Visiting My Girlfriend's House... But Her Parents?!
It had been about twenty-five days since Yoon Jihyeok and Han Yuna started dating. They were quickly becoming a fresh, bright-eyed couple on the verge of hitting the one-month mark. While their physical affection was progressing at lightning speed—almost like they were racing down the tracks of a subway train—their feelings for each other were undeniably sweet and adorable. Anyone who saw them would call them a lovey-dovey pair.
They decided to spend their holiday indoors instead of going out. And not just anywhere—inside Yuna's room. With her little sister there too.
Jihyeok sat on the bed in Yuna's room, with Yuna's younger sister perched on his lap. Yuna herself clung tightly to his left arm from the side. Completely surrounded from the front and the side, Jihyeok had nowhere left to run.
"Oppa! How do you solve this part?"
"Ah... that one is..."
"I'm curious too!"
"Yuna, don't you already know this?!"
"I only know what my boyfriend tells me, so I don't know!"
"Excuse me? Your little sister is right here—could you maybe tone it down a bit?"
"Huh? I don't mind at all?"
"See? Seohui says it's fine~ Hurry up and teach us, teacherrr~"
"Oppa, tell us alreadyyy~!"
This situation had come about for a very specific reason.
"Huaaam..."
April 3rd. Sunday.
Jihyeok, enjoying a rare day off, reached for his phone the moment he opened his eyes. After checking the flood of messages, he glanced at the time—9:12 a.m.
"...I really slept in."
He had stayed up talking with Yuna until late the night before and passed out around 1 a.m. With messy bedhead and a groggy face, he headed to the bathroom to wake himself up.
"Whoa. You're up? Why's your hair such a disaster?"
"I don't know... probably because I was on the phone with my girlfriend until dawn..."
"That's what it's like when things are fresh. I was the same way."
"Yeah, I remember that all too well."
Back when Jiwook had first started dating Yoonseo, Jihyeok would sometimes hear his brother's voice on the phone late at night whenever he went to the bathroom. He used to wonder if Jiwook wasn't tired, but now that he had a girlfriend of his own, he finally understood.
Even though they lived close by and could meet anytime, they couldn't see each other late at night. So they expressed their desire to be together through these late-night calls. They would talk until one of them got sleepy, and when they heard the other's steady breathing, the one still awake would whisper goodnight. It was a classic lovey-dovey couple ritual.
"By the way, aren't you going on a date today, hyung?"
"Nah. I figured I'd hang out with Jina for once. I've been leaving her with you all the time, and I feel like we've grown a bit distant."
"True. She does come to me first whenever something comes up."
"Haha. I want to be a helpful big brother too, so leave her to me for today."
"Is Yoonseo noona still sleeping?"
"...How'd you know? I called but she didn't pick up..."
"Just how late did you two stay out last night?"
"Ah. Can't say."
"Why not?"
"You're still a minor."
"...Ah."
Jihyeok understood immediately. He replied that he got it and headed off to wash up. While brushing his teeth, he thought about how impressive it was that after so many years together, his brother and Yoonseo still loved each other so passionately. They really were consistent.
But even Jihyeok would become an adult someday. If he and Yuna stayed together until then, would they end up like Jiwook and Yoonseo? As he imagined it...
"...I want to erase that from my brain."
As a teenage boy who had recently discovered certain thoughts, substituting Yuna into that kind of fantasy made his face burn with embarrassment. If they kept loving each other and promised a future together, those kinds of acts would probably happen out of overwhelming happiness—but he was still only seventeen. He shouldn't be thinking about that yet.
He splashed cold water on his head, trying hard to wipe the thought from his mind.
"...Ugh. Damn it."
In that moment, Jihyeok hated his perfect memory more than ever. After silently reciting the national anthem three times, he finally managed to forget it. He dried his hair and returned to his room.
"Hm? What's this alarm?"
Noticing a notification on his phone, he quickly checked it.

[Homeroom Teacher: These are the current clubs. There are ones run by the school and ones run by students themselves, so choose carefully.]
[Ju Haneul: Wow. There's seriously nothing worth doing.]
[Kim Aram: When have you ever had anything worth doing lol]
[Ju Haneul: I have!]
[Han Yuna: There really aren't many options this time, huh?]
[Shin Huiyeon: Yuna! Where are you gonna go?]
[Han Yuna: Hmm... I think it'll depend on what Jihyeok chooses?]
[Lee Yujeong: Why are you even asking someone with a boyfriend lol Obviously she'll follow her boyfriend.]
[Shin Huiyeon: Yeah... that makes sense.]
The class group chat was buzzing in real time about club selections.
[Yoon Jihyeok: Are there any clubs that do outdoor activities?]
[Shin Huiyeon: Yuna, your boyfriend's here.]
[Lee Yujeong: There's a walking club. If it rains they just watch movies in the classroom, apparently.]
[Shin Huiyeon: Oh. Then I'll follow Yuna.]
[Han Yuna: Jihyeok. Want to join the walking club? We can walk around and chat—the time will fly by. What do you think?]
[Yoon Jihyeok: If you like it, sure. Let's go with the walking club.]
[Han Yuna: Yes! Let's do it!]
[Lee Yujeong: Go flirt in your private chat!]
[Yoon Jihyeok: Got it.]
Now officially known as the class's representative couple, Jihyeok switched over to his private chat with Yuna.
[Yoon Jihyeok: Hey.]
[Han Yuna: Good morning~ My boyfriend~]
[Yoon Jihyeok: Any club you want to join?]
[Han Yuna: I'll like whatever club my boyfriend picks!]
[Yoon Jihyeok: Hmm... Then should we go with the walking club? We should look into a few options just in case.]
[Han Yuna: Okay! But I think we should check them out in person?]
