Midterms Over. The School Festival Begins. (2)
After fifteen minutes had finally passed and Yuna had calmed down, Jihyeok made sure she got inside her house safely before heading back to his own home.
"Huh? Is no one here?"
He knew the midterms had ended in the morning, but when he stepped inside and found the house completely empty, Jihyeok quietly made his way to his room. He set his school bag and test papers on the desk, then checked the date. May 4th. It was the day before Children's Day.
Since Jina was the only actual child in the Yoon household, Jihyeok found himself pondering how to spend the next day with her. Their parents were always busy, and his older brother Jiwook was focused on marriage and becoming independent, so Jihyeok had practically raised Jina by himself. He knew exactly what she liked and what she wanted to do, so he decided to prepare one special gift for her.
"Hmm? What's this?"
When an alarm popped up on his phone, he checked it and found himself in the group chat with their homeroom teacher and classmates. The messages were all about the upcoming school festival.
It looked like everyone was deep in thought about what theme to choose for their booth. Normally, Jihyeok would have just gone along with whatever his classmates decided. But things were different now. This was the school festival he would be spending with his girlfriend Yuna, and he desperately wanted to enjoy it together with her.
Jihyeok followed Yuna into the class group chat, and the discussion about their booth began in earnest.
In truth, Jihyeok remembered every single one of Huiyeon's misdeeds. He hadn't tried to memorize them; they had simply stuck in his mind naturally.
Watching his classmates struggle with the problem, Jihyeok thought about the upcoming Children's Day and the school festival. Then something occurred to him—the gift he had received from Jiwook. It wasn't ordinary origami that everyone already knew about. It was a complete self-made project where you created the individual parts yourself and assembled them into a perfect three-dimensional structure.
Surely kids with curious minds would be drawn to something like that. Jihyeok immediately suggested it.
Jihyeok sent a photo as an example.
It seemed like everyone was on board. They decided to use desks as display stands for the works made by students and visitors, and the rest of the details were settled quickly.
It was supposed to be a festival for creating happy memories. They couldn't let any unpleasant incidents happen. Jihyeok and Yuna's class decided on the name Handmade Paper Workshop for their booth where people could fold paper and create various works themselves.
The class president began talking with the students about creating various rest areas that could be used when people got hungry or tired, fitting her role perfectly. Jihyeok used a drawing app to create layouts based on his classmates' and the president's opinions, providing visual guidance to help build the optimal workshop.
Students who had younger siblings, like Jihyeok and Yuna, were assigned to occasionally help out any little guests who ran into problems while the booth was running.
Even the students who weren't particularly interested in the activity voted anyway. In the end, twelve people would make the display pieces and sixteen would decorate the classroom, creating a fairly even split.
The class burst into laughter at the sight of Huiyeon instantly backing down with a whimper.
Once everything about the festival was settled, a text from Yuna arrived.
Han Yuna: Boyfriend~ What are you doing~?
Yoon Jihyeok: I was happily smiling while thinking about folding paper and having a date with you during the school festival. Why?
Han Yuna: Hehe. Really? You were thinking about me?
Yoon Jihyeok: I always think about you. What's up?
Han Yuna: You haven't eaten lunch yet, right?
Yoon Jihyeok: Nope?
Han Yuna: Want to come over to my house… and have some ramen?
"…."
Jihyeok stared at Yuna's blatantly seductive invitation and quickly finished preparing to head over to her house.
Yoon Jihyeok: You just wait right there.
Han Yuna: Kyaa~ My boyfriend is coming to devour me~!
Yoon Jihyeok: You were the one who seduced me first.
When Jihyeok arrived at Yuna's house, they had a simple lunch together. After that, he pounced on her with a flood of kisses. The Cross Kiss that day continued until Yuna begged for mercy.
