Role Reversal (Part 2)
Yu-jin shook her head and let out a long sigh as she looked up at Kim Su-jung.
“Whew… I’m sorry I hit you. But this time you crossed the line. I won’t apologize for that.”
Of course she had apologized, yet the irritation still burned inside her chest.
Kim Su-jung answered quietly.
“……You don’t want to know?”
“What?”
“How your husband feels….”
“Stop it. I’m still holding back my anger.”
“And… your husband wants to know your feelings too….”
“Stop it right now!”
Finally Yu-jin shouted at her friend, and only then did Su-jung close her mouth.
“L-ladies, fighting in public isn’t allowed.”
“Ah, sorry. It’s fine now.”
“Y-yes… understood…”
A short while later a clerk rushed over after hearing the raised voices. Yu-jin sent him away with a casual wave.
From that moment on Yu-jin kept her head bowed.
The stone had already been thrown. She decided it was pointless to push further—more reversal would only make things worse. She simply waited in silence for Su-jung’s next move.
A little later Yu-jin stood up and spoke.
“Kim Su-jung. I’m leaving first. And whatever happened here today is forgotten.”
“Okay… I’m sorry.”
“Why are you apologizing?”
“Ah, no. I’ll go after you a bit later.”
Yu-jin turned and walked out of the café without looking back.
Su-jung was left alone. She sighed and leaned back in her chair.
“Ha… damn crazy woman… even if it’s your husband’s best friend, you really went for him….”
She wondered if she had spoken too carelessly.
“Sigh… what do I even do….”
It was first love.
No matter how ill-suited it seemed for someone like Su-jung, who chased men from place to place, there was still a pure, honest crush blooming inside her.
“Damn it….”
Su-jung downed the cold coffee in one gulp and left the café.
***
“Something like that happened…”
“It’s not my place to say, but… is she really your friend?”
Yu-jin listened to every word Seo-hyun had said and felt an unpleasant sting toward Su-jung.
Even if it was indirect, Su-jung was the one who had betrayed Seo-hyun. Besides… wanting to sleep with Seo-hyun’s own husband…
That part… I really shouldn’t be the one saying anything…
Yu-jin realized how selfish she was. Bad-mouthing someone else came far too easily.
“Yeah. She’s not a bad person. She’s not bad at all…”
“Are you really all right? You don’t want me to feel this way against my will or anything like that, right? You don’t even have that kind of taste, so it would only make you feel worse…”
“Still, I want to try it once. And according to her… you’re not the same, either! I would never resent or blame you!”
Seo-hyun stopped mid-sentence, flustered. Yu-jin reached out and gently stroked her head.
“Yeah. I don’t think that at all.”
Seo-hyun simply accepted Yu-jin’s touch. The knot in her chest finally loosened.
“……But I still want to try it. I want us to change and experience this together.”
“If that’s what you want, I’ll do it.”
“Okay. Please…”
“Please? Then commanding you is even better.”
Yu-jin said it with a playful lilt.
“Haha… no thanks. I’ll do it as a request.”
Seo-hyun laughed softly and pouted.
“Then you have to listen to me. It’s a request from your wife.”
“Thanks. Can I call her right now?”
“Sure.”
Seo-hyun reached for her phone to call Su-jung.
Yu-jin caught her hand.
“Huh? Changed your mind? No problem, you can say it however you want.”
“No… that’s not it… what if Su-jung doesn’t show up…?”
“……”
Seo-hyun’s eyes widened in surprise at Yu-jin’s words.
She immediately began to think seriously.
“Hmm… that’s right… Su-jung isn’t the type to talk big and then back out… if she doesn’t show up, she’ll be hurt, right…?”
“It’s not like that… but…”
“I don’t want that either.”
“……”
Seo-hyun thought for a moment longer and then came up with a solution.
“What if I go meet Jin-woo while Su-jung is with you?”
Yu-jin paused for a second.
“……Maybe.”
“Maybe?”
“I think it can work…”
“So that’s what we’ll do? Is it really okay?”
“Compared to you… you’re the one who should be worried.”
“I’m fine.”
“I’m fine too.”
“Great. Shall I call her now?”
Yu-jin nodded and released Seo-hyun’s hand.
Seo-hyun called Su-jung again.
“Hello?”
“……I’ll do it.”
“Huh? I can barely hear you.”
“I’ll allow it.”
