I'm Hungry
"Um… Junhi-ssi? These are some side dishes I made earlier. I'll just leave them here by the front door for now. When you eat later, scoop out a little at a time and heat them in the microwave."
………
What could have made him so terrified?
She could tell from his eyes alone.
Who on earth had tormented such a sweet, gentle boy like that—and who could have such a vile hobby? She had no idea.
She had only wanted to exchange a few words, to become friends. But given the state he was in, there was nothing she could do for him. If she forced her way in, there was no telling what kind of trouble might follow. All she could do was keep watch from a distance.
"But who the hell spilled water all over here?"
As she started up the stairs, she noticed a wet trail someone had left right down the middle of the hallway.
She'd have to come back out with a mop later. Honestly…
The building manager had stopped by briefly.
She was the one who always made too much food and, out of kindness, brought the extras to me—someone who lived alone and survived on nothing but cup rice. I didn't want her dragged into the situation I was trapped in, so I turned her away at the door and told her to leave.
"Hhk… hhk-uuuh………."
Faced with everything I was going through, I collapsed right there in the entryway and could do nothing but cry.
I hated this life—this life where I couldn't do a single thing, where my own younger sister beat me and raped me.
"Fuck…… Why… why did it have to be me……."
I resented it. Resented everything.
Every woman I had ever known had twisted into something rotten. They treated me like an object, kept calling me theirs, and wouldn't stop trying to claim me.
Maybe I should just shut my eyes and… report it to the police….
I resented, I raged, I grieved—but nothing about my present changed.
All I could see was the shackle Minhi had locked around my ankle. While she was out, she had made sure I couldn't run. The chain attached to the cuff was fastened to the heavy bed frame.
I never should have gone looking for her….
If I had just pretended from the start that I had no younger sister, none of this would have happened. I never would have had to suffer like this.
I leaned against the front door and stared blankly up at the ceiling.
Come to think of it….
The landlady had said she was leaving side dishes by the front door….
If Minhi came back and found them sitting there, there was no telling what she might do to me over it. So I pulled the batteries out of the door lock and quietly opened the door.
I carefully stretched out my hand, brought the side dishes the manager had made inside, then put the batteries back into the lock. In the kitchen, I lifted the lid.
"……Braised potatoes……."
She usually brought the same things over and over—soy-braised beef or soy-braised eggs—but the flavor was always a little different, so they were still good to eat. Today she had brought something else.
I told myself I should put them away before Minhi got back. My fingers, though, had already started picking at the food.
"Mmh… nn… nnnn…… It's good…."
Why were tears coming just from something like this…?
Was it because someone had made it for me?
Or was it… because those words from earlier—that she would help me anytime—kept rising up in my head? I didn't understand why a single warm sentence could make me cry like this.
One piece. Two. Three. I kept picking them up with my fingers and eating.
"Kh-hhk……."
I had shoved too many potatoes into my mouth at once. My throat closed up—but even then, my fingers wouldn't stop.
"Kh-hhk… kh-hhk…."
I was still sitting there in place, eating the braised potatoes the manager had made for me, when the sound of someone punching in the door-lock code reached my ears.
—Beep-beep-beep-beep.
"Ah…… N-no…."
At the sound of those beeps, I froze, panicking over what to do with the side dish still in my hands.
Before the door could open, I had no choice. I bolted for the sink with the food still clutched against me.
—Creeeak—
"Oppa, I'm ho—? What are you doing at the sink?"
"Ah, nothing…."
"Sniff sniff… sniff…… What's that smell?"
"Ah… It's nothing…."
Minhi looked at me with cold eyes. She set down the convenience-store bag she had brought, then started walking toward me.
"What's this?"
"Th-that's…."
"I said, what is it?"
"Th-th… th… at…."
"Stop stuttering and just say it. I'm not angry yet, so hurry up and talk. You know I can't stand it when you keep shaking and mumbling like that, right?"
"Y-yeah……."
Minhi came up beside the sink, looked down at the side dish I had dumped there, and started questioning me about the whole situation.
"I clearly threw out every scrap of food waste in the fridge earlier. So why is this sitting here right now?"
She picked up one of the discarded potatoes from the sink, held it up in front of my face, and waved it at me.
"Hmm? Oppa. What is this supposed to be?"
"Th-that's… trash. I threw it out…."
"Yeah, anyone can see that. I'm asking why it's here in the first place."
"………"
My silence seemed to irritate her. She let out a deep sigh, grabbed my hand, and dragged me straight to the bed.
"You just don't want to talk, is that it? Right?"
"N-no…."
"Then why won't you say anything? Hmm? My Oppa?"