[Yoon Jihyeok: Then we can talk about it at school tomorrow.]
[Han Yuna: There's actually a better option...]
[Yoon Jihyeok: What is it?]
[Han Yuna: Want to come over to my house?]
"...Huh?"
Jihyeok was clearly caught off guard by the sudden invitation to Yuna's house.
[Han Yuna: Are you that surprised?]
[Yoon Jihyeok: ...It was completely unexpected.]
[Han Yuna: Was it? How cute~ My boyfriend is so adorable?]
[Yoon Jihyeok: But is it really okay? Do your parents know we're dating?]
[Han Yuna: Huh? I told them the moment we started going out, so they already know everything. No need to worry~ Besides...]
[Yoon Jihyeok: ...Yeah?]
[Han Yuna: No one's home except my little sister. And she said she's going somewhere after hagwon soon... If you come right now, we'll have the place to ourselves in about thirty minutes?]
[Yoon Jihyeok: Uh... really?]
Yuna dropped what felt like the final nail in the coffin.
[Han Yuna: ...Isn't this the perfect situation for kissing?]
[Yoon Jihyeok: ...I'm on my way. Just wait right there.]
[Han Yuna: Hehe... I'll be waiting~ Hurry up♡]
The old Jihyeok would have waved his hands in panic, asking what she was even saying. But things were different now. Ever since he started dating Yuna, he'd built up an immunity to skinship. He didn't do it every chance he got anymore, but whenever they were alone, he was usually the one who leaned in first to kiss her. A few days ago, as a special reward for all the effort she'd put into practicing, he had been the one to initiate.
After that day, stopping by a quiet spot on the way home from school for a goodbye kiss had become their unspoken routine.
Jihyeok changed his clothes, grabbed his phone, and headed straight for the front door the moment he opened his bedroom.
"Where are you going, son?"
"It's a holiday. I'm going over to a friend's house."
"Your girlfriend's house?"
"..."
Since the only friend Jihyeok had right now was the girlfriend he was dating, his parents automatically assumed any mention of "a friend's house" meant Yuna's place.
"Have fun~ Invite her over sometime. We've only seen her in photos, so I'm curious what she looks like in person."
"I'll ask her when I get there."
"Good. Don't get hurt, and don't make us grandparents just yet."
"...I'm not doing that! What are you even saying right now!"
When Jihyeok got flustered, his parents—who clearly found teasing their son hilarious—burst into laughter.
"Hahaha! We know you won't, that's why we're joking."
"Hurry along~ Your girlfriend's waiting."
"Sigh... I'll be back."
With his face flushed red from his parents' teasing, Jihyeok quickly left the house.
"Now that I think about it, they seem more excited about this than I am."
Recalling how his parents loved to playfully tease their completely clueless second son, it seemed like the news that their younger boy had a girlfriend was truly happy news for them. They had been even more delighted when they found out about Jihyeok's girlfriend than when they learned about Jiwook's. Wanting to see more of that joyful expression on his parents' faces, Jihyeok resolved to work even harder on building a good relationship with Yuna.
Since Yuna lived right next door, he entered the building and knocked on her door immediately.
Knock knock.
"Yeees~"
Yuna's clear, bright voice rang in his ears.
"This is your boyfriend, Yuna. I've come at your summons."
This kind of silly roleplay was one of their usual jokes, so Yuna opened the door with a smile.
"Welcome~ My boyfriend♡"
It was the casual, everyday Yuna that was hard to see at school or on dates. She was wearing a pink t-shirt that matched her eye color and comfortable short shorts. It looked like she'd already finished her makeup before inviting him over.
Looking at the beautifully dressed-up Yuna, Jihyeok said,
"Took me almost three minutes. Not quite a new record, though."
"Can you come a little faster next time?"
"If possible, I'll make it in one minute."
"Hehe. Just don't hurt yourself getting here~ Here!"
Yuna gently closed her eyes and puckered her lips. Jihyeok leaned in and kissed her softly.
Chu.
"Hehe. Come on in~"
"Pardon the intrusion."
Since they lived in the same apartment complex, the layout was similar to his own place. Even though it was his first time visiting, he could roughly guess where everything was.
"The layout really is similar to my house. Must be because it's the same complex."
"Really? Then I won't have to worry when I come over to your place later, right?"
"Yeah. Oh, while we're on the subject..."
"Yes! What is it?"
He told her that his parents wanted to meet her. Yuna's expression suddenly stiffened. After a moment, she spoke.
"...I'm still too nervous. I don't think I can yet... I'm sure your parents are wonderful people, but... ugh. I'm so nervous I might mess up."
Her whole body was trembling as if to show just how anxious she felt. She looked like she might collapse at any second. Jihyeok gently pulled her into a hug and patted her back to help her relax.
"I understand. We have plenty of time, so just tell me when you're ready. My family is prepared whenever you are, so don't worry."
"Okay... Thank you, boyfriend!"
So grateful for how considerate he was being, Yuna suddenly kissed him while still wrapped in his arms.
Chu.
"Hehe. How was that?"
"...Didn't you say your little sister was home?"
"Yeah~ She said she was going out somewhere."
"...Really? Doesn't the door lock make a sound when you enter the passcode?"
"Of course it does. Why?"
Jihyeok glanced at the front door, then looked at Yuna as if he'd made up his mind.
"We haven't done our daily quota yet."
"Ah... I thought I was the one addicted, but it looks like you want it even more than I do now?"
"So. Do you hate it?"
Yuna wrapped her arms around his neck and answered,
"No? I love it, actually♡"
"That's what I thought."
When Jihyeok pressed his lips to hers, Yuna eagerly returned the kiss, savoring every moment. Their kiss continued for nearly five minutes, lasting until her little sister came home.