On the other end of the phone Su-jung fell silent for a moment before speaking.
“……Is this really what you’re thinking of?”
“Yeah. That’s exactly what I’m thinking of.”
“……Okay. When?”
Seo-hyun covered the phone and looked at Yu-jin.
Yu-jin whispered softly.
“Tomorrow? Right away?”
“Okay.”
Seo-hyun spoke into the phone again.
“Tomorrow, right away. I’ll tell you the time and place through Kakao Talk.”
“Okay. Your place…?”
“No way. Meet at the station and go straight to the motel.”
“……Okay.”
Seo-hyun didn’t want her and Yu-jin’s home invaded.
“I’ll let you know the time and place later.”
“Okay.”
“And…?”
“Huh?”
“Hang up. Got it?”
“……I’ll try.”
Seo-hyun ended the call.
She wondered why Su-jung had said such things. Su-jung liked men, but she wasn’t crazy enough to target Seo-hyun’s own husband. Yet she had still crossed the line…
“Whew… then I’ll contact Jin-woo separately.”
“Not now?”
“It’s late.”
“Ah, right… okay. Are you tired? Should we sleep soon?”
“Yeah. Today was really hard… because of Kim Bu-jang…”
“…You worked hard.”
“Hahaha. When things get tough I just remember the pictures you gave me and I get stronger. Thank you.”
“What… that’s enough to keep you going. Hurry up and shower, then sleep.”
“Okay.”
They both showered and lay down on the bed. Neither could close their eyes for long—Yu-jin and Seo-hyun tossed and turned, minds tangled in complicated thoughts.
***
The next day.
Before Yu-jin stepped out of the front door, Seo-hyun pulled her close and whispered.
“My love. I’m not going to say anything else. Go, make Su-jung regret it, and come back.”
“……”
Yu-jin hesitated whether to laugh or stay serious at Seo-hyun’s playful threat.
But Seo-hyun wasn’t joking.
“It’s not a joke, my love. If you don’t come back after fighting her first, I won’t talk to you for a while. Got it?”
“……Okay.”
The mission was grave.
…It’ll be tough holding back for long…
Still, Seo-hyun’s cute threat left no choice.
Seeing Yu-jin worried, Seo-hyun spoke hesitantly.
“Um… if I give you a hint…?”
“No.”
“Huh?”
Seo-hyun tried to tell her anyway, but Yu-jin cut her off.
Then, with a serious expression, she asked:
“You don’t trust me?”
“……Fuhuh…! Fuhuhuhu…!”
Seo-hyun finally burst out laughing at the serious tone.
Yu-jin had spoken sincerely, but the fact that Seo-hyun was smiling made everything worthwhile.
A moment later Seo-hyun stopped laughing and said:
“My love. I’ll head to Jin-woo’s in a little while. You don’t have to contact me, okay?”
“Yeah. Just send me a text when you leave.”
“Got it. Then, my love—take a photo of Su-jung’s ridiculous face after she faints, and send it to me. Understood?”
“Photos are a bit… isn’t that cheating?”
“I’ll take care of it. She has to take the first step.”
“……Okay. And the level…?”
“……”
Yu-jin’s sudden question made Seo-hyun’s eyes widen in surprise.
She immediately started thinking about limits.
Her thoughts were short. She wanted to feel everything properly.
“Condom.”
“Huh? That’s obvious…”
“I’ll allow anything as long as you wear a condom. Kissing too…”
“……Is that okay?”
“Yeah. It’s fine.”
“……Okay. I’ll be back soon.”
“Yeah. Fight hard, my love!”
Instead of answering verbally, Yu-jin stole a kiss on Seo-hyun’s lips and stepped out the door.
“……Surprised you?”
Seo-hyun stood there dumbstruck after the sudden kiss.
***
Su-jung had prepared herself even more than usual, waiting for Yu-jin.
Her makeup was flawless, and she had dressed in clothes that hugged her body. She almost sprayed perfume but decided against it—she knew Yu-jin disliked strong scents.
Whew… I’m so nervous…
The last time Su-jung had seen Yu-jin was from a distance. Of course she hadn’t forgotten her face since the first meeting, but actually facing her again after so long—especially alone—made her heart race.
She had even arrived at the meeting place thirty minutes early. Any man who knew Su-jung would have been stunned.
She stood nervously, staring only at her wristwatch.
Then she spotted Yu-jin in the distance. When she glanced at her own watch again, fifteen minutes were still left.
