Phase 3. Mother Gyeong-ae (8)
“Hwaaaaah~.”
“You up?”
When I stepped into the room, Hui-gyeong was stretching her arms high overhead. As she arched her back as far as it would go, my wife’s full breasts thrust forward as well.
“Oppa, what about breakfast?”
“I already ate with Mom.”
“Why didn’t you wake me?”
She pouted, clearly annoyed about something. Geez. There was never anything she just let slide. Before I knew it, irritation was quietly building up inside me too. After what Mom had told me, I couldn’t look at her with the same pure affection as before.
“You were sleeping so soundly.”
“I’m eating with you every single time from now on. So wake me up.”
“Got it.”
I answered shortly and started straightening the bedding that still carried the traces of last night’s sex. Hui-gyeong’s fluids had already dried, but the cum I had pumped into her remained as cloudy, yellowish stains.
When I simply focused on my task without another word, Hui-gyeong just watched me move in silence.
“You fully awake? Want me to make you something?”
“Nah, I’m fine.”
“Alright.”
“…….”
“…….”
“Should I do the laundry for the blankets?”
Apparently the quiet was getting to her; she quickly reached for the bedding. I blocked her approach with my back and gently chided her.
“It’s fine. More importantly, how’s your throat?”
“My throat? Why?”
“You were screaming your head off last night.”
“Euh…!”
Remembering those massive moans, Hui-gyeong flushed pink and pinched my side. After I threw out a few perverted remarks, she seemed to decide things weren’t any different from usual and started treating me more comfortably again.
“Who was it that got so turned on by my moans he started pounding harder?”
“And whose cock made those moans spill out?”
“Heehee.”
Thump.
Hui-gyeong launched herself at me, and I lost my grip on the blanket. We tumbled onto it and, without either of us making the first move, we were already kissing. As I savored her soft tongue and the inside of her mouth, the irritation that had briefly risen melted away like snow.
“Oppa, want to go for a round like this?”
“Mom can hear us.”
“Hmph. Let her listen if she wants. She probably heard us yesterday anyway.”
“If that’s true, it’s a real problem.”
I’d already confirmed that morning how paper-thin the soundproofing was here, so I was worried. Watching Hui-gyeong get cocky again the moment Mom came up, I was certain something had happened between the two of them. Even if it was just a petty fight, as the head of the household I had a duty to smooth things over. How exactly I was supposed to do that was another question.
“Oppa, I’ve been thinking carefully…”
“Yeah?”
“All my clothes are just short and slutty.”
“…Well, yeah, they are.”
Hui-gyeong shot me a look, but it was true, so I didn’t bother arguing further.
“Still, I’m going to live as a married couple with you, so I feel like I should change how I present myself.”
“You?!”
“Huh… what the hell is that tone supposed to mean?!”
“What do you think it means? When I asked you to wear a plain white tee and jeans, you showed up in a see-through white top and a black bra.”
“…Ha! Fine, whatever. I’m not talking.”
Women truly were mysterious, incomprehensible creatures. She brought it up herself, I agreed it was true, and somehow she was the one getting mad. Had I not empathized enough? Not answered properly? Either way, I had to soothe Hui-gyeong’s sulky mood.
“Hui-gyeong~.”
“…….”
“It’s true you look insanely cute when you dress like that outside, but as your husband it makes me anxious, that’s all~.”
“Hmph…”
Good. She was responding. They say praise can make even a bear dance, so I should keep going. …Fuck, even bears get praise—why am I the one stuck here?
“Your husband is super excited that our Hui-gyeong has declared she’s going to change her image. Won’t you tell me more?”
“No.”
At this point there was only one method left.
Grab!
I seized both her cheeks and pressed my lips toward hers.
“What the hell are you doing?”
With her cheeks squished, Hui-gyeong could only move her protruding lips as she warned me.
“Don’t.”
Don’t chicken out, Jo Gyeong-hun. Earlier when she kissed me I calmed down too. The best ways to make peace are sex and kissing.
“Wuuung~.”
I deliberately puffed my lips out like a sausage and pushed them forward.
“Don’t… ah fuck, seriously!”
Thwack!
“Keuk!”
What came back was Hui-gyeong’s full-force headbutt. This crazy bitch—I was trying to soothe her and she rammed her skull into me. Clutching my forehead and collapsing, I was immediately bombarded by a flurry of her kicks.
