Burning Friday
“I’m home.”
“You’re back early today?”
“Yeah. I finished everything yesterday, so there wasn’t much to do today.”
The proposal we’d all stayed up late to complete yesterday was done. As a lowly employee like me, I had no further involvement, so I had so little work that I spent the entire day just thinking about Mom.
“Ugh….”
On days when no one else is home, we usually just go straight to kissing. It’s always been that way, but she stood on her tiptoes and covered my lips without a word of warning. She clung to me like it was nothing, attacking me with her breasts.
“……Haa.”
Once the kiss ended, the focus returned to her unfocused eyes. Then, she shifted back into the usual, blunt Chaeyu.
“Did you eat, Oppa?”
“No. Not yet.”
“Let’s eat out.”
“Is there something you want?”
“Yeah. There’s a place I want to go.”
“Alright, let me just go change.”
“Okay.”
Mom had taken care of my sexual urges with her mouth, but there was one fatal drawback. After working all day with my lower half feeling sticky from the mixture of semen and saliva, I was dominated by a feeling of intense discomfort. I’d tried to wash up in the bathroom, but it was pretty much the same regardless.
“Whew….”
I’d ducked into the bathroom just in case Chaeyu followed me. *Ugh….* I’d expected it, but the moment I took my clothes off, that unpleasant scent wafted up. If Chaeyu had smelled this, she would’ve asked me a hundred percent what happened outside. Even though it came from my own body, it was just… ugh.
“Are you done changing already?”
“Yeah. The last order is at 8:30, so we have to hurry.”
“Last order? Ah. Right.”
“Yeah, that.”
“You kids and your abbreviations.”
We arrived at the place Chaeyu wanted to go. It was a curry shop, but it felt like it had some special flair. Maybe because it was Friday, there were more people than I’d expected.
“There’s a wait?”
“Yeah. That’s why I said we should hurry.”
“Must be pretty good then.”
I’ve been to many places with Chaeyu, but this was a first. *Come to think of it, I’ve always just gone where Chaeyu wanted to eat.* Thinking about it now, I’ve hung out with Chaeyu a lot. We meet whenever we have time, eat, play, and if it gets late, we go home or have sex at a motel. We don’t have a clear label, but our actions are no different from a couple.
“How’s that cafe doing lately?”
“Where?”
“Where you work.”
“Ah. It’s just normal. Except for being busy on the weekends.”
Chaeyu works part-time at a franchise cafe. She said she started it while attending college.
“Are you going to keep doing that?”
“No. This is just to make money. If I can, I want to sell something other than coffee.”
“Aha… like Mom?”
“Yeah.”
True, Chaeyu isn’t the type to sit at a desk and tap away at a keyboard. Even when she’s working part-time, she smiles at people so brightly and has such a nice voice. Sometimes people even ask for her number.
“Are you going to keep doing your job, Oppa?”
“Yeah. This work suits me perfectly.”
“Is there nothing you want to do?”
“Hmm… not yet.”
I lived such a tight life through the military and college that I started working at the company right after graduation. Surprisingly, office work suits me well, so I think I’ll stay on this path. Of course, I don’t intend to stay in this position forever; eventually, I’ll move beyond just tapping on a keyboard to planning and proposing, but for now, there’s nothing else.
“How many teams are left?”
“Two.”
“I want to eat already.”
“Same here.”
Looking inside, it’s a counter-seating style like a ramen shop, and there aren’t that many seats. Is that why there are still two teams left?
“Ahn Junsu-nim~ Please come in~”
“Yes.”
“Two people, right?”
“Yes.”
Our turn was finally called. I was a bit panicked because we arrived just before the last order.
“Oh… so this is how it comes out.”
Just curry on top of rice. It wasn’t the thick, heavy curry I was used to, but a thinner, more liquid-like version. You could freely add whatever toppings you wanted.
“Gotta take a picture~”
“Are you actually going to post that?”
“Of course I am.”
“Aha….”
The obsession with taking a photo and posting it on social media. It’s something I really can’t understand.
“Thank you~ Have a good night~”
“Whew… I’m stuffed.”
“Same.”
“But I don’t think it was worth the wait.”
“My thoughts exactly. And it’s a bit pricey.”
The taste was just… curry. Sure, it was thinner and cleaner than 3-minute curry, so it had some differentiation. But it didn’t seem like something you’d wait in line for. They say the cost of living has gone up, but how can a basic curry with nothing in it cost over 12,000 won?
“Where to now?”
“Shall we go for a walk before heading back?”
“Sure.”
We came to a quiet park to help digest our food. Even though it was quiet, maybe because it was Friday, there were more young people than elderly folks out for exercise.
“You said earlier you wanted to sell something else.”
“Yeah, I did.”
“What do you want to sell?”
I continued the conversation from earlier. Before Mom and Chaeyu came, the atmosphere was so bleak that I’d wandered quite a bit. So, if Chaeyu had a clear dream, I wanted to help her achieve it.
“Hmm… let’s see. Clothes?”
“Clothes?”
“Yeah. There are a lot of people running clothing stores these days.”
“There are, aren’t there.”
Thinking of clothing stores reminded me of the typical pattern of scammers. The classic pattern of failing at a clothing store and switching to being a female streamer. Honestly, I wonder if that pattern is based on a true story….
“Do you have an item in mind?”
“Hmm… not yet. Oh, I do have a logo in mind.”
“You do?”
“Wait a second.”
Chaeyu took out her phone and showed me a drawing she’d made in her notes. It was a simple, pointed logo with a star at the end of the letter A.
