A Leisure Life Has Appeared
The notification popped up on my phone screen without warning.
Leisure Life has been installed.
I stared at the screen, blinking slowly. My thumb hovered over the icon that had appeared out of nowhere. It was a simple design—just a stylized palm tree against a sunset backdrop—but something about it felt off. Too clean. Too deliberate.
“What the hell is this?” I muttered under my breath.
I’d never downloaded anything like it. No pop-up ads, no sketchy website prompts. It simply… appeared. Like it had always been there, waiting for me to notice.
My name is Kim Hajin. Twenty-seven years old. Unemployed. Living in a cramped one-room apartment in the outskirts of Seoul, surviving on the bare minimum of savings and the occasional part-time gig. My days blurred together in a haze of cheap ramen, web novels, and the occasional adult video to kill time. Nothing special. Just another loser drifting through life.
That was why the name of the app struck me as particularly ironic.
Leisure Life. As if someone like me could ever afford that kind of luxury.
Curiosity won out over caution. I tapped the icon.
Welcome, User.
Your Leisure Life begins now.
Would you like to create your character?
The screen flashed with soft golden light. A simple character creation window unfolded. It looked like something straight out of an old RPG game—height, weight, facial features, even a slider for muscle tone. But the options went far beyond the usual. There were sliders for “Charisma,” “Luck,” and something called “Sexual Prowess.”
I let out a dry laugh. “This has to be some kind of prank app.”
Still, I found myself adjusting the sliders almost absentmindedly. I made myself taller. Sharper jawline. Broader shoulders. The kind of body I’d always daydreamed about while staring at my reflection in the bathroom mirror. Why not? It was just a silly mobile game.
When I hit confirm, the phone vibrated violently in my hand.
Name: Kim Hajin
Level: 1
Stats:
Strength: 8 → 15
Stamina: 7 → 14
Agility: 9 → 16
Charm: 5 → 22
Luck: 6 → 18
Sexual Prowess: 4 → 25
My eyes widened. The numbers had changed in real time. Before I could process what that meant, a sharp heat surged through my body. It felt like every cell was being rewritten. My muscles tightened, bones shifted slightly, and my skin tingled as if electricity was dancing across it.
“What… the actual fuck?”
I stumbled to the bathroom mirror. The face staring back at me wasn’t the same tired, average-looking guy I’d seen every morning for years. My jaw was sharper. My eyes clearer. Even my messy hair looked stylish now, like I’d just stepped out of a salon. My shoulders had broadened, and when I lifted my shirt, I could see the faint outline of abs that definitely hadn’t been there five minutes ago.
I touched my face. It was real. This was real.
The phone vibrated again. A new message appeared.

Objective: Experience your first intimate encounter in this new body.

I read it twice. Then a third time. My throat felt dry.
This wasn’t a game. This was my life now. A system had latched onto me, turning my boring, mediocre existence into something straight out of the web novels I used to read to escape reality.
And the first quest it gave me was to get laid.
A nervous laugh escaped my lips. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
But even as I said it, I could feel the changes settling in. My body felt lighter. Stronger. More… capable. The constant dull ache in my lower back from sitting at a computer all day was gone. My mind felt sharper too, like a fog had lifted.
I looked back at the phone. The app’s main menu had several tabs now: Status, Skills, Inventory, World Travel, and Harem.
Harem.
Of course there was a harem tab.
I tapped it. The screen was empty except for a single line of text.
Current Companions: 0/???

The world is yours to explore.
I sat down heavily on my old couch, phone still in hand. My heart was pounding. Part of me wanted to dismiss this as a hallucination or some elaborate scam. But the mirror didn’t lie. The body I was in now didn’t lie.
This was real.
A slow grin spread across my new, much more handsome face.
“Alright then,” I whispered. “If this is my leisure life… I guess I should start living it.”
Outside the window, the dull gray Seoul sky seemed a little brighter. For the first time in years, I felt something I hadn’t felt in a long time.
Excitement.
And maybe, just maybe, a little bit of hope.