“I said! Don’t! Do it! Can you! Read the room! For once!”
She wasn’t putting real power behind them so it didn’t hurt, but fury still boiled up inside me. We could never take this posture with each other. In our family, you never lay someone down and stomp on them with your feet. Overwhelmed by an indescribable sense of wrongness, I caught her ankle, held it still, and quietly stood up. Hui-gyeong glared at me, huffing, but I just picked up the blanket I’d dropped on the floor again.
“Sorry for teasing you.”
“If I tell you not to, then don’t.”
“Got it.”
And don’t you ever do what you just did again either. I deliberately swallowed the words so we wouldn’t fight more. I had provoked her, and all I’d be doing was driving a wedge into an already worked-up girl. I was so pissed I almost just walked out, then thought, what the hell am I even doing. I should be the one who endures more—I’m the older brother and the man.
I dropped the blanket with a thud and, as a gesture of reconciliation, suddenly pulled Hui-gyeong into a hug.
Thud!
“Keheuk!”
“I told you not to!”
But Hui-gyeong must have thought I was messing around again, because she drove her knee straight into my groin. Completely unprepared for the violence, I dropped to my knees. How do you even describe this kind of pain properly? Weirdly enough, right after the impact the pain exceeds an ordinary man’s tolerance so thoroughly that you barely feel it. The terrifying part is that, like echoes in a cave, it comes back sharper and more finely detailed with every second. And before one echo can even fade, a new one starts ringing. And those echoes are my balls. The endless waves radiating from my balls.
“Nnngh…”
Kneeling before that overwhelming testicular agony, I couldn’t even groan properly; I just pressed myself flat to the floor like a four-legged animal and waited for the pain to pass. It wasn’t that I was enduring it well—I was simply frozen solid from the pain.
“Hey, what’s wrong with you?”
Sensing something was off, Hui-gyeong approached, but I desperately raised a hand to stop her. If you touch me wrong right now I might actually die, Hui-gyeong. Plus this whole setup—me getting beaten by you until my eyes swell shut—is exactly like before we started dating. …Even after we started going out we’re still exactly the same as before.
“Oppa, are you oka—”
Bang—!
I thought the door had shattered. From the sound of it slamming into the wall, I must not have closed it properly when I came in. With a creak the bedroom door swung wide open, and Mom stood outside. Her jaw muscles stood out from how hard she was clenching her teeth; she was furious. Under that razor-sharp glare, Hui-gyeong, who had been about to come to me, froze in a half-crouch.
“Jo Hui-gyeong. Get out here.”
“Uh, Mom.”
“I said get out—!”
It was the first time. Mom had never roared with this kind of rage before. Even at twenty-two, Hui-gyeong was terrified by her mother’s fury and shook her head, fighting back tears.
“Fine. Then Gyeong-hun, you go out.”
But I could barely maintain my posture as it was. After checking my condition, Mom let out a long sigh and strode over to Hui-gyeong herself. Hui-gyeong tried to back away, but Mom immediately seized her by the collar.
“Uh, Mom—!”
“Out!”
“Oppa, oppa! Stop Mom. O…”
Completely terrified, Hui-gyeong called for her older brother, but the moment she saw me still dripping cold sweat she forgot the rest of the sentence. This is bad—the pain is still pulsing so gently… It might sound like a perverted description, but any man would know how dangerous this state is. In the end, Hui-gyeong was dragged away limply by Mom.
Gyeong-ae dragged Hui-gyeong all the way to the kitchen—the place farthest from Gyeong-hun’s room.
“Ugh!”
No matter how hard she tried to dig in and resist, Hui-gyeong was helplessly hauled along by some source of strength she couldn’t match, and only when they reached the kitchen table was she finally released.
“What’s your problem!”
The second Gyeong-ae’s hand left her collar, Hui-gyeong snapped right back at her. All worry for Gyeong-hun, who was still frozen on the floor, had vanished; she was only angry about her own treatment. The two women of similar height glared at each other. But Hui-gyeong, who had already lost to Gyeong-ae several times, was never good at staring contests to begin with. Her upbringing under their father had left her weak to coercion, and the sheer fear of seeing her mother this enraged for the first time was impossible to ignore. Even while dropping her gaze, Hui-gyeong clenched her molars tight. Still, this time she at least had enough sense to protest in a tiny whisper.
