“A female knight……”
The quest content was to obtain a mana stone fragment from the female knight, Ena. It was incredibly straightforward, but the problem was that Ena was being chased by soldiers. I might have to fight them. And in the worst case, someone might end up dead.
Killing a person……
It was bound to feel off-putting. But that didn't mean I could take on a Twin-Headed Ogre instead.
……At least humans should be easier to deal with than a Twin-Headed Ogre.
I headed back to the entrance, slipped on my shoes, and muttered to myself.
“Well, let's give it a shot.”
Taking a slow, deep breath, I immediately selected the Otherworld Quest 'The Female Knight and the Lord.'

The notification popped up on my smartphone screen, and I tapped Yes without hesitation. Suddenly, my vision went pitch black for a moment before shifting to a completely different scene: a dark forest that had nothing to do with my studio apartment.
It wasn't entirely dark, though. The moonlight was surprisingly bright, illuminating the surroundings clearly. The night sky was cloudless, twinkling with countless stars. It was truly a beautiful sight.
Captivated for a moment, I quickly snapped out of it and checked my minimap.
“That way, huh.”
As always, the target wasn't far. Relying on the moonlight, I carefully descended the mountain path.
Clang!
Then, a sharp metallic clash echoed from afar. Comparing the direction to the minimap marker, they lined up perfectly. It looked like she was fighting the soldiers sent by the lord.
Guess I have no choice but to fight.
Clicking my tongue bitterly, I headed toward the noise. It wasn't long before I spotted a single woman surrounded and under attack by about a dozen soldiers.
“Hey, don't damage her too much!”
“She's valuable—keep her skin intact. Heh heh.”
“Careful! Wear her down!”
“Ah, look at that pale skin? Driving me crazy.”
The soldiers encircling Ena drooled and spewed vulgarities. In contrast, the quest target herself defended flawlessly, silently parrying their swords and spears without a hint of disorder.
So that's Ena, the female knight.
Her tightly pressed lips, straight nose, and piercing blue eyes staring indifferently at her foes were eerily beautiful. Especially her silver hair, woven like fine threads, fluttered in the wind, exuding a mystical aura. No wonder the soldiers were salivating over her.
“Ugh!”
At that moment, a soldier's spear shaft struck Ena's shoulder. She let out a short grunt and staggered. The soldiers erupted in cheers.
“Haha! Got her! Snatch her weapon quick!”
“Finish it!”
Seeing her falter, the soldiers charged. Ena desperately raised her sword to block, but dropped it in the chaos.
“Grab her!”
“Finally gonna find out if she's a virgin or not.”
Cheers rang out again. Despair flickered across Ena's face. She glared at the soldiers furiously, clenching her fists as if ready to fight barehanded and keep them at bay.
But the soldiers laughed it off, closing in mockingly.
“Oho, gonna swing at us? Go ahead, your highness knight!”
“Heh heh, we'll pamper you plenty—just relax?”
“Look at that smooth flesh? Insane.”
Wildly aroused, they shoved her down with shields and pinned her to the ground.
“Let go!”
A sharp cry burst from Ena's lips. The soldiers only grew more excited.
“Listen to this feisty bitch! Hey, grab her arms and legs tight!”
“Let go! Ngh!”
With her limbs seized, Ena thrashed to escape. But the more she struggled, the tighter their grip became.
“I'm claiming her first.”
One soldier yanked down his pants, revealing his grotesque manhood.
Damn……
Frowning, I clicked my tongue. Looked like I had to step in.
Black Staff Summon
Gripping the Black Staff, I stepped out from the bushes and spoke again.
“……That's far enough.”
I hadn't raised my voice much, but it carried clearly in all directions. The dozen soldiers around Ena turned to stare.
“Who the hell's that guy?”
“Is he nuts?”
Leaving four holding Ena's limbs, the other ten grabbed weapons and surrounded me. Murderous intent gleamed in their eyes. I could feel it—I might get killed. No, I would get killed.
Killed, huh……
Strangely, I wasn't tense. A thrilling chill ran over my skin. It felt good.
“Run!”
Ena shouted at me. She must've thought I couldn't handle the soldiers. Fair enough—logically, I was alone against over ten burly men. I'd lose. Normally.
Goblin Summon
Stepping forward, I said,
“……Orc Summon.”

“……Elena Summon.”

I summoned everything except Matilda. In an instant, 24 goblins, three orcs, and Elena appeared around me.
“Gasp!”
The soldiers inhaled sharply, panic evident on their faces. I felt Ena's shocked gaze too. Nice stares.
Feeling pumped.
Grinning, I opened my mouth.
“Subdue them.”
At my command, the goblins and orcs roared in unison.
“Kerrrrk!!”
“Grroooar!!”
The 27 monsters charged. The front-line soldier barely resisted before an orc's club sent him tumbling.
“Shields up! Get it together! Just goblins and orcs! Hold!”
As the first casualty fell, their leader bellowed orders. Smirking, I aimed my staff at him.
Dark Arrow
Chanting the spell, a black arrow shot out at high speed.
“Argh!”
It pierced the leader's shoulder, then the thigh of the soldier behind him before vanishing. The defenders faltered, faces ashen.
“Shit, what the hell? Why are the goblins so strong?!”
“Aaaagh!”
Especially the orcs, buffed by the Black Staff, unleashed monstrous strength, sweeping through the soldiers.
“Grroooar!!”
A soldier punched in the chest flew back in a low arc, collapsing and foaming at the mouth, limbs twitching. Incredible power.
“Ahh……”
The soldiers groaned involuntarily. Some dropped weapons and pissed themselves.
Yeah, this side's wrapping up.
Chuckling, I turned to Ena. Firing another Dark Arrow, the black projectile pierced the shoulder of the soldier gripping her leg.
“Aaaagh!!”
He screamed and released her. Ena kicked his jaw with her freed leg, then booted the two holding her arms.
“Guhk!”
“Argh!”
It was like a scene from an action flick. No wonder she was a knight. Impressed, I approached slowly.
“Are you alright?”
Offering my hand, Ena eyed me warily with her blue eyes. But soon, she cautiously took it. Her calloused palm surprised me, but I remembered she was a knight.
Impressive.
Pulling her up, I steadied her.
