Chapter 120
“I’m gonna hop in the shower.”
“Okay. Wash up nice and clean. No smells, alright?”
“Got it.”
Seona sunbae headed out to the living room and slipped into the bathroom. Han Yaseong, drained of energy, flopped back onto the bed. The red fruit’s effects had worn off, leaving him utterly exhausted and languid as a side effect. Just lie here a bit, then see her off… But when he cracked his eyes open, it was already 2 p.m.
“Nngh?”
He must’ve passed out right there on the bed. Han Yaseong stretched with a groan and finally dragged himself upright.
“Ugh, I feel like death…”
His whole body ached like he’d been beaten black and blue. Full-body muscle soreness. As expected, without access to that other world, recovery here was painfully slow. The red fruit’s aftereffects hadn’t faded one bit. He’d probably need to head over there and sleep it off to heal properly.
“Ow, kill me now…”
Han Yaseong hauled himself up and shuffled to the living room, then into the bathroom. Every bone in his body throbbed, and even his dick hurt. Normally it wouldn’t, but the red fruit’s hangover seemed to have left it sore too. He barely managed to piss, then stepped out and headed to the fridge for water. That’s when he spotted the note stuck to the fridge door.
[Yaseong, you were out cold so I didn’t wake you. Heading out. I’ll call later. Thanks for the hug.]
Seona
“……”
A shiver ran through his sore body. He was touched. Thanks for hugging me… If anything, he was the grateful one. Seona sunbae was nothing like Yujin sunbae. Where Yujin had that queenly vibe that put men beneath her, Seona carried herself like a queen consort, placing men above her. That’s why it felt so damn good. Or rather, Yujin and Seona had such different flavors—they’d be even more fun together. One a queen, the other a consort; a threesome would be perfect.
“But that’s only if she’s still alive…”
As he chugged water from the fridge, Han Yaseong regretted what he’d done to Choi Yujin sunbae. No matter how you sliced it, live-streaming Seona sunbae sucking his dick to her… it was insane. The red fruit must’ve made his guts spill out his ass with boldness. Choi Yujin sunbae was probably pissed. She’d always said to talk first if he was with another girl. But hey, he’d told her mid-act, so no foul, right? He hadn’t hidden it just because she was her friend. Still, insane was insane. Not some stranger, but her closest friend slurping away on his cock, crystal clear…
“I wanna go back…”
“Ughhh…” Standing by the sunlit window, Han Yaseong stretched again, only to groan as pain stabbed through him. Drained and weary, he curled up on the bed for a while until hunger finally drove him to dress and head out.
Passing the quiet streets in front of campus, he pondered his meal and ducked into a fried rice joint. It was a spot popular with female students, but post-lunch, only a few were chatting over food—the place was mostly empty. Han Yaseong claimed a corner table, ordered fried rice, and waited. He picked up the sports newspaper on the neighboring seat and flipped through it when the door chimed open with bright female voices.
“Let’s eat here.”
“Sure.”
Glancing up absently from the paper, Han Yaseong froze. Four college girls were taking seats at the table across from his—and one was Kwon Seoha. Dressed in jeans and a plain tee, she laughed as she sat. His heart started pounding.
Thump thump…
Two months since he’d last seen her, and Kwon Seoha looked even more beautiful. The old crush vibes surged back. Han Yaseong stared blankly at her from across the way before snapping his gaze away, afraid she’d notice. He hated this. This childish puppy love—he’d sworn off it after getting rejected in middle school. Yet with Kwon Seoha, his heart kept turning pure. Lust and sex vanished in an instant. They’d return later, but that first sight of her always left only innocent longing. That’s why he both loved and hated seeing her. It made him feel small, pathetic. Han Yaseong, who’d lost his boyish purity, secretly resented Kwon Seoha for still holding onto hers. And they weren’t even close…
Right then, his fried rice arrived. Han Yaseong ate slowly, every nerve tuned to her table. Kwon Seoha and her three friends chattered away. Too far to catch words, but it seemed club-related. Sitting alone in the corner, picking at fried rice and stealing glances—it felt weird. Her smile really was stunning. Han Yaseong chuckled idly to himself and shook his head. Grinning like an idiot over fried rice and a crush… I’m losing it.
He wolfed down the rest, slurped the egg drop soup, paid at the counter, and bolted. Kwon Seoha probably didn’t even know a guy named Han Yaseong existed. That was his place on campus. Only a tiny handful knew him, and just two really got him: Choi Yujin sunbae and Seona sunbae. Without them, no one in this world truly knew he existed.
Strolling home slowly, Han Yaseong felt a swell of happiness. Because of those two. Life without them was unthinkable now. If he could, he’d stay with them forever. But to do that, he needed strength. Power to climb into the elite. Only then could he keep them.
Han Yaseong swung by the mart for groceries. The portal would open again in a few hours. He’d missed yesterday, so today was a must. He loaded up a month’s worth for delivery home, paying with the card Choi Yujin sunbae had given him—3 million won limit, “use it freely.” He did. No pride in skimping there. Besides, he made her cheap in bed anyway, so it balanced out. And with the fortunes he’d rake in soon, pocket change like that didn’t matter.
Back home, he eyed the address scribbled on his desk from earlier web searches on gun shops. He’d called ahead; they had a few real swords left, no records kept, cash only. Pricey, but no paperwork hassles—that’s why he’d noted it. It was in Chungju, too far for today. Maybe tomorrow.
He moved the delivered groceries from the living room to the attic. Then he called Seona sunbae. A few rings, and her clear voice answered.
“Yaseong-ah.”
“Yeah, it’s me.”
“You up now? You were dead asleep this morning, so I just left.”
“Woke up a bit ago, ate, chilling now. You?”
“Same. Slept plenty, ate, studying French.”
“You and Yujin sunbae both study so much.”
“Gotta. A few languages at least. So what’s up? Calling me over?”
“Nah, just heads-up: I’m out tonight from 7 till 1 or 2 a.m. Didn’t want you showing up empty if you planned to.”
“Where to?”
“Yeah, hiking at night, then gym. No evenings home. Was supposed to go yesterday but you came over. So if you wanna visit, daytime only—I’ll be here.”
“Got it. Was thinking of swinging by tonight—would’ve been a bust. Thanks for the warning.”
“No one sniffed anything? Your dad?”
“Haven’t seen him. He’s in China since two days ago, back in a few. But the maids and bodyguards rat everything out.”
“All spies, huh.”
“Yeah. Sticking home today. No point going out without you. Tomorrow cool?”
“Yep, home till 5 p.m. always. Call first though—might head out. Morning hikes sometimes.”
“Okay, I’ll call daytime. That work?”
“Perfect. Hanging up then.”
“Oh, Yujin’s on a plane. Lands tomorrow. Not worried?”
“Eh, I’ll just fuck her and she’ll behave.”
“……You’re something else, Yaseong. Haha, you’ve got her number. Love that attitude. Never kowtow to girls, no matter who. Elite guys don’t. Losers do. Stay bold. But if Yujin hits you, just take it. Got it?”
“Got it. Haha, talk later.”
“Yeah. Call tomorrow.”
After hanging up, Han Yaseong hauled the groceries to the attic. Over 300,000 won worth—it filled the space. Planning a month’s stay this time. Missing yesterday meant two days here, about 300 days there. Yadong must be insanely strong now. He’d lord it up for a while, like before. Until the pecking order flipped again, anyway.
