I spoke.
“Sounds like the people you mentioned. They’ve made it all the way up here.”
“S-seems that way, Oppa… What could they possibly be looking for…?”
“Beats me. They’ll either find it or give up and leave eventually.”
As I continued massaging her chest, Si-eun’s breathing grew ragged. For the record, since she didn’t have a bra that fit, she was completely braless. I slowly caressed her breasts over her clothes before slipping my hands underneath, lifting the fabric, and groping her bare skin directly.
Si-eun flinched in surprise and whined in a cute, protesting voice.
“Aigoo, Oppa…”
She twisted and squirmed as if she hated it, but she never actually resisted. As expected, Si-eun’s breasts were the best. So big, yet perfectly shaped and incredibly elastic.
While I was busy enjoying her chest, the group of intruders finally reached the top floor. Their voices grew clearer.
“Fuck, this place is insanely tall. Hey, Sharp Eyes! You sure this is the right building?”
“Yeah, I’m sure! I definitely saw them go inside this one!”
“Then why can’t we find them?!”
“Shut up and keep looking. This is the last floor, so they’ve gotta be hiding around here somewhere.”
“But… is this really okay? If the boss finds out…”
“Then don’t get caught, you idiot! We didn’t get caught last time, did we?”
“Are we killing them again after we’re done this time?”
“Obviously, dumbass. You think we’re just gonna fuck them and let them go? What if the boss hears about it?”
“It’s such a waste though, you moron. Sharp Eyes said all four of them are crazy hot. Seems like a shame to kill them after just one round…”
“There’s a guy with them too, right? What do we do about him?”
“Leave him alone. He’s mine. Don’t touch him. I’ll be the one to kill him too.”
“Fucking disgusting homo…”
Huh. So that’s what they were after… Us?
I looked down at Si-eun in my arms with a dumbfounded expression. Si-eun, Ji-yun, and Ji-su—who had been chatting in the corner—all widened their eyes and stared toward the source of the voices.
With a loud clatter, the door to the office we were in swung wide open.
“H-Hiiik!”
Ji-su, who had been completely naked while talking with Ji-yun, let out a small scream and wrapped her arms around her body. Ji-yun gently comforted her.
“Don’t worry. They can’t see inside here from out there. There’s nothing to be afraid of, Ji-su.”
I watched the men as they entered the office. They swept their flashlights around cautiously as they stepped inside. There were six of them, all appearing to be in their thirties. They had fashioned crude armor out of boxes around their necks and arms—probably to protect against goblin poison needles.
In their hands they carried baseball bats, wooden swords, sickles, and… was that a machete? The kind people swing around in jungles. Either way, they were all armed with brutal-looking weapons.
“Hey, look at this.”
One of the six men noticed the lit lantern sitting on the office desk. I was the one who had left it there. Then they discovered the shower stall I had set up in the space outside the Sanctuary Cradle and began poking around.
That shower booth was something Ji-yun and Si-eun had installed before we went exploring the building. One of the men who opened the stall and looked inside spoke up.
“They were definitely here. Looks like we found their camp. They must be somewhere on this floor.”
The men began searching every corner of the office. They even walked right up to the space containing the Sanctuary Cradle, looking around in all directions. Thanks to that, I could observe them up close.
Every single one of them had an ugly, vicious face.
After thoroughly searching the office we were in, they headed back outside—probably to check the other rooms. Alright. So what now?
I didn’t know exactly who they were, but they had clearly entered this building with us in mind. From their conversation, they didn’t seem like decent people. And more than anything… they said they were going to kill me?
Not just kill me, but after doing all sorts of things first. Fuck that. There was no way I could let them leave peacefully.
“Ji-yun, come here for a second.”
“Yes, Oppa.”
Ji-yun, who had been soothing Ji-su, walked over to me. I asked her directly.
“You heard what they were saying outside, right? It looks like they came here targeting you girls. What do you think we should do?”
The reason I asked Ji-yun instead of the others was simple: she was far too kind. Of course, being kind wasn’t necessarily a bad thing… No. In this world, pure kindness was definitely not a good thing. That’s why I wanted to hear her thoughts.
