Chapter 232
"What the hell am I supposed to do?"
Han Yaseong was stumped. Without the gold bar, he couldn't even try pressing it against the door or jamming it into some slot. He ran his hands over it, stroked the surface, traced every one of those bizarre glyphs with his fingertips—but the door-thing didn't react at all.
He felt blocked again, frustration bubbling up.
"Yadong!"
So he called for Yadong. The little guy might be able to open it, who knew. But Yadong just came over, took one look with a blank expression, and wandered off. Like it wasn't his turn or something. That made Han Yaseong feel even more like he needed to dig deeper.
This clearly wasn't the entrance yet.
"Damn it..."
He'd gotten excited thinking it was a door, but nope—more digging. And supplies were running critically low. It had been half a year already since he arrived here. Back in the other world, that was barely a day and a half.
"What now?"
Maybe head home and come back? He needed food, and yeah, that was nagging at him too. Over six months of celibacy. No women in sight. Hand stuff had hit its limit, and wet dreams felt gross. He wanted to call up Senior Choi Yujin and Senior Jang Euna, fuck them silly, then return.
But leaving the dig site unattended made him uneasy. Reina might show up. No guarantee she'd stick to next Monday. She could drop by today or tomorrow if she got bored. And others might come too. This place wasn't a safe zone anymore. Anyone could portal in and stumble on it.
Worst case, he'd be handing some asshole a golden opportunity. While he was gone, that prick could crack the secret and snag a giant's relic or whatever. No way in hell.
Giant's relic or legacy—whatever it was, he had to claim it.
Han Yaseong reluctantly scrapped the home trip.
"Guess I'll hunt and eat to survive."
No more rice, no ramen. No kimchi, no snacks. Not even those chocolate bars the wild animals used to cough up. Straight-up hunting and butchering from here on out.
Once he got the relic, then he'd go home and bang Choi Yujin and Jang Euna together. A two-for-one celebration for scoring the artifact. Side by side on all fours, staring at their pussies and asses—fuck, that'd be hot.
"Hell yeah, for that day!"
He kept digging.
About a month later, the outline started emerging. Spaceship? Submarine? Battle cruiser? Whatever it was, it was massive. Even just the exposed part was insane. Hell, it might really be 10 kilometers long and 5 wide. The sheer scale was intimidating, like an ant staring up at a colossal carrier. No clue how far it went—he was overwhelmed.
"What now?"
Han Yaseong stood atop the black warship's hull, sighing. He'd call it a space battleship for now. Anything less wouldn't do justice to the size. And it looked legit, not some scrap heap.
Doors everywhere—countless ones—but none budged. No entrance in sight. Even if he found one, how the hell would he get in? He was just blindly hunting for an obvious hatch.
"Haa..."
Another sigh escaped. A solid month of nonstop hunting, living off meat alone. No rice, no cans, no junk food. Nothing but meat. He craved ramen, soda, chips. The temptation to pop home for a day kept gnawing at him. The wild animals had gone on strike without their chocolate bars. Yadong never worked anyway.
Meat fatigue had set in—stomach churning. He dreamed of cold hangover soup or seolleongtang.
"Alright, let's go home."
Excavating this thing wasn't a one- or two-month job. Could take a year, three even. A day's break wouldn't hurt. Especially since his dick was practically rotting from neglect. He needed to fuck a woman. Call up Choi Yujin and Jang Euna, go to town, then come back—but what if someone showed up meanwhile? That anxiety kept spiking.
A day there was four months here. Plenty of time for some bastard to find it, crack the door, claim it all. He'd be gifting it away like a fool. Lose the battleship? He'd die of rage. It was worth more than Choi Yujin and Jang Euna combined. Girls could be replaced anytime, but this? No.
With cash, he could fuck anyone. Drop 10 billion won, and A-list celebs would spread for him. Whole idol groups. Sponsor an agency with a billion, snag a couple trainees easy. 10 billion? Orgy with top girl group members. Money made the world go 'round.
Choi Yujin and Jang Euna were tasty, but not battleship-level. Ambition made people ruthless like that. Traitors and sellouts were born from it. With this ship, he could buy countries—hell, conquer the world.
Leaving it felt wrong.
"Ah, fuck... what to do..."
Couldn't vent the frustration or hide it. Reburying would take a month; re-digging months more. Stuck in limbo.
"Fine, one more month."
If no door by then, he'd decide. Roughly seven or eight months here now—two days back home. Even if he went, time was tight: portal in around 5 PM, barely two hours for supplies and banging. Better go with buffer time to stock up and fuck properly.
Han Yaseong committed to one more month and headed out to hunt. Yadong, spooked from that giant bird run-in, refused to join. Solo trip to Forest 3 again.
Ostrich-chickens were getting old, so he scanned for new game. No hippo packs, so he targeted a massive reindeer-like beast. No antlers, deer-ish face, but elephant-sized. Bulk gave it real presence—tougher vibe than ostriches or hippos.
But Han Yaseong's guts had long outgrown his body. Half a year of survival hunting had toughened him up. Fully adapted now. Clothes shredded to rags—like a primitive man. Barefoot felt better anyway. Tarzan vibes; hunting didn't faze him.
He crept up on the grazing behemoth, crossbow at the ready. Thwack! The bolt's sharp head punched straight through its thick neck.
It screeched—a guttural grrrraaawr!—thrashing, eyes bulging at him.
Han Yaseong stayed cool, firing again. Thwack, thwack! Bolts slammed into its torso. Three hits in seconds. Bloodshot eyes flaring, it snorted steam and charged.
No fear. Giant herbivores were routine now. He drew his real sword, sidestepped the bull-rush like a matador, slashing down.
Schwick! Front leg severed clean.
It stumbled mid-stride, lost balance, crashed forward with a thud. Tried to rise, but one-legged? No dice.
Han Yaseong circled behind, sword flashing for the neck. Slash! Thick hide parted, blood spraying. Not enough—one cut wouldn't do. Two, three hacks—half the throat gaped, head slammed down, body crumpling.
"Huff... huff..."
Han Yaseong caught his breath, confirming the kill. Scanned around—no hyena-like scavengers yet. Had to butcher and haul before the blood scent drew them.
