Walking SEX (End)
"...What?"
He hadn't sensed a single presence. So where—!?
Do Minhyeok froze on the spot.
He had definitely just heard a voice. Right beside his ear, no less.
A hallucination? Had his own delusions swollen out of control from sheer rapture? No—that couldn't be...!
"Which bastard—ghhk!?"
Do Minhyeok swung a fist of retribution at whoever had dared sneak into his bedroom uninvited.
He was a Level 9 Warrior—the highest level among the gangsters occupying the Yumin Building. Level 10 and his first skill were practically within reach.
But his attempt ended as pure fantasy. In a blink, the intruder had an arm locked around his throat.
It shouldn't have been possible to go down that helplessly. He was a Level 9 Warrior; he'd invested a fair amount into his stats. And yet—
W-what the hell... This strength, this agility...!
He couldn't stop the arm from cinching tight. A sleeper choke—a submission hold designed to knock someone out cold and leave them powerless.
The form was clumsy, though. The kind of technique that suggested someone with even less fighting experience than his own underlings... So how the hell did this guy have strength like this!?
"Kh... hhk...!"
Unable to accept that an amateur had choked him unconscious, Do Minhyeok went limp.
The intruder hauled his slack body up and dumped him onto the bed like a sack of cargo.
"Ah—aah...!"
Do Minhyeok wasn't the only one stunned by an intruder who had appeared without the slightest warning.
Kim Seyeon, too, was left speechless by the sudden turn of events, her expression completely unguarded. And who could blame her? A man in a brown jacket and jeans, face hidden behind a military beanie and a mask, had just materialized right in front of her. Not being terrified would have been the strange part.
"You are Kim Seyeon?"
"Uh—yes?"
But the moment she heard his voice, something in her snapped sharply into focus.
Th-this man... How does he know my name?
"Park Seeun. Do you know her?"
"Ah... I do, but—wait...!?"
At the familiar name, her shaken composure began to settle back into place, piece by piece.
Park Seeun? Seeun? Why is that name coming up here...? Don't tell me—did Seeun send him?
Jeong Hoon lowered his mask, extended his hand toward Kim Seyeon, and whispered.
"If you wish to live, take my hand and follow me."
One hour before the breach of the Yumin Building—
Park Seeun had welcomed the plan to rescue Kim Seyeon at first, but she didn't hold back when something rubbed her the wrong way.
"Why aren't we just killing them? Those bastards deserve to have the flesh ripped off their bones!"
"Because of the system."
"Huh? The system?"
"Seeun. Did you already forget? The PK system! If you kill someone—beep!—it broadcasts a notification across a two-kilometer radius saying, 'Jeong Hoon has slit so-and-so's throat with a dagger!' That's what the administrator told us! So if even one person dies in that building, every last one of them will know. If the whole place goes on alert... well, your sister could end up in danger too..."
Sora's phrasing was a little graphic, but she was dead-on. Park Seeun's face shifted as the realization hit, and she quickly apologized to me, swearing she'd do whatever it took to help.
She was a refreshingly straightforward kid. I'd expected her pride to make her stubborn, but she didn't just push her own agenda. From her looks and her situation, I'd figured she was the rebellious type—but she turned out to be a good-hearted, spirited girl, nothing like what I'd imagined.
"Then we move at once."
"P-please be careful...!"
"We're counting on you... Please—Seyeon unnie, you have to...!"
"Young man, we're countin' on ya!"
"Please! Bring Teacher Kim Seyeon back safe!"
"G-go get 'em!"
The other survivors recovering on the school rooftop caught wind that I was heading out and sent up a chorus of encouragement.
Hmm. This Kim Seyeon woman clearly commanded quite a reputation.
The plan was simple. The Yumin Building wasn't far from here. Talking it over with Sora, we'd gauged the distance at maybe 1.5 kilometers at most—nowhere near two.
So Sora would keep the building under surveillance from the school rooftop with a sniper's eye, while I helped her lock down her sightlines and used her intel to infiltrate, extract Kim Seyeon, and get out.
Information would be shared through the walkie-talkies we'd scavenged the day before. I slipped through the shadows cast by moonlight and closed in on the Yumin Building.
"Sora, can you hear me?"
"Yes... static... it's a bit far, but... static... I can hear you!"
Good.
I'd been half-worried, but the radio held up fine even at this range. I hunkered down in the ruins near the Yumin Building and studied the entrance.
No one stood out front—just a barricade. Beyond it, I could make out the shattered remnants of a glass door, but not much past that.
"Um... static... two people at the lobby reception desk... static... standing watch. Probably... static... Archers. Their eyes... static... look sharp."
The dream team of sniper and hardcore gamer even came with detective-level deduction. I nodded at the solid intel and started thinking about how to draw those two out.
...If they really are Archers, that means they've got good eyes too, right?
I activated Stealth and pressed myself flat against the wall of the Yumin Building, sliding along it. Once I reached the entrance, I triggered a Rogue skill I'd barely touched until now.
Rogue Skill: Trap Installation E
Clatter!
