Conclusion: It's Guaranteed!!!
So, the conclusion? This one's guaranteed to drop!!! The current trend in the otaku gaming industry is obviously character-collection gacha games. The kind where you might blow tens of thousands of won just pulling for one character. Some people whine that it's too expensive compared to package games. Hell, I've had viewers spamming that in my chat too. Every time, I'd hit back: "So do those package games keep adding new content? Don't they get flamed to hell if they don't? And did they even give you the option to play for free in the first place?" I'd tell them to quit stirring shit just because the endgame's different. Back then, I was kinda harsh because I hated those contrarian trolls, but even now, I don't think I was wrong.
Personally, I believe one reason users accept the high prices is the trust that steady updates will keep adding content. Who'd drop a million won on an online game that doesn't update and has zero new content? ...Though I did whale a bit on Night Rise even when its updates basically stopped, because I loved it too damn much. Anyway, I know better than anyone the pain users feel when updates slow down.
"Will this update well...?"
I frowned, worrying about Raider's future. No matter how good the game is, slow updates make it hard to call it great. It could end up like shiny-but-doomed Night Rise.
And from a streamer's perspective, games with slow updates and thin content suck. No in-game stuff means no stream fodder.
Whatever. Worrying won't change shit right now. I shifted focus from updates.
"...Let's check the rates first."
I opened the detailed rates window. Top tier's 5-star. And the rate is...
"2 percent."
"These days, top collection gachas are standardizing at 3% for 5-stars. So it's low by that measure... but not that low. Anything under 1% you'd call trash, but this is iffy."
I tapped the desk with my index finger.
"Truth is, pickup rates matter more. You all know that, right?"
Pickups are characters with boosted rates for a limited time—most pulls aim for them. So yeah, prioritize that. But since it's CBT, no pickup info yet. Rates done. Next: pity system.
"150 pulls builds mileage for any standard character exchange, even pickups. Mileage doesn't expire. ...Not bad?"
"Based on what's public so far, it's above average for gacha games."
Of course, dupes efficiency, in-game currency earn rates, how much they shower it, PVP, pricing—all factor into whale pressure. Can't judge yet.