These were insane bastards who planned to rape the women and then kill them—and even kill me after having their fun. If Ji-yun still showed mercy toward scum like that… Well, she would need a lot of re-education. In the worst case, we might not be able to stay together anymore.
At my question, Ji-yun lowered her head and fell into thought. She stayed silent for a surprisingly long time.
Si-eun called out to her in a worried voice.
“J-Ji-yun…?”
Ji-yun snapped out of it and lifted her head.
“Oppa.”
“Tell me what you’re thinking. Be honest.”
Ji-yun spoke with calm, steady eyes.
“Suddenly, I thought of those men on motorcycles we met before… They targeted me too, and Chang-su Oppa and Jeong-hyun Oppa tried to protect me…”
Her voice trailed off. The memory must have resurfaced. Ji-yun let out a small sigh and continued.
“I don’t think common sense works in this world anymore. We need to change too, and stop clinging to the old rules. So…”
“So?”
Ji-yun swallowed once (though no saliva would come out) and said firmly.
“…I think we should kill them.”
“…Why?”
“At first, I thought if we just stayed hidden, they’d get tired of searching and leave. But I also realized we can’t keep hiding every time something like this happens. And more than anything…”
“More than anything?”
Ji-yun looked at me with angry eyes.
“Those human trash said they were going to do that to you, Oppa. They’re clearly the kind of societal evil that causes immense harm to good people. So… I think it’s best if we take this opportunity to cleanly eliminate them ourselves.”
I smiled warmly and stroked Ji-yun’s hair. Thank goodness. I was so relieved that our Ji-yun wasn’t just blindly kind. She was thinking clearly and correctly.
I asked her again.
“Then… can you do it yourself?”
Ji-yun nodded at my words.
“Yes. Since I’m the one who suggested it. But… I’m not sure if I can handle it alone. We don’t know how strong they are…”
I wasn’t entirely confident Ji-yun could take them all by herself either. Her stats were impressive, but her role wasn’t that of a pure damage dealer. And judging by their appearance, these men weren’t complete amateurs. The weapons they carried and the way they had crudely armored themselves with boxes to guard against goblin needles suggested they had seen real combat.
In truth, if I deployed Juniel, this would be over in an instant. But I felt it was more important to let Ji-yun gain experience.
Si-eun, who had been watching me deliberate, spoke up.
“O-Oppa.”
“Yeah?”
“I’ll… do it too. Together with Ji-yun.”
I looked at Si-eun gently as she lay in my arms.
“…Are you sure? This isn’t about killing monsters. Even if they’re trash, they’re still human. And… your skill would be difficult to use in here, wouldn’t it? If you use it inside a building, you might set the whole place on fire…”
“I-I know. But… Ji-yun’s right. In a world like this, it’s something we’ll have to experience eventually, right? Then I’d rather do it now. And since I’ll be doing it with Ji-yun… I’ll try to refrain from using my skill as much as possible. If Ji-yun, whose main class is Shielder, can fight with a weapon, then there’s no reason a Pyromancer like me can’t do the same. Besides… we don’t die, remember…?”
Si-eun spoke with firm resolve. When she said that last part, however, her expression turned slightly bitter.
These two really were so lovable. But Si-eun, you’re wrong. It’s not something you’ll have to experience eventually. You already have. You were the one who killed one of those motorcycle thugs last time. You climbed on top of him with blank eyes and stabbed him relentlessly with a knife. Ugh, just remembering it is a little scary.
Come to think of it, among us, Ji-yun was the only one who had never killed before. Ji-su, myself, and Si-eun had all done it already. That made Ji-yun’s willingness to step forward and suggest killing them even more admirable. And the fact that Si-eun, despite her own traumatic memories, wanted to stand by Ji-yun’s side was incredibly beautiful.
I really do have a talent for choosing women.
I glanced at Ji-su, who was crouched in the corner watching us, and Juniel, who stood there blankly.
Except for those two.
Ji-yun stood up and gathered her weapons. She said my specially made spear was too difficult to handle, so she picked up the massive club that Ji-su had been swinging. Since Ji-yun’s strength stat was now similar to Ji-su’s, she should be able to wield the enormous club without much trouble.