“Oh. That’s not bad.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. There are a lot of popular clothes these days that you can recognize just by a well-made logo.”
Countless luxury brands are recognizable just by their logos. They’re the same color, but because of one different logo, there’s a price difference of tens of thousands to even hundreds of thousands of won. Of course, there’s a difference in quality, but it doesn’t get better the more expensive it is like a machine; once it reaches a certain level, it can’t get any better, so many people think it’s unnecessarily expensive. But what can you do when it’s pretty?
“If you do it right, you could succeed. I like simple things.”
“That’s just your personal opinion, Oppa.”
“That’s true. You’ll have to ask as many people as possible.”
“Yeah.”
“Then I’ll work under you.”
“Under me?”
“Yeah. I’m not going to stay where I am forever, and I can’t live as a lowly employee my whole life.”
“Hmm… alright. Let’s do it together later. You help me out a lot, Oppa.”
“Sure. As long as you pay me well.”
Maybe because it’s night, the spring breeze is a bit chilly. Chaeyu, wearing only a cardigan over a t-shirt, looked a bit pitiful.
“Here.”
“I’m fine, though?”
“Don’t argue, just put it on. You look cold.”
“……Okay. Thank you.”
Now that I’d taken it off, I was cold, but I put my hands in my pants pockets and pretended I wasn’t.
“Oppa.”
“Yeah?”
Chaeyu looked around and asked me in a cautious voice.
“……Can I link arms with you?”
“……Right now?”
“Yeah.”
“……Do whatever you want.”
As soon as I gave the go-ahead, Chaeyu linked her arm with mine. My empty side was filled by Chaeyu, and it was incredibly warm.
“But why the sudden arm-linking?”
“……Habit.”
“You sure have a lot of habits.”
Still, thanks to her, I felt warmer and it was nice. It was also nice to feel the soft sensation against my arm.
“……What are you going to do, Oppa?”
“About what?”
“Right now… your life? That kind of thing.”
“Hmm… I’ll probably move out on my own.”
“Move out?”
“Yeah. I’ll be out by next year at the latest.”
If I keep living in this house, I feel like I’ll become a boomerang kid. And my parents have finally reunited, so I don’t want to ruin that. Also, I’m afraid that if things keep going like this, I’ll end up touching Chaeyu, too. …Though it feels like it’s already way too late for that.
“Moving out is tough.”
“You’ve done it, so you’d know.”
“Right. It’s super hard. You have to cook for yourself every day… do all the dishes and laundry alone… and the money just drains away….”
“Still, I can’t live at home forever.”
“Then….”
Maybe because the wind was cold, Chaeyu clung to me even tighter. The arm that had been pressed against her chest slipped between her breasts. They were big enough that they didn’t lose out even when compared to Mom’s.
“You’ll… find a girlfriend, too.”
“…….”
To bring up the topic of a girlfriend in this situation. Even if we’re a couple who kisses, this question is a foul.
“……I have no intention of finding one.”
“I’m not talking about right now. I’m talking about someday. Like my clothing store.”
“Someday, huh….”
Both me and Chaeyu. Someday, we’ll move out of this house, meet our respective partners, get married, and start families.
“It’ll probably be low.”
“Why?”
“I don’t know… just.”
For starters, having my dick sucked by Mom already ruined that. The necessity of searching for a partner is gradually disappearing. The thought, *‘I have one right next to me, one at home, two of them. Why bother?’* is eating away at me. I shouldn’t be like this. I need to slowly escape the shadow of these sex partners.
Unfortunately, my body reacted honestly.
“Do you have any intention of finding one? A boyfriend.”
“……I don’t either. For now.”
“Why?”
“……Because there’s a man right next to me?”
“…….”
You’re the same as me. Right. There’s someone right next to me I can kiss whenever I want.
“But you know we shouldn’t be doing this.”
“Oppa. Do you know this?”
“What?”
“They say it’s not a crime if you don’t get caught.”
“……It’s not a crime in the first place.”
“Anyway!”
“Ouch.”
Chaeyu, perhaps frustrated, jumped up and hit me. It didn’t hurt.
“Anyway… so….”
Chaeyu grabbed my hand that was in my pocket. It was truly warm.
“We just have to not get caught.”
Seeing her stand on her tiptoes, I lowered my posture. The sound of our lips meeting was explicit. However, we didn’t stop. Fitting for a burning Friday, something inside me was burning up.
“Haa….”
“Why is your tongue so lewd?”
“It’s because of you, Oppa.”
“Why are you blaming me agai—”
“Oppa.”
“What.”
“This thing poking my stomach… what is it?”
“…….”
My dick was already poking into Chaeyu. At the point where we were both looking at the tent I’d so well-erected, it was already too late to make excuses.
“……It’s built up because of me, right?”
“Not necessarily just that… yeah.”
“……It’s my fault, right?”
“Probably…?”
It’s Chaeyu’s fault, and it’s Mom’s fault. Because the two of you keep tormenting me—specifically, my dick.
“……You said you weren’t looking for a girlfriend, Oppa.”
“Yeah.”
“Then it wouldn’t matter if I took care of it, right?”
“For now… I guess.”
At Chaeyu’s silver-tongued persuasion, I nodded as if I had no choice. My body, already given permission, began to twitch even more toward Chaeyu.
“Where are you sleeping tonight?”
“…….”
It’s common for adult men and women to sleep out. Our country has become quite open, with parents even knowing and giving advice to use contraception.
“……Should we sleep out?”
So it wouldn’t matter for us, right? Besides, who would think we’d do anything, being siblings?
