Chapter 211
She thought she was pretty. He gave her the fitting response.
"Okay, you're rape."
"You're a criminal. You die."
Her voice changed. Calling her out for rape or murder must've made her feel like the criminal herself—her tone turned firm. Negotiations had broken down. Now it was kill or be killed.
Han Yaseong made it clear first: all the blame lay with her.
"You shot me. I'm revenge."
"Sorry for that. You seemed like a criminal. Dangerous."
"Okay. Let's do this."
Han Yaseong had no crossbow or real sword on him right now, putting him at a disadvantage, but he figured he could manage. She was a woman, and she didn't seem professionally trained. The type to panic and fire at the sight of someone. Clearly a newbie explorer.
So the odds favored him. He'd trained here for over a year, growing stronger. This was his turf, teeming with allies.
Han Yaseong cleared his throat and bellowed.
"Hey, guys! Chocolate bars for you!"
His shout called the forest's wildlife as reinforcements.
But suddenly, she cried out in surprise.
"You Korean?"
"What? Why?"
"High school, my friend Korean. Jeong Hwa-ri."
She must've had a Korean friend back in high school. That's how she picked up on the language. Han Yaseong knew English, German, and Spanish too. He might not grasp the full meaning, but he got the vibe.
She seemed to sense it was Korean the same way, even without knowing the words.
Too late, though. Dozens of beasts from Forest 1 and Forest 0 swarmed in, lured by the promise of chocolate bars.
"Attack that bitch!"
But they just stood there blankly, refusing to charge. They crowded close, begging for chocolate instead.
Oh, right. These guys were herbivores. They didn't fight—they just occasionally huffed and puffed in annoyance, but never actually attacked anything. Not like proper wild beasts.
Standing there like idiots, they drew a sigh from Han Yaseong. No teamwork, no dice.
That's when she started babbling something fast—too quick to catch the meaning.
"Slow. Slow. I'm not speaking English."
"You. Animal. Friend?"
She was asking if he was friends with these animals. He hesitated, then figured admitting it might intimidate her.
"Yeah, these guys are my friends."
"You're not bad guy, right?"
After all that rape and die talk?
"I'm good guy. But you're rape. Or die. You shot me."
I'm a good guy, but I'll rape you or kill you. You shot me.
"I'm sorry. Not on purpose. Mistake."
"Bullshit. You kill people by accident?"
He'd nearly been turned into Swiss cheese. He couldn't trust her. He had to subdue her fast—rape her or smash her skull with his hand axe in one blow.
One slip, and that shotgun would riddle his body with holes.
Still, he tried again: drop the gun and come out.
No dice.
"Can't drop the gun. Can't trust you."
"I can't trust you either. You already shot at me."
Somehow, they kept communicating in this standoff. All the while, Han Yaseong's mind raced. Subduing her quick was priority one.
He decided to use the naive wildlife.
"That bitch has chocolate bars! Go get 'em! Hurry!"
His shouts got through—they bolted straight for her. She shrieked and ducked behind a tree, flustered.
Seizing the moment, Han Yaseong crouched low and darted to another tree. Dozens of beasts mobbed her, hopping and clamoring for treats. She couldn't bring herself to shoot wildlife, flailing in panic.
Slipping from tree to tree, Han Yaseong advanced to within ten meters.
Then her voice rang out.
"Where are you?"
He stayed silent, of course. No way he'd give away his position.
She scanned around, tense. Couldn't spot him, so her pussy must've been clenching in fear.
Han Yaseong flattened himself in the underbrush, holding his breath. The beasts still begged around her.
She didn't shoot even with them in the way—not a total monster, maybe. But trust? No chance. Trusting an armed woman was suicide.
She kept looking around, so he couldn't move. He waited, still as death.
Then she bolted—fleeing backward, spooked by the unknown threat.
He wanted to chase but feared the shotgun. Couldn't risk eating lead mid-pursuit.
So he let her go for now. Kill her at night.
"Gotta send Yadong after her."
In a rush, Han Yaseong sprinted to his shelter. Yadong was sprawled belly-up, dead asleep. Lazy fucker.
I almost died from a shotgun blast, and you don't even check? If he'd come, they could've ambushed her.
Fuming, he kicked Yadong's ass. The beast yelped awake in shock.
"Hey, I nearly got shot to death, and you're snoring away?"
Yadong scowled like what the hell?
Han Yaseong yanked up his pants, showing the bloody hole in his calf.
"Enemy showed up, asshole! I got shot!"
Finally grasping the gravity, Yadong growled.
Han Yaseong hurriedly chewed white berries and smeared the pulp on the wound. Shotgun pellets rattled inside his calf—he'd have to dig them out. No time for caution; he gulped red, yellow, and green berries too.
The white berry dulled the pain. He washed a small knife in water, sterilized it over fire, sliced the torn flesh, and gritted his teeth to extract the pellets.
Finally, one popped out, bloody but intact. BB-sized, but deadly enough piercing flesh—not to be underestimated.
He reapplied white berry juice, then geared for battle: daggers at his belt, crossbow in hand, longsword on his back.
This was war. Hunt her down, kill or rape.
She might have buddies. Or she'd bring more from her world next time. Better end it now, no loose ends.
At least delay others. The portal was the issue—others might pop up elsewhere. Dozens? Hundreds? But no internet buzz yet, so probably few.
If hundreds, some idiot would've filmed and posted by now. No such vids meant just a handful.
"Let's go. Gotta take her out. Or our home's done for."
Yadong growled and strapped a dagger to his forepaw. Seeing Han Yaseong's wound had him on alert—could be him next.
Heading to Forest 1 with Yadong, Han Yaseong paused.
"Yadong, drop the dagger. Pretend you're just wildlife, track her, and signal me her position."
Growl—no way.
"She's got a gun. But she won't kill animals—animal lover, maybe. Safe if you play normal. Dagger on your leg? She might shoot, thinking you're with me. So act like regular wildlife, chase her. She won't fire then."
Growl, think, then Yadong ditched the dagger. No desire to get shot.
"Scout her spot and let me know. She fled into Forest 1."
Yadong dashed ahead. Han Yaseong followed slowly. Gunwoman meant caution—could be ambushing.
Wait for Yadong to pinpoint her. He crept to Forest 1's edge and held.
No sign of her—she'd fully fled. Yadong vanished inside.
Han Yaseong stared at the scattered pellets on the ground. All hits would've shredded him.
Armed attempted murderer—fair game. Kill in self-defense. America allowed that: shoot first, lethal counter okay. Korea punished killing knife-wielding robbers as excessive force, but America let you blast them clean.