Su-jung pretended to be unaware while staring at her wrist, even though she could feel Yu-jin approaching.
Yu-jin noticed and hurried over.
She was still beautiful—cool and composed, a different kind of beauty from Seo-hyun.
“Hello. Sorry I’m late.”
She had plenty of time left, but she apologized anyway because she had arrived after the other person.
Su-jung finally looked up from her wrist and met Yu-jin’s gaze.
“Ah, hello. No, it’s fine. I came early. Do you remember me? Kim Su-jung.”
“Yes. We’ve had meals together a few times.”
Su-jung’s heart fluttered at the thought that Yu-jin remembered her.
“Then shall we go right away?”
“Yes.”
Su-jung stepped forward first, having chosen the motel she wanted.
Yu-jin followed her pace.
Su-jung stole a glance at Yu-jin and spoke.
“Y-you must be surprised, huh?”
“……Honestly, yes.”
“I’m sorry…”
“No, it’s fine. My wife was also worried and eventually agreed.”
“That’s not it… I was just thinking of doing this with Yu-jin for no reason…”
“Ah, no. It’s not like that at all…”
Yu-jin almost praised her but changed the subject, feeling it wouldn’t do.
“It’s not a problem for me.”
“Ah… okay…”
Su-jung wanted to hear the rest, but she couldn’t ask.
Was she crazy? Sorry about nothing? Or maybe… a beauty…?
Sigh… what does she even mean? A person married to someone like Seo-hyun…
She finally dropped the thought.
“Anyway, you don’t have to worry about me at all.”
“Yes…”
A short while later they arrived at the motel and both reached for their wallets.
“I’ll pay….”
“No. My wife told me to use her card.”
“Seo-hyun’s card…?”
“Yeah. So I’ll take care of it here.”
“……Okay.”
Su-jung couldn’t fully understand, but she had no choice.
Yu-jin finished paying, and a moment later a Kakao Talk message arrived from Seo-hyun.
She was heading to Jin-woo’s.
Exciting… but a couple having sex with different people… it’s like a doomed, pre-divorce couple…
Yu-jin felt strangely uneasy, yet her body was honest—already aroused.
At almost the same moment a message also came from Su-jung.
Yu-jin couldn’t see it, but the expression on Su-jung’s face was enough to guess the content.
Both carried their separate messages from Seo-hyun and walked toward the room with subtle expressions.
The room was quite romantic.
Yu-jin spoke to Su-jung, wondering if she had chosen it.
“Would you like to shower first?”
“Yes…”
Su-jung had showered at home, but she decided to do it again just in case.
“Take your time.”
“Okay. Then…”
A moment later Su-jung entered the bathroom with a robe. The wall was made of glass with only the center frosted for privacy.
Her body wasn’t fully visible, but the upper and lower parts clearly showed everything.
Of course Su-jung knew. Yu-jin deliberately turned her eyes away and thought of something else.
A little later Su-jung came out wrapped in a robe. She hadn’t washed her hair, but the ends were still damp.
Yu-jin kept her head turned, unable to look anywhere else.
Su-jung watched her and thought to herself.
So cute…
“I’m done. Yu-jin, please shower too.”
“Ah, yes.”
Yu-jin kept walking into the bathroom with her eyes averted.
If she weren’t already in a daze she would have thought the man’s behavior strange, but Su-jung found it adorable and caring.
While Yu-jin showered, Su-jung checked herself in the mirror one last time.
She fixed her makeup, which she didn’t entirely like. She left it as it was, knowing Yu-jin would come out any moment.
Whew… it’s fine.
But she grew more and more nervous.
A little later Yu-jin stepped out wearing only a robe.
……She has a nice body.
Su-jung stared without turning away. The muscles beneath the robe matched her taste perfectly—broad shoulders, neither too thick nor too thin…
“Ah…”
When her gaze dropped lower, Su-jung couldn’t help but let out a soft moan.
It was big. Far larger than she imagined.
She hadn’t known because Seo-hyun had never said anything like that.
Under such a handsome face…
Is she actually crazy because of this thing…?
Su-jung naturally thought it.
“Ahem… then shall we go to the bed?”
“Ah, yes…”
Yu-jin noticed Su-jung staring and gave a small, awkward cough.
Su-jung realized she had been caught and felt her face flush red.
They walked awkwardly toward the bed.