Just as expected, a hunting-style snare materialized. I tossed it carelessly near the entrance. The trap bounced and scraped across the floor with a racket loud enough for anyone inside to hear.
"Huh?"
"The fuck was that."
"Hey, Archer Kim. Go check it out."
"You piece of shit, I told you it's Bow Kim!"
"Who gives a damn, asshole! Your class is Archer! Go check it!"
"Fuck...!"
Ugly bickering drifted out from inside.
Then came the sound of someone rising from the reception desk and stomping toward the entrance in a foul mood.
So that one's the Archer. Perfect.
I waited for the exact moment he stepped outside.
"Huh? The hell is this. A trap?"
While the gangster—Archer Kim or whatever—couldn't tear his eyes off the crude snare, I used Stealth S and my Agility of 18 to slip inside the building.
Then I closed in fast on the guy still at the desk, snickering over a comic book by lamplight, and came up right behind him.
"Yo, you check it out? If you did—mmph!"
Those were the last words the gangster at the desk ever got out.
Naturally, I didn't kill him. I clamped a sleeper choke over his throat and mouth and put him under, then carefully laid him beneath the desk.
"Someone must've been trying to catch something. Tossed it from upstairs? Hey. Asshole. Where'd you g—huh?"
The second I finished stashing him, the Archer-class gangster who'd gone to check the trap came back.
The instant the scene behind the reception desk hit his eyes, my fist filled his vision.
Thud!
"Ghhk...!"
Before he could even register the pain, I drove another blow into his gut. Thud!
He went slack.
Ugh, this bastard's bigger than the last one. Heavy as hell! A woman I could manage, but hauling some dude around just pisses me off. Goddammit!
Cursing a blue streak in my head, I carefully laid him inside the desk area. Then I whispered into the radio.
"I'm in."
"G-great job. Now... once you're inside... th-the building's screen caps should work off a single button! In buildings gangsters use... they say every floor has... th-those kinds of setups!"
I had no idea who she'd heard it from, but Han Sora was feeding me some genuinely useful intel.
Well, odds were one of the survivors back there knew something about this building.
From there, it was smooth sailing. Floor by floor, I lured people out one or two at a time, knocked them cold, and stuffed them in bathrooms or empty storage rooms. I found the screen-cap devices and disabled them—ripped a few out with sheer force—and Han Sora's overwatch through her sniper's vision was pure gold.
"R-right ahead, Office B... static... two of them! To the right... toward the bathroom!"
"Understood."
Thud!
"Gahhk...!"
Crunch!
"Y-you—who are—mmph!"
I repeated the process all the way up. These gangsters had clearly scraped together every local thug they could find. I'd already knocked out or neutralized over forty of them, and more than half still looked like kids who hadn't dried the blood behind their ears yet.
Probably scooped up the delinquents from the nearby vocational high school. Figures.
Climbing the more-than-ten-story building one floor at a time, I finally reached the top—standing before the door to the largest room.
"This the last one?"
"Yes... static... that should be... static... the room that Do Minhyeok guy... static... uses!"
It certainly looked like something a boss would claim. The door was even trying a little too hard to look expensive. Or rather, expensive in a tacky way—that was the more accurate description.
Creeeak...
I eased the door open a crack. No reaction.
Hmm? I'd already subdued every last underling on the way up and opened it without any real caution—so why hadn't anyone noticed?
Pushing the door wider, I took in a room that vaguely resembled a chairman's office. It was dark, though. A thin spill of light leaked from the right side. There was an adjoining room. A pantry, maybe?
"Heh... Careful now, or I'll be the one getting conquered by a married woman's technique and sucked dry all night long. Ain't that right, Kim Seyeon? Kahahahahaha!"
A man's voice—crude and vicious—echoed from within.
Jackpot. I crowed silently and slipped into the side room under Stealth S without a second's hesitation.
The room wasn't a pantry—it was closer to a bedroom. I confirmed two figures in front of a sprawling bed.
I closed in on the one who looked like a man, coming up behind him. He had the woman I assumed was Kim Seyeon sitting there in lewd lingerie that laid his sexual tastes bare for anyone to see.
And he was about to drop his pants. Damn it. I'd wanted a more dramatic entrance than this.
No choice. Time to crash the party.
"You need not worry about that, trash."
"What? Which bastard—ghhk!?"
Without waiting for Do Minhyeok to turn around, I locked my arm around his throat and applied the sleeper choke.
Look at this guy. He's thrashing like crazy. If I'm not careful he'll break free—I tightened my grip harder.
"Kh... hhk...!"
Once I put real power into it, Do Minhyeok's resistance faded bit by bit until he finally went limp. It had been the hardest one yet, but I'd pulled it off. I whispered as quietly as I could to Han Sora.
"Any message window?"
"Y-yes? Ah... static... nothing popped up."
Whew. Good. I hadn't killed him.
I'd squeezed hard enough to wonder, but it turned out fine. I pinched his collar between the fingers of both hands like he was a bag of food waste and tossed him roughly onto the bed.
And then, at last, I faced her. The woman who'd drawn the lustful attention of a gangster boss—the owner of a cruelly twisted fate. Kim Seyeon.
