#46. Confession
#46. Confession
Alone at home, I thought about Na-eun while sorting out the pile of dishes that had grown a lot after a long time.
Thinking about it, my conclusion was that I'd received more from Na-eun than what I'd suffered.
Sure, I'd been blackmailed and treated like a Mosol nerd loser, but in the end, she'd taken care of my adult stuff, cleaned the house, and even cooked meals.
And above all, she hadn't reported me to the police.
Of course, if I nitpicked the details, it might've been me playing right into her design, but if Na-eun had really set her mind to sending me to hell, I'd be eating prison rice by now.
But no matter how much she hoped to stay at our house longer, there was a reason I just couldn't let her.
The Manuscript Deadline.
There was no way I could write a novel named after Na-eun with her awake right next to me.
It was embarrassing, I had no idea what she'd say, and above all, I'd come crashing down with reality hitting too hard—it was impossible.
Even so, I felt it was right to express my gratitude to Na-eun...
The tricky part was how to go about it.
Option 1. Just thank her in a really normal, standard way.
Sure, I'd never had the situation or chance with a girl, but I was the type who took good care of my close friends.
If something good happened, I'd buy them food, give gifts.
Doing the same for Na-eun was my first idea.
Option 2. Act like a fucking asshole and spew nothing but ridiculous sexual harassment.
If you asked if that's what a grateful person would do, I'd say no, but the other person was Han Na-eun.
She was the one who'd barged into my house dressed as Yoo Soyeon just to get fucked by me.
She might actually enjoy this Lee Jin-seong-style abuse...?
Of course, no guarantees.
I didn't even know where her line was, and if I fucked it up, I could end up with a police report right away.
But like the saying that the best gift is what the other person wants, I had no choice but to agonize.
"Hmm..."
While I was sitting blankly on the bed agonizing, my phone vibrated.
[Han Na-eun]
One text from Na-eun's name, and the attached photo...
Had she dumped a 1.5L PET bottle all over the bed or something?
A massive stain like a continent loomed on Na-eun's white bedspread.
Han Na-eun...
...Even though she'd clearly backed off earlier, my dick stiffened right up again.
Urban Planning.
The class that served up hell every Thursday morning.
But today, I had no choice but to pay proper attention.
Because the time of the final battle was finally approaching us.
After forming groups, the Professor-nim had given us a total of 3 weeks until the final presentation.
And we'd blown through 2 weeks half-assing it.
Yeah... it meant the time for us to settle our Karma had finally arrived.
"Okay. Since today's the last one, have a good meeting and prepare to wrap up."
Like always, the Professor-nim gave us 1 hour of lecture and 1 hour for group prep time.
This combo felt kinda familiar after about 3 weeks.
Me. Lee Hwi-min. Han Na-eun. Kim Si-eun.
"...We gotta do this for real now."
Since everyone was sitting there with dazed looks, I took the initiative.
"Yeah..."
Had Na-eun gone to bed late last night? She responded to me with a hazy look in her eyes.
"We keeping the same topic?"
Si-eun looked at Hwi-min and asked.
Oh. My captain.
The one among us who still had some passion left for architecture.
Lee Hwi-min.
Answer our call.
"Haa..."
Instead of answering, Hwi-min let out a deep sigh.
"So, what does everyone think about the topic we talked about last week? Cool with it?"
"I'm good."
As long as our captain took the wheel, I was fine going anywhere.
"Doesn't matter to me."
Na-eun shrugged and replied.
Probably because she was a confirmed Tal-geon like me.
You could practically feel the apathy dripping from her expression.
"Then Si-eun?"
"Me..."
Unlike us, Kim Si-eun seemed to have something to say.
"Speak freely."
"Honestly, instead of general urban landscaping, focusing on one specific area might be a bit better..."
Of course, Si-eun had every right to voice her opinion.
"Yeah...?"
A somewhat lukewarm response from Hwi-min.
"So, Si-eun, have you thought of a more detailed area or theme?"
