Chapter 63: Teacher Chu Ning’s Coldness
Chapter 63: Teacher Chu Ning’s Coldness
Mom wore a warm, graceful smile as she greeted her. "Hello, Teacher Chu."
Chu Ning hadn't expected to run into the two of us here. A flicker of nervousness and unease instinctively crossed her beautiful face, but she quickly composed herself. A gentle smile touched her lips as well. "Hello, hello, Lin Yuan’s mother. I didn't expect us to meet again so soon."
The two beautiful women shared a brief, polite touch of their slender, fair hands. Mom smiled thinly. "I didn't expect it to be such a coincidence either."
As Mom’s voice trailed off, her gaze shifted to the middle-aged man standing beside Chu Ning. "And this is?"
Chu Ning took the man’s arm, her smile turning sweet and sugary as she introduced him. "This is my husband, Cao Yun. He’s the Office Director for the Qinghua District. He was just dropping me off at work today."
Whether it was intentional or not, I felt like she put a particular emphasis on the word "husband."
A pang of bitterness welled up in my chest, and I immediately shot Chu Ning a heavy look.
Cao Yun’s reaction to Chu Ning’s gesture wasn't quite normal. He looked stunned, glancing at her with a hint of surprise, clearly not understanding why she was suddenly being so affectionate toward him.
Mom smiled faintly at the introduction. "Chi Qinglan. I work at Chiyue Group."
Mom and Cao Yun nodded to each other in a brief acknowledgment.
A second later, Cao Yun froze. It was as if he had just woken from a dream, and he asked in utter disbelief, "The... the President Chi of Chiyue Group?"
Mom gave a small, polite nod, then patted my shoulder. "You see your teacher and you don't even say hello?"
I stared at Chu Ning’s arm linked with Cao Yun’s, and the memory of her sweet "husband" echoed in my mind, making me feel even more miserable. But with Mom standing right there, I could only mutter reluctantly, "Hello, Teacher."
Teacher Chu nodded toward me, but her eyes didn't even graze mine. Her reaction was incredibly cold.
Mom said, "I see you two are in a hurry, so perhaps we can chat more next time?"
"Of course, Lin Yuan’s mother. Let’s talk next time."

After parting ways with Teacher Chu and her husband, Mom and I walked toward the car parked by the curb.
For some reason, Mom’s mood seemed to have brightened significantly after the encounter. The smile on her face grew more radiant by the second.
Suddenly, the sound of hurried footsteps came from behind us. I turned around to see Cao Yun rushing over. With a stiff, formal expression, he held out a business card with both hands. "President... President Chi, this is my business card."
Mom accepted it with polite indifference.
Cao Yun smiled nervously. "President Chi, I had the honor of seeing you once before at the Qinghua District Enterprise Conference."
I watched coldly. This Cao Yun knew exactly what he was doing. If he could latch onto a titan like Chiyue Group and bring a few projects or investments to the Qinghua District, his future career wouldn't just be a steady climb—it would be smooth sailing all the way.
Mom offered a polite platitude. "I look forward to the possibility of collaborating with the Qinghua District government in the future."
Seeing that Mom had no intention of offering a card in return, Cao Yun realized she had no interest in further contact. He could only offer an awkward laugh. "Well... then, see you around."
He gave me a final nod before driving away.
Once he was gone, Mom’s beautiful eyes flicked toward me. "Why do I get the feeling you’re not very happy?"
"Am I?"
Mom stared at me without blinking, her lips curling into a playful, mocking smile. She threw the question back at me. "Are you?"
The image of Teacher Chu clinging to Cao Yun’s arm and calling him "husband" kept looping in my head. I was incredibly frustrated, and my patience with Mom was wearing thin. "You’re so full of yourself," I snapped.
Mom’s face stiffened instantly. The smile vanished from her lips. She gave me a cold, sweeping glance before turning and walking away without a word.
With the roar of the Mercedes-Benz engine, the car disappeared from sight in the blink of an eye.