She sat me down on the bed, went back for the convenience-store bag she had dropped by the front door, and sat down beside me.
"I'm not asking you for anything hard. I'm just asking what you did. But if you keep being this uncooperative with me, I'll have no choice but to break you until you have no one left to depend on but me."
"………"
"Are you going to keep this up?"
From the bag, Minhi rustled around and pulled something out.
"Shall we try something today, Oppa? Let's see who wins—me, or your little silence."
"N-no…."
What she had taken from the bag was a bottle of extremely strong liquor.
I had no idea what she planned to do with it.
"Then tell me. What happened while I was gone?"
"Th-that's… the neighbor upstairs… she brought over some side dishes and left……."
"…That fucking bitch……."
Sitting next to me, Minhi spat the curse, and her hands began to tremble as if she were about to smash the bottle she was holding.
"So. Did you talk to that fucking bitch?"
"N-no… I didn't…."
"You didn't? You really didn't?"
"Y-yeah… really… I d-didn't even open the door… I just yelled at her to leave…."
"Really?"
"Yeah…… I-it's true…."
It was half true and half a lie.
Even so, Minhi seemed to believe me. She looked at me with a faint smile.
"Really, really?"
"Yeah… really, Minhi…."
"Okay… so that's how it is."
I thought she had believed me—until she started unscrewing the cap on the liquor bottle.
"Hmm~ I see~ So our Oppa turned that woman away at the door. Then how exactly did he end up with her side dishes? The story doesn't add up front to back. Did you really think I'd just swallow that and move on?"
"M-Minhi…."
"It's okay, Oppa. It happens. It happens… of course it does… It's just like a kid spilling water. You made a little mistake, that's all. And I'm just going to educate you for it, little by little."
My lie had been caught.
Minhi pressed the liquor bottle into my hand, then reached into the suitcase she had brought from home and started pulling out a syringe. Before she could finish, I threw myself down at her feet.
"M-Minhi… p-please… please… I-I was wrong… I was wrong. Please, so please don't—don't give me that sh-shot… please… I'm begging you, please, Minhi—"
I clung to her legs and scrubbed my hands against the floor, begging for all I was worth.
"It's okay, Oppa. Your mistake is just an opportunity. You can make up for it."
From the suitcase she drew out a syringe and a vial of drugs and held them out toward me.
"Today I really want to see Oppa drunk like last night… and I also want to turn you into a drooling idiot who can't do anything but cum because of the drugs. You know?"
"M-Minhi… please… I-I was wrong…."
"It's okay~ It's okay, Oppa~ Don't be scared. I'll educate you carefully, one step at a time."
Still sitting on the floor, I felt Minhi slowly stroke my body as she brought the open liquor bottle to my face.
"Come on. Say aah~ Aah~"
"Minhi… please……."
"Here we go, glug-glug~ Time for your drink~~"
She pressed the mouth of the bottle harder and harder against my lips.
"Don't want to drink, Oppa?"
—Nod. Nod.
"Then want to make a bet with me?"
She set the bottle that had been crushing my lips down on the floor for a moment.
Beside it, she placed the syringe. The two objects sat neatly in front of me.
"Honestly, for lying to me—and for mixing in talk about some other fucking bitch—I'd love to give you a real punishment. But I love Oppa, so I'll still give you a chance to choose."
"………"
Minhi set both objects down in front of my eyes and began forcing me to pick.
It already pissed me off that some fucking bitch had talked to Oppa while I was gone.
And the fact that he had taken the side dishes that bitch was carrying—right now I wanted to grab a kitchen knife, go find her, and kill her.
But if I did that, everything I had built up until now would collapse. So I had to endure.
Until I secured the love nest I wanted.
It's all Oppa's fault. It's Oppa's fault for looking at other women instead of looking at me.
Originally, the high-proof liquor had been for tonight—something for the two of us to drink alone at home, so I could push down a weak, drunken Oppa afterward. But the plan had changed.
I was curious what would happen if I injected him while he was already drunk.
"Come on, Oppa. Hurry up and choose."
He stared at the liquor and the syringe laid out in front of him, and every time his eyes met mine they went wet and glistening.
Haa~ Fuuuuck♡ He looks so goddamn hot like that.
Just imagining Oppa pinned under me, whimpering with those eyes, was already getting me worked up.
"M-Minhi……."
That look of his was turning me on—but I kept the mask on, hid the heat, and kept playing the part of someone still angry.
"Choose, Oppa. Where else in the world are you going to find a little sister who gives you a choice every single time like this?"
I was only pretending to give him a choice. In the end, I was going to do both.
I was still hungry.
And I wanted to devour Oppa whole.