"Yes...! I looked some stuff up..."
Suddenly, Hwi-min and Si-eun dove headfirst into architecture talk.
Honestly, I wasn't that interested, and since I'd skipped class, I couldn't follow anyway.
Feeling a bit bored during this time, I casually shifted my gaze to Na-eun next to me.
Na-eun was doodling on some printouts, and the character she was drawing looked like...
It was like cute hand-drawn emoticons of the characters from my novel.
With them discussing so intently next to me, I couldn't bring up my novel, so I just stared at Na-eun fiddling away.
She'd clearly drawn a character presumed to be Yoo Soyeon, adding cute phrases in tiny speech bubbles like [Soyeon can do it too!].
Should I actually make this for real?
Seems pretty good?
Wonder if she got a commission for something like this.
I thought she only did fancy high-quality illustrations, not this type.
"Hey. Lee Min-ho. What about you."
Noticing I wasn't paying attention, Hwi-min asked for my opinion.
"Me? Uh... picking a specific area doesn't sound bad...?"
"Yeah? Then since you two were on data collection today, put in some effort."
Wait...? What...?
Design tomorrow...?
"Hey, hey. Hwi-min. Does it have to be today? You know we've got design tomorrow too."
"But Si-eun just said she's got full-time part-time on weekends. If we start next week, quality's gonna drop, and with Tuesday design prep, starting today makes sense, right?"
I looked at Si-eun, and she gave an awkward smile with a sorry expression.
"Part-time... should I skip it...?"
...Fuck.
"No, no. Let's just do it today. It's not hard, we'll knock it out quick and prep for design. Whatever."
I wasn't that pressed for time, and telling her to skip work felt too pushy.
"Alright. You two gather as much data as you can today and send it to me. I'll check the Presentation and direction, then sort it so Na-eun can make stuff over the weekend."
"Got it."
We spent the rest of the time hashing out what to focus on for data collection, and the hour melted away like snow.
When the Professor-nim said we were done, students started packing up and leaving one by one.
"Alright, Minho. Si-eun. You two handle it well and send it over. I'm heading out first."
Hwi-min packed his bag in a rush like he had something going on, and Na-eun shot me a displeased look.
"Si-eun. No class after this, right?"
"Yeah. None."
"Then let's go. You got your notebook?"
"It's in the Design Room, I'll grab it!"
"Okay. I'll be at the basement cafe, meet me there."
"Yup!"
She skipped out of the classroom first with a kinda cute voice.
Na-eun narrowed her eyes and looked at me.
"...Having fun?"
...What's her problem now.
"With what."
"Going to a cafe with Si-eun-unnie."
"I'm dying from being busy, and now this on top—fucking pissed, what're you talking about. Seriously."
Her tone was like catching a cheating husband.
"Don't do anything stupid."
Na-eun slipped her hand under the desk and gripped my precious one tight.
I couldn't scream in case someone saw, mouthing at her like a muted TV screen.
[Are you insane? You?]
But her response was, as expected, beyond anything I imagined.
"Have I seemed sane to you this whole time, Oppa?"
...You seemed like a crazy bitch.
When I stared at her with a dumbfounded expression, no reply, Na-eun flashed me a grin.
"Oppa."
Still stroking over my pants with her hand, she whispered in my ear.
"I love that you're an insane fucking pervert bastard."
The moment she covered my ear with her hand and finished speaking, her tongue flicked out and licked my earlobe.
The warm breath in my ear and the soft touch of her tongue.
There were still some students left...!
What if someone sees...!
Na-eun pulled her hand away, packed her pens, grabbed her bag, and stood up.
"I'll text you later, Oppa."
She got up like nothing happened.
I just stared blankly at her retreating back.
But thinking about it... just now... did I...?
Get confessed to...?
It felt kinda weird, but the content was like a confession...
...It took me so long to calm my erection and stand up that I arrived at the cafe later than Si-eun.