Regret immediately gnawed at me, but there was no way to fix it now. I could only stand there and watch her leave.
I lingered for a moment until the crowd thinned out. Checking the time and seeing I only had a few minutes before class, I hurried toward the classroom.
On the campus path, a tall figure appeared ahead of me. Her legs were shapely and long, and her buttocks were full and rounded, yet her curves remained soft and elegant. She wasn't intentionally swaying her hips, yet the natural allure of that beautiful ass as she walked was enough to captivate the gaze of every adolescent boy nearby.
It was Teacher Chu.
Watching the students stealing glances at her, my mind flashed back to her holding Cao Yun’s arm. I thought about how many times I had pinned those two exquisite cheeks beneath me, fucking her senseless. The memory left me feeling angry, bitter, and resentful all at once.
I didn't want to deal with her, but my legs moved on their own until I was walking beside her.
Teacher Chu turned her head slightly. Seeing it was me, she didn't look again. Instead, she lengthened her stride, picking up the pace as if trying to shake me off.
I reached out silently, wanting to carry her handbag for her, but she gripped it tightly. I tried twice but couldn't pull it away, so I gave up. There were too many students around; I didn't want to draw any unwanted attention.
I kept pace with her, wondering what I had done to upset her. "Ning... Teacher Chu?" I muttered.
I had almost called her Ning’er, but she was clearly furious with me. Since I couldn't figure out why, I settled for her formal title.
Chu Ning’s face was set in a hard line. She spoke with professional coldness. "Student Lin Yuan, is there something you need?"
I was about to ask her what was wrong when another female teacher approached, clearly intending to walk with her.
I could only say bitterly, "It’s nothing."
"If it’s nothing, then hurry back to class."
*
The moment I entered the classroom, I was greeted by cheers and jeers from my classmates. Over the weekend, I had used my competition prize money to treat the whole class; even those who couldn't make it had received digital red envelopes.
I forced a smile and responded to them, but I felt drained as I slumped into my seat.
The wonderful mood from waking up next to my naked, beautiful mother had been completely ruined by Chu Ning.
Fatty Wang Shuo patted my shoulder. "Brother Yuan, what’s up? Why the long face?"
"It’s nothing. Don't bother me, I need to rest."
I leaned forward and buried my face in my arms on the desk.
Wang Shuo sat back, sensing my mood, and wisely kept his mouth shut.
Time flowed like water, and the morning passed in a blur.
Because of Chu Ning, my mind was a mess of anxiety and irritation. I hadn't absorbed a single word of the lessons.
The last period of the morning was a self-study session, proctored by our class teacher.
Chu Ning walked in from the hallway. She stepped up to the podium and scanned the dozens of students below. Her voice was stern, her beautiful eyes flashing with authority. "This is a self-study period. Keep it quiet and work on your weak points. If you have English questions, come up and ask. No talking!"
I stared at the tall, slender figure on the podium. She was a soft, seductive woman, yet here she was, putting on this act of a strict, heartless teacher. The contrast sent a surge of inexplicable, dark heat through my veins.
Even a saint has a breaking point. We were inseparable last week, with her riding me and begging for more, and now, after just two days, she was giving me the cold shoulder for no reason? This wouldn't do.
I swallowed hard, grabbed my English "Three-Year Mock Exam" book, and walked toward the podium.
A few students looked up at me before burying their heads back into their difficult problems. With less than a year until the college entrance exams, every second was precious to these seniors.
Sitting at the podium, Chu Ning lifted her eyes slightly, gave me a flat look, and then looked back down at the book in her hands.
I reached the podium. Hah. She was reading an English edition of Love in the Time of Cholera.
"Teacher, I don't understand this question."
Only then did Chu Ning close her book. Her gaze swept over the mock exam book I had placed on the desk, and her face instantly turned icy. "You don't understand this question?"
I was pointing at a basic, elementary-level question.
Looking at Chu Ning’s freezing expression, I didn't flinch. I had come up here specifically to cause trouble. Why would I be afraid of her now?
