My Lucky Encounter From The Game Turned Into Reality 69.1: Peaceful Vibes (Part 4)
Even so, an Aura Master shouldn’t have died from that, right? His magic staff hadn’t been used, so the power was weakened anyway.
The merciless attack left everyone on set stunned.
The defensive barrier built for the duel arena to withstand magic’s might shattered in an instant only to recover moments later.
A 7-circle spell packs the destructive power to level an entire castle. That’s why it was taking the place of the Sky Fortress’s main cannon.
It was only natural for Felix to worry about being struck again by the barrage.
“Medical staff! Saint candidate Eve! Hurry!”
The MCs frantically searched for the healer and Eve.
A group of people, including Eve, came rushing over.
“No need to worry.”
I waved my hand while the filming crew stood there bewildered.
“I let the power hold back just enough. He won’t die.”
“Th-this counts as holding back?”
“You saw me not using the magic staff, right?”
“Ah… I see.”
I checked Felix through the Mankyung. He was still alive.
Once the arena was cleared of fire and smoke, my eyes landed on the Vanguard at the center. It had Force Sword planted in the ground, completely blackened by soot.
**Psssssh.**
Felix’s Force Armor, worn by the Vanguard, shattered into a thousand glass-like pieces.
“Cheat… cowardly…”
Felix muttered those words amid the white smoke and collapsed once more.
A Force Armor worth over five hundred billion credits was destroyed by the shock alone.
If he had used the magic staff, he wouldn’t have just lost the armor—he would have been truly dead.
My magic staff, crafted by the Lucas Duke, was highly efficient. It boosted power by roughly fifty percent.
Eve cast a heal. The medical staff sprayed potions all over him.
The force armor had sacrificed itself for him, so the damage to Felix looked mild.
He should be up soon.
“Um, this match is a win for Lord Lawrence… but…”
The judge looked troubled, reacting as if unsure whether this really counted as a duel.
I answered simply.
“Such situations can happen in real combat.”
My original point had been that mages could use a wider variety of magic in battle.
But the only spells I’d shown so far were four. The argument didn’t carry much weight.
Still, the fact that Felix had been knocked unconscious twice clearly proved the long-held view of mages as weak in combat was being challenged here.
Thanks to that one-sided magic assault, people had started sympathizing with the once-despised Felix.
“If you want to fight again, Your Excellency Felix, I’ll make sure not to repeat the same spell. I’ll use magic in varied ways.”
“Ugh! Do you think I’ll allow this kind of tactic? I’ll fight properly next time!”
“Ah, you’re back up.”
Felix gritted his teeth and rose.
His Force Armor had been destroyed, his clothes were rags, but his eyes still burned with life.
I couldn’t help but praise that resolve.
“Are you quite all right, Lord Felix?”
Now everyone was worried about him, not me.
Felix stared at the MC with gritted teeth, confused by the sudden concern.
“Am I the one you’re asking?”
“Ah, no. You should probably change clothes first.”
“Tsk. Fine.”
Seeing his condition, Felix reluctantly left the set with a defeated look.
I called after his retreating back.
“Pay for the destroyed Force Armor using the Lawrence fiefdom’s funds.”
“I don’t need it!”
He shouted and stormed off the set.
That damn pride of his. If I accepted money coldly, I’d actually gain five hundred billion.
Felix’s exit forced a brief break in filming.
I walked over to Eve, patted her on the back for working so hard, and took the seat next to Arsia, who was munching popcorn with sparkling eyes.
“No matter how it’s a strategy, are you all right? Felix got too excited.”
The MC, Jimmy, came over and voiced his concern.
It was clear he’d figured out I was toying with Felix.
“If he gets excited, he won’t win the fight.”
“Is that so? Well… even for a broadcast, my heart is pounding.”
I had wanted to chat with him, but he came to me instead.
It was perfect timing, so I asked.
“I heard you’re famous for having connections across domestic and international entertainment.”
“Well, I do have a lot of close friends.”
“Can I use those connections?”
“Huh?”
He looked bewildered at my sudden question. I smiled, clarifying it wasn’t a threat.
“I’m planning to appear on a broadcast to raise Eve’s visibility. I lack contacts in this field. Even if it sounds arrogant, I’m a pretty good bait, aren’t I?”
“Honestly, Lord Lawrence is already a respected noble among commoners. On top of that, you’re broadcast-friendly, attractive, and capable. You’d probably have many options.”
He hesitated for a moment, then decided it was a deal worth making.
If I handled it well, I could collect favors from his friends.
“Very well. I’ll play the part of manager. I’ll keep feeding you work.”
“Haha, thank you. I’ll compensate you generously.”