"Ah... ah...!"
Long black hair cascading all the way to her hips. Dark crimson eyes. Lips that radiated pure seduction.
And on top of that... mmph... ahem...!
I... I genuinely had not expected a woman like this.
No, this was... that is...
I had not expected someone who looked like a succubus given human form.
Say Han Sora and Park Seeun could be accepted as conventionally beautiful women with good figures. The Kim Seyeon standing in front of me could not be measured by those standards.
She was the kind of woman you could only describe as overflowing with allure and carnal heat—the kind who could set a night ablaze with a man and drain every last drop of his essence dry.
What the hell is this person... This is a married woman? Seeun, is this for real?
Did you maybe mishear "walking SEX" and describe her wrong?
Even accounting for the skimpy lingerie... her entire existence is so obscenely erotic there's nowhere safe to look!
Those breasts ready to burst free are already stealing my eyes, but that exposed midriff with her navel showing... that's the belly of a married woman who's given birth? The question hits you whether you want it to or not!
And those fantastically curved hips, the thighs flowing down from them... any man who got caught between those thighs would get sucked dry all night long!
Good lord. She really is a walking piece of obscenity. Obscenity! Shouldn't someone report her for public indecency!?
That Do Minhyeok bastard... I'll spare him a speck—literally a speck—of sympathy.
If a woman this dripping with raw sexuality existed right in front of me... I couldn't swear my own eyes wouldn't glaze over either.
Whoops! I lingered too long drowning in dirty thoughts. Lust I never even felt toward Han Sora just detonated and I—!
"You are Kim Seyeon?"
"Uh—yes?"
To the trembling Kim Seyeon, I carefully whispered a name that was practically a cheat code.
"Park Seeun. Do you know her?"
"Huh? Ah, I know her... but—wait...!?"
At the familiar name, some of the fear drained from her face.
Whoa, even an expression like that... instantly conjures up a succubus who could enchant any man—
No. No. Clean thoughts. Clean thoughts, Jeong Hoon!
If I keep going like this I'll end up slack-jawed and then Lawful Good will come bursting out screaming, "YOU BASTAAAAARD!" Goddammit!
I took a deep breath. Then I held out my hand to Kim Seyeon and whispered softly.
"If you wish to live, take my hand and follow me."
I led Kim Seyeon out of the Yumin Building, leaving a trail of carnage behind us. It was April, but the night air had a real chill to it. So I took off the jacket I was wearing and handed it to her. She didn't seem any more eager than I was to wander around in that lingerie—she slipped it on with her head bowed.
"I-I followed you for now, but... are you certain Seeun sent you? But why would she...?"
Kim Seyeon stuck close behind me, wound tight with tension. The countless traces of the havoc I'd left on our way out seemed to have her nerves boiling over.
Ah... explaining is a pain, and it doesn't really feel like my job anyway. So I tossed her one truly concise line and kept leading the way.
"Park Seeun will explain when you meet her. And as it happens—there she is."
"What? Ah...!"
Daengdaeng Elementary School was already right in front of us.
As we neared the school gate, Sora, Park Seeun, and the other survivors were waiting just as planned.
"Seyeon unnie!"
"S-Seeun... everyone!"
Kim Seyeon pulled the tearful Seeun into a hug—and then went slack-jawed at the sight of the people around them. She looked utterly shell-shocked.
Ah... she came along in a daze and never noticed a thing.
Han Sora must have picked up on Kim Seyeon's confusion too; the color drained from her face.
"W-what's going on? Why is everyone at the school gate...? No—not everyone, is it? Where are the others...? What happened to the school? Did something terrible happen?"
Unable to calm her confusion, Kim Seyeon unleashed a barrage of questions on Park Seeun.
The one on the receiving end wore a face heavy with sorrow rather than irritation. She had to deliver a truth that was far too tragic.
...But this was not the right place to share it.
"We must move at once. This location is far too dangerous. I shall guide you to the villa where I am staying. A party of a little over twenty should find it more than adequate for living."
I left that brief implication hanging, ordered Sora to watch our rear with her sniper's vision, and took the lead.
"A-a little over twenty people... adequate for living... S-Seeun. What... what does that mean? What on earth is that man... trying to say..."
"Seyeon unnie..."
"Seyeon, dear. The truth is..."
The oldest among the survivors—a grandmother—clutched Kim Seyeon's hand with a face on the verge of tears, trembling. That was the last thing I took in before I stepped to the front.
We couldn't linger here. Alarm bells had been ringing in my head for a while now.
...Whoever's been mass-producing those skeletons is somewhere very close.
If we ran into them, the result would almost certainly be a massacre. The only thing pounding irregularly in my chest was the resolve to get out of here as fast as humanly possible.
And so the rescue operation for Kim Seyeon and the survivors of Daengdaeng Elementary School came to a close.
I caught a glimpse of Kim Seyeon's face twisting with despair as Park Seeun and the survivors told her the truth...
And I could not shake the premonition that starting tomorrow, I might be fighting monsters even stronger than anything I'd faced so far.
