Grinding Level 4 Quest Rewards
Let's organize the physical rewards obtained from clearing the Arsia quest.
The first stage clear reward was only money and the magic circle, with no other physical items.
The second stage clear reward came with a 20 cubic meter spatial pocket dimension, but that is difficult to consider as physical loot.
- Stage 3 clear reward
Starting from stage 3, the quality of rewards rises sharply.
This is because three bottles of the extra life potion called Elixir were given, something you can't buy with money even in the real world.
However, one bottle had been used a few times during the war, so it's not a full three bottles.
More accurately, it's around 2.9 bottles.
- Stage 4 clear reward
Why drag this out?
The stage 4 reward is the monocle that pierces the truth, the Mankyung.
I consider it the greatest gift obtained through the game, alongside Arsia, who always stays by my side.
- Stage 5 clear reward
Thirteen pieces of top-tier Force equipment named Istro Gear were given.
Items like the Istro Magic Staff and Istro Robe.
Istro Gear looks like ordinary Force weapons, but when charged with Aura, even normal people can use Force.
Chargeable Force equipment could cause controversy, so I have refrained from handing it to anyone except Arsia.
Currently, two pieces (staff and robe) are in my use, and four pieces (armor, shield, arming sword, short sword) are being used by Arsia.
It is truly amusing that even mage equipment has Force functions.
The remaining seven pieces, including sabers, rapiers, bastard swords, claymores, spears, longswords, and halberds, are still waiting in the spatial pocket.
It is a pity to leave these rare items to rot, but it can't be helped.
If I gave them to anyone and they leaked out, a pack of wolves would come from everywhere.
- Stage 6 clear reward
The stage 6 reward is the Black Eagle that became the crest of the newly established Lawrence Duchy.
The Black Eagle is a dragon-kin chimera with the flight ability of sonic speed and a body that is hard to destroy even with Aura Blades.
Using the shared vision skill, I can receive monitoring information, and with the magic sharing skill, I can shoot magic from a distant Black Eagle's position.
It has excellent abilities for surveillance and surprise attacks.
However, since the Black Eagle is one of my precious companions alongside Arsia, it might be better to exclude it from the physical reward count.
- Stage 7 clear reward
A Sky Fortress named Ikarrus was given as a reward.
Since the quests I cleared in Chronicle Online only went up to stage 7, this is my last reward.
I had expected something like Vanguard Force equipment, but it was a very perplexing gift when actually received.
That's because every nation in the world strictly manages Sky Fortresses.
The characteristics and specs of all Sky Fortresses worldwide are public secrets, so I couldn't casually reveal an unofficial one.
Moreover, Ikarrus looks completely different from ordinary Sky Fortresses.
Ordinary Sky Fortresses resemble simple flying saucers, while Ikarrus has the shape of a Earth-style fighter jet.
It is an extremely huge and flashy combat aircraft, nearly 600 meters long.
The reason Sky Fortresses have a simple UFO-like appearance is to achieve the most ideal defense efficiency.
But Ikarrus has a clear reason for its shape.
It is a surprise-attack weapon with acceleration up to Mach 3.
Surprise attack.
It is not an impossible word for a heavy Sky Fortress.
What made Ikarrus possible was that, in addition to high-speed maneuvers, it came with three innovative additional functions.
1. Independent teleportation
Teleporting a heavy Sky Fortress requires a lot of time and cost.
But the teleportation built into Ikarrus can be used repeatedly as long as the cooldown is over, like a normal artifact.
With no distance restrictions and combined with high-speed maneuvers, I can participate in battles anywhere at any time.
2. Spatial pocket storage
The second function is amazing.
It can put tens of thousands of tons of Sky Fortress into a spatial pocket and take it out.
This means it can penetrate even places with spatial movement blocking magic.
If every Sky Fortress in the world had this function, rulers would not be able to sleep well.
Because they would never know when and where a Sky Fortress might suddenly appear and turn their palace into rubble.
Just thinking about it is terrifying.
3. Unmanned combat
The last function is unmanned combat.
Thanks to the ability to charge with Aura and release Force like Istro Gear, it can operate and fire for a certain time without any passengers.
So there is no need to gather a crew.
It is truly a trump card weapon.
However, if Ikarrus is discovered, it would advertise that I am the Chronicle Online player of the Duke Lucas, so I still need time before using it openly.
[Elixir 2.9 bottles, Mankyung, Istro Gear 13 items, Sky Fortress Ikarrus]
The four major physical rewards I own, excluding the Black Eagle, can be summarized as these.
Each one is a treasure that is difficult to value.
Since two more clear rewards remain, I am looking forward to what will pop out next.
Next, among the treasures obtained from subjugating the four noble families, the items that were not sold.
Even if they are not great nobles, a noble who rules a city, monopolizes regional businesses, and has accumulated wealth for a long time is far more powerful and wealthy than any chaebol in South Korea.
Of course, the property seized from them could not be ignored.
Just the cash conversion was 42 trillion, and besides that, a significant amount of physical items remained unsold.
At first, I stored the strategic resources, mithril and mana stones, as they are.
Mithril and mana stones are core materials needed to later create Vanguard equipment or Sky Fortresses, so there is no harm in storing them.
The amount of mithril and mana stones seized from the four families was worth about 10 trillion rupees.
