Her voice carried a steely resolve. Feeling a stir in my chest, I gripped her arm tighter.
"I have a good idea."

"Become my slave. Then we can both escape here safely."

Confusion flickered across Ena's face at my words. And just then—thwack!—an axe chopped into the door.
"You need to decide quickly."
I raised my smartphone, ready to bolt at any moment, and asked. Ena lowered her lashes briefly before looking me straight in the eye and opening her mouth.