“No need. I believe the real gain is the connection with Lord Lawrence, not material rewards.”
It was fortunate he was a straightforward person.
But inside, I sighed. Even though I’d made the request myself, it looked like I was going to be dragged into multiple broadcasts.
I was being led according to Eve’s “Saint Candidate” camp’s brain, Eric.
“Ready!”
Felix’s speech pattern switched between formal, casual, and semi-formal depending on his mood.
He was now perfectly groomed, hair styled immaculately.
“Fortunately, extra Force Armor was available?”
“Do you have anything else to say?”
His nerves were on edge as he glared at the judge again. The judge shot me a questioning look.
I gave the okay sign.
The judge had no choice but to start the countdown.
“This time there will be no surprise attack. Fight with confidence.”
“You think you can hold back against me? I’ll make you regret it.”
I kept receiving the debuff the entire time because I hadn’t equipped the Vanguard armor, unlike Felix.
Viewers of the Anne & Sammy 10th Anniversary Special would probably think the same thing.
In reality, a knight was no match for a mage.
I kept my composure and twirled the magic staff while loosening my body.
The motion looked more like a sword master than a mage.

The final duel began.
* * *
“Eh? Countess Elfrid?”
“Ah? Duke Riberdale?”
The intelligence chief of the Brigham Empire, Elfrid, looked baffled to find Olivia Riberdale, the Duchess, in a place she had no business being.
The problem was her opponent’s face was just as stunned.
About a month ago, during Adrian’s lordship survey, the two had met again over the common topic of Adrian.
The location was the famous duel island of Jordie Kingdom.
Today, while Adrian was filming, they crossed paths in the VIP room of the duel arena where the Aura Master bout was about to start.
Duke Riberdale was with his colleague Preston, while Countess Elfrid had her disciple, Baron Joseph, by her side.
The two women looked at each other with mutual disdain, and the men around them had to tilt their heads.
“You’re busy with the war these days, aren’t you?”
“Our empire’s strength means nothing to the Prius Republic. This side is no different from usual.”
“I wonder why you keep showing interest in our priest.”
“Just because I’m a fellow mage, I’m curious. That’s why I brought my disciple to watch his fight.”
“Is that so? Hmm.”
The two women sparked with electricity, while the two lower-ranked men beside them stayed completely silent.
Besides the women, the VIP room was packed with nobles and mages of Jordie Kingdom.
A direct clash between a grand mage and an Aura Master was entertainment you couldn’t get anywhere else.
“Master, it seems the fight is about to begin.”
Baron Joseph slipped between the two women who eyed each other hatefully.
Duke Riberdale and Countess Elfrid quickly took their seats.
It was almost amusing that their seats were placed right next to each other.
“Oho…”
“Felix. You idiot.”
Everyone except Duke Riberdale and Countess Elfrid’s group thought the outcome was obvious.
But the moment the first round started, gasps and cheers erupted from all sides.
I had assumed that if spatial magic was available, I would definitely win.
But I hadn’t expected such total domination.
Duke Riberdale covered her forehead with her palm.
I was rooting for the priest, but I didn’t want Felix, a fellow kingdom member, to get broken so easily.
“The opponent underestimated the mage too much.”
“Maybe the next round will be different. Felix won’t get careless, and Lawrence priest won’t be able to use spatial magic.”
But the second round was even more intense than the first.
**Kwaaaang!**
**Drrrrr!**
“Aaaah!”
“Kyah!”
The VIP room far from the arena shook violently as if about to collapse.
But Duke Riberdale, who knew the facility wouldn’t break so easily, could only sigh at Felix’s foolish face amid the explosion.
“Were you expecting evasion move in your head beforehand?”
Charging head-on against an opponent holding a 7-circle spell in reserve with Memory was the worst choice.
“Honestly, judging from afar is easy. In real combat, you can’t move as smoothly as you think. Felix’s charge was too simple, but Lawrence priest’s strike, aiming for the perfect distance and timing, was flawless.”
“But…”
“This fight will give him a huge opportunity. At least he won’t die stupidly on the battlefield.”
Countess Elfrid’s mocking and defensive words made Duke Riberdale click her tongue.
But Preston and Baron Joseph, who had joined the group, were too captivated by my glamorous performance to notice.
The moment round three started, the intense battle turned everyone’s admiration into outright shock.
“What kind of magic is that?”
“Is it even possible?”
“There’s someone capable of that.”
It was because I was trading blows in close combat against an Aura Master-level Vanguard.
Duke Riberdale and Countess Elfrid smiled with upturned lips, wanting to see more.
‘Mages’ perceptions are already changing.’