“This is between oppa and me.”
“From where I’m standing, it looks like you were the one who messed up a lot more in whatever’s between you and Gyeong-hun.”
“Why is Mom spying on someone else’s honeymoon room?”
Twitch.
At the word “honeymoon room,” Gyeong-ae’s expression turned savage. Watching it, Hui-gyeong tasted a tiny, pointless sense of victory and smirked.
“Ha?”
Faced with her stupid daughter’s provocation, Gyeong-ae’s face went blank the same way Gyeong-hun’s had the day before. She simply could not let this slide. But she also could not beat her the way their father used to. All she had left were a few venomous words. And because venom was all she had, Gyeong-ae honed those words until they were razor-sharp. In this moment she was not speaking to her daughter; she was forging a weapon meant to gut and carve open the insides of this rotten little bitch.
“So our Hui-gyeong doesn’t even realize what she just did?”
“I know. Hitting oppa’s thing was way too much, so I’ll go apologize right n—”
“You laid him down and stepped on him with your feet?”
“That’s because oppa suddenly—!”
“Just like your father.”
Hui-gyeong’s eyes slowly widened. Her full lips parted further and further. But from that open mouth she could not force out a single word. Gyeong-ae did not wait for her to speak; she simply kept firing.
“We never do that to each other.”
“We who have been trampled by your father…!”
“And especially never to Gyeong-hun!”
“Do you even remember what he went through trying to protect us?”
“Especially for you—he took that knife to the side from your father…!”
Hui-gyeong felt wronged. She had been trying to talk things out properly with her oppa after he came into the room. But he had said something that didn’t take her feelings into account and then tried to paper it over with a casual hug and a kiss. He hadn’t even tried to understand how hurt his beloved wife was; he just wanted to bury it his own way. Of course Hui-gyeong knew. She knew that what she did afterward crossed the line so far it made his earlier mistake look small. She knew she was in the wrong, yet the tiny, sharp thorn of resentment about how the whole thing started still kept jabbing at her heart.
“You don’t look the least bit sorry.”
“I know I messed up, but oppa also—”
“No no no no no… no!”
Utterly flabbergasted by the sheer shamelessness, Gyeong-ae thrust a finger right in front of Hui-gyeong’s face and cut her off. Her fingertip trembled with rage as she ground out every syllable like a warning.
“I clearly…! told you to stay sharp. That there is no man as good as Gyeong-hun. That you better treat him right.”
“I’m trying my best too!”
“That?”
A short, bitter laugh escaped. Watching her oversized little girl still unable to drop her stubbornness, desperately scraping together any argument just because she hated hearing the truth—it was starting to look pitiful. But Gyeong-ae herself had gone so long without ever being loved, and except for Gyeong-hun had never really known how to have a proper conversation, so she never realized her own attitude was also pressing on Hui-gyeong’s reverse scale. Nor did she know what kind of result that reverse scale would bring.
Enraged, the daughter followed the thing she must never do with the words she must never say.
“Oppa is a good man, sure, but that doesn’t mean he’s the best, okay?”
“You…”
Seeing Gyeong-ae freeze, Hui-gyeong was certain she had finally won the argument. That certainty did not last long. From the entrance to the kitchen came the sound of someone swallowing hard. The moment both Hui-gyeong and Gyeong-ae turned their heads to check, Hui-gyeong’s face in particular went deathly white.
It was Gyeong-hun.
Looking at Hui-gyeong with an expression more desolate and heartbroken than ever before, he said,
“I… I’m gonna go work out for a bit. We’re all pretty heated right now, so let’s cool off… cool off and then talk again.”
And like he was fleeing, he left the house.
A chill so sharp it made every hair on her body stand on end swept through her first. Then a heavy, muffled pressure, like being submerged underwater, crushed Hui-gyeong’s entire body. Gyeong-ae said nothing more either. There was nothing left to say to a woman who was destroying the relationship with her own hands. Left alone in the kitchen after Gyeong-ae also walked out, Hui-gyeong slid down the wall as if melting and sat on the floor. A fresh cloud of resentment—blaming Mom again—rose up, but Hui-gyeong knew full well that was just an excuse.
“Ha… what do I do now…”
Clutching her chest at the irreversible mistake, Hui-gyeong could only regret.