Instead, Si-eun took the spear. Since Si-eun had never properly used any weapon before, a spear, sword, or club would probably feel about the same to her. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from her in close-quarters combat. Her stats were still lower than Ji-yun and Ji-su’s, and she was originally a long-range damage dealer.
Still, her determination to try was so adorable that I couldn’t complain.
Once this battle was over, we’d probably get some new weapons. Especially that machete one of the men was carrying—it looked pretty decent.
As I put my clothes back on, I spoke to Ji-su, who was still crouched in the corner.
“Seo Ji-su, get dressed.”
At my command, she flinched and quickly began gathering her clothes. Ji-yun looked at me with surprised eyes.
“Oppa, why isn’t Ji-su…?”
“Don’t worry. I won’t be sending Ji-su into the fight yet. But she needs to understand how we’re going to live from now on, so I want her to watch you two. If anyone gets hurt, I’ll heal them immediately, so don’t hold back. With me, Ji-su, and Juniel here, you don’t need to worry about your backs.”
This battle was meant to give the two of them experience. I planned to intervene as little as possible.
By the time I finished dressing, Ji-yun and Si-eun were already fully prepared for battle.
“Alright, let’s go. Time to clean up some trash.”
Following my lead, all four women stepped out of the Sanctuary Cradle. I picked up the lantern and walked out of the office.
Creak. They must have heard the door open. I stepped into the hallway and looked toward the office where the trash were searching. It seemed they were still checking the rooms deeper inside the corridor.
They had no escape route. The only exit—the emergency stairwell—was now blocked by us.
Soon, one of the men poked his head out of an office and shouted loudly.
“Found them!!”
At his cry, the rest of the trash came pouring out. When they saw us standing right in front of the emergency stairs, they seemed to misunderstand something. The one holding the machete looked at us and sneered.
“Trying to run? You can’t escape. Well, actually, you can try if you want. Chasing down and catching you is pretty fun too.”
Run? Like hell we’re running, you crazy bastards.
The man swept his flashlight over each member of our group one by one.
“Ooooh. Damn, they really are all beautiful? Huh? What’s with the girl with horns on her head? Some kind of cosplay? She’s out of her mind. Whoa, and this one’s tits are… Ju Si-eun?!?!”
“What? Who?”
“Ju Si-eun? For real?”
Si-eun frowned at the flashlight pointed at her face and raised a hand to shield her eyes. The trash confirmed that she really was the Ju Si-eun they knew and immediately began making a huge fuss.
“Hey! It really is Ju Si-eun! It’s her!”
“Holy shit! It’s actually Ju Si-eun?! Wow!!”
The extremely excited men quickly started chattering among themselves.
“This is insane. Are we really getting to fuck Ju Si-eun today? For real??”
“You idiot, what did I tell you? Aren’t you glad you followed me? If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t even get to see her!”
“Hey, quiet down! Shut up! Fuck, I said shut your mouths!”
The man with the machete shouted in a menacing voice. He glared at the five men behind him and growled.
“Listen up and shut the hell up. Whether we fuck Ju Si-eun or not doesn’t matter. But make sure you remember this one thing.”
“…What is it?”
“I’m first.”
At the machete-wielding man’s declaration, the others muttered among themselves but didn’t dare argue. It seemed he was the leader of the group.
Anyway, I had no intention of watching their pathetic little show any longer. Ji-yun and Si-eun stepped forward, and the men stopped talking to stare at them.
The machete guy asked,
“…What? You’re seriously trying to fight us?”
Ji-yun and Si-eun said nothing. They simply raised their weapons and stared the men down. The machete guy clicked his tongue in annoyance and stepped back.
“Tsk. Hey, be careful not to damage their faces. If any of you leave a scar on those pretty faces, I’ll make the same scar on yours. Got it?”
As soon as the machete guy retreated, the others advanced toward Ji-yun and Si-eun with their weapons raised. These guys really were insane. No matter how crazy they were for pussy, they were still planning to hold back in a fight? We, on the other hand, were fully prepared to kill them.
The future was already crystal clear.
Finally, Ji-yun kicked off the ground and charged at them. The battle had begun.