Besides that, just the gems, precious metals, artworks, and similar items that were set aside separately are in the hundreds of trillions.
Just the calculated assets so far reach 60 trillion, which is quite rich, isn't it?
It seems there is no easier way to make money than looting a weak territory.
Of course, this kind of thing cannot continue forever.
Excessive territorial wars are not even permitted by the royal family and may even lead to sanctions.
In the end, there is always an upper limit to everything.
With this territorial war, I obtained a lot of things, but among them, what stands out the most is this, isn't it?
[????? / Relic]
- The search function reflects and does not allow detailed information to be checked.
- No information in the online or Lucas Library.
- After analyzing the era, it is estimated to be a product from the mythical era 20,000 years ago.
- It has been confirmed to have a function that absorbs magical power or holy power, so it is worth trying an experiment by inputting energy for a detailed investigation.
A relic that even the Mankyung proposed by the Duke Lucas could not analyze.
But I followed the method proposed by the Mankyung and found that the experiment result was a completely unexpected item.
[Handle of a sword of the Celestials? / Sacred Artifact]
- It is estimated to be the handle part of a sword used by the celestial race in the mythical era.
- When magical power or holy power is input, it is believed to condense, strengthen, and release energy, similar to how Aura Blades were enhanced with Force.
- The internal holy magic circuit is partially destroyed and does not function at present.
- If a high-level technician at the holy land Everhill repairs it, it may be possible.
- Material: Orichalcum (350g), Holy Blood Stone (32g)
It is something that looks quite extraordinary just by looking at it.
But it doesn't matter what this item means.
It was a treasure with tremendous value just by its material alone.
Orichalcum is one of the rarest metals, with only 500 grams produced annually at the holy land Everhill.
It is widely used as crown material for empires or powerful kingdoms and is a price-no-object item.
Having 350 grams of orichalcum alone in this item makes its value comparable to a Sky Fortress.
I finally understood why I had carefully placed this unknown relic in the safe.
I could sell it and make a lot of money, but the fact that it seemed repairable sparked my curiosity.
Anyway, I had been thinking of visiting the holy land sometime, so I would look into it then.
[Mithril and Mana Stones (estimated value: 10 trillion), Gems and Precious Metals, Artworks (estimated value: 7 trillion), Sacred Artifact (estimated value: 10 to 20 trillion?)]
Even excluding cash, the physical rewards are this much.
The four noble families truly became a tree that gives freely.
The people who suffered will be upset, but since I left each family a lifetime of money to live idly under the commoner standard after losing their titles and territories overnight, I feel I have at least fulfilled my duty.
With this, the situation check is complete.
Although the conclusion is simple compared to the grand explanation, from now on I will obtain even more than this.
The assets and power I currently hold are nothing more than an intermediate milestone.
***
"That bastard's face is unlucky, isn't it?"
"Yeah."
In Chronicle Online, I and Arsia discovered a vampire girl who strangely resembled the second prince and brutally trampled on her.
Our actions were even more ruthless than ever, and the data-created vampire suffered greatly before her death.
"We shouldn't leave this place unattended.
I have been too attached to reality lately."
I've been too busy lately.
My game connection time was less than 3 hours a day, so my level is only 205 now.
But from now on, I plan to spend most of my day here.
Shouldn't I achieve the 8th circle as quickly as possible?
I, Arsia, and the Black Eagle had a lively fight with the vampire girl resembling the second prince while earning experience points.
How long had I been immersed in battle?
"Adrian-nim."
Arsia, who every time I see her face sparkles with the word "marriage" proposed by the crown prince, called me.
I showed my understanding by asking what was going on, and she brought news that was unexpected.
"I have discovered a talent with the highest level of talent."
If someone who doesn't know us saw us happily hunting monsters and then heard this, they would wonder what she was talking about.
But I exclaimed in admiration at her news and enthusiastically responded.
"Oh! Really? Then hire him right away."
"Yes, understood.
I will leave negotiations to the attendants who came with me."
The Talented Talent Agency is an institution that discovers and hires people with high talent through the Mankyung, providing education tailored to each person.
Of course, it is not a simple academy, but a place to raise people who will work for my family.
Thanks to this, even commoners receive treatment and money that they could never dream of.
So far, nearly 20 people have entered the agency, but lately I have been too busy to invest time in talent recruitment.
Since I have to check talent with the Mankyung for recruitment, I haven't thought of leaving it to anyone.
Then I thought of one method.
'Arsia, while playing the game, you also snack outside, right?
Can you do activities at the same time?
Playing the game and working outside.'
'As long as it's not complicated work, it's possible.'
The method was to put the Mankyung on the Arsia in the real world while playing the game to find talent.
Simply using the Mankyung to check people didn't seem harder than drinking tea and eating snacks, so it was fine.
And the result came.
Arsia found a talent with the highest level of talent.
"What kind of talent is the highest?"
In response to my question, she said,
"Holy power."
Holy power?
It is unusual, but there is no rule that it can't come out.
In this world, many different powers exist, and holy power is one of the main abilities that support the world along with magical power and Aura.
"Is there no separate property?"
"Yes, it has the quality of a saint."
"Oh, interesting.
A saint... wait, what did you say?"
"The quality of a saint."
But I, who heard an unexpected property, blinked my eyes like a fool.
Is the saint the one I know?
"Why a saint?"
