Can I Make Him Mine?
The place the storm had swept through looked deceptively calm, yet the sticky feel of semen still clinging between my legs kept needling at my reason without rest.
Back home, after finishing my shower, I sat down at the desk in the study and switched on the monitor. I checked the to-do list and began working through the tickets piled up in the system infrastructure channel. Mostly the same mechanical confirmations over and over—progress on the global infrastructure we already shared, status checks on the Data Center systems.
My fingers flew across the keyboard, but my head was still full of Nayeon’s wet, sticky moans from when I’d been pounding her on the entryway floor just moments earlier, and Jieun’s suspicious eyes as she sniffed the air and said it smelled.
A little later and it would have been disaster. But the peripheral thrill of walking that tightrope right at the edge of ruin had already completely scrambled the dopamine circuitry in my brain.
Sometime past four in the afternoon, the tension finally drained out of me. I couldn’t fight the drowsiness that hit and leaned back in the chair for a quick nap. It was a heavy, leaden doze, like sleep paralysis. How long I was out, I couldn’t say. A dull vibration from my smartphone rattled the glass of the desk. Rubbing my eyes, I lit up the screen and saw a personal messenger notification instead of the company one.
It was Nayeon. I swallowed the dry taste in my mouth, picked up the phone, and hit the call button. She answered before the first ring even finished.
“Yeah, Nayeon.”
“Uncle……”
The voice coming through the receiver was unusually low. Maybe the aftershock of that violent sex in the entryway earlier still hadn’t faded; her voice trembled, just a little.
“Yeah. Something up?”
“Um, I…… well, I suddenly have to go up to Seoul tomorrow.”
My eyelids flickered. The timing was faster than I’d expected. University kids’ vacations were fluid by nature, sure, but hearing that the girl who’d been wailing under me only a few hours ago was suddenly leaving left a strange taste in my mouth.
“Already? I figured you’d head up around the weekend or next week. You’ve still got packing to do, don’t you?”
“Mom…… she called and said if nothing special’s going on, just come up right away.”
“Then there’s nothing for it. You’re going tomorrow?”
“Yes. Around lunchtime tomorrow.”
A quiet pressure settled into the fingertips holding the phone. The thought of sending Nayeon off to Seoul and not being able to handle that pliant body however I wanted for a while crossed my mind. Earlier, because of Jieun, I’d had to stop halfway through and pull out in a hurry; it left me feeling as foul and unfinished as if I’d been mid-piss and forced to cut it off.
Before she left for Seoul, I intended to violate her to my heart’s content right up until the moment she went, so that even after she got there her mind would be full of nothing but me. But my blacker intentions always hid behind meticulous calculation. Still holding the receiver, I dropped my voice a register and put on the tone of a gentle guardian.
“You’ve got a lot of stuff. Want me to drive you? Seoul’s a long way; it’ll be hard on you.”
“Oh, no! You’re busy with company work, Uncle. It’s fine. Really, it’s fine.”
Nayeon refused in a rush, waving it off. I wasn’t about to miss the unnatural edge in that refusal. Classic defensive reflex when someone was hiding something. I cast the line a little deeper.
“It’s fine. Anything I can do remotely from home, I’ll handle that way. I can make time. I’ll take you, so just tell me what time you’re leaving tomorrow.”
“Ah…… actually, Uncle……”
Nayeon hesitated, as if the words had stuck in her throat. Heavy, subdued breathing drifted through the receiver.
“Hm? What is it.”
“My boyfriend…… said he’s coming to pick me up.”
“……Ah.”
For a second it felt like all the blood drained out of my head at once; my mood turned foul.
I’d already told Nayeon she didn’t have to break up with her boyfriend. Real, uncomplicated romance—enjoy it lightly with that lightweight kid; that was the considerate front I’d put on, and the calculation to cover my own deception. But I was never that generous on the inside. Hearing with my own ears that she was getting into that bastard’s car sent an instinctive disgust crawling up. Even while my head kept repeating that it couldn’t be helped, the thought of another man’s hands possibly touching what was mine made possessiveness boil up hard.
“Using your mom as an excuse to go play somewhere with your boyfriend?”
“No! It’s not, Uncle, really. That’s the truth—we’re just taking the car straight home tomorrow. Honestly.”
Nayeon scrambled to explain, sounding scared. I answered in a cold tone.
“Fine. But I’ll be checking every day. I said you don’t have to break up, but you’re mine, so I’ll be managing you. From now on, if I say video call, we video call. If I say send a photo of what you’re doing, what you’re wearing, you show me. Got it?”
At the newly added, concrete demands for control, the shallow breathing on the other end of the line seemed to stop. Then Nayeon, realizing she couldn’t refuse, answered in a voice that sank submissively.
“……Yes. I’ll answer your calls properly.”
Even with the barrier of a boyfriend, the mental reins on Nayeon were still firmly in my grip.
“Finished packing?”
“I’m packing now. Just clothes and the things I’m taking, roughly……”
The conversation lapsed for a moment.
“By the way—Jieun didn’t say anything about earlier?”
At the casual question I tossed out, Nayeon hesitated again. This time the awkwardness and discomfort were far thicker than before.
“Actually……”
“Yeah, what. Tell me.”
“Jieun…… she seemed a little suspicious earlier.”
According to Nayeon, even after I’d opened the door and left, the unsettled air in the entryway hadn’t settled easily. Only after a long stretch of time had Nayeon finally crawled out of the master bathroom, her face far too flushed to explain away and her hair a mess. Sharp-eyed Jieun had picked up on that strange atmosphere in an instant.
Jieun had been about to lie down on the bed, then stopped, stared hard at the red-faced Nayeon with a meaningful look, and come closer.
“You can tell me, can’t you? What happened with Uncle? You’re acting really weird. Your face is all red.”
At Jieun’s bold interrogation, Nayeon’s heart had dropped and she’d waved it off.
“No, nothing like that. It’s just hot out, that’s all. Hot.”
“It’s really suspicious…… You two aren’t, like, that kind of thing, are you?”
Under Jieun’s persistent leading questions, Nayeon had denied it stubbornly. Then, after a short pause, Jieun had dropped something unexpected.
“Hey, then me……”
Sitting at the head of the bed and looking down at Nayeon, Jieun had spoken in a tone that was both bold and perfectly calm, laying out what was inside her.
“Then is it okay if I take Uncle as mine?”
“What?”
Nayeon could only be stunned by Jieun’s bombshell. No matter how playful the girl usually was, it wasn’t the kind of thing that should come from the same mouth that had just been suspecting something between Uncle and her. But Jieun’s expression wasn’t that of someone joking. She lowered her eyes sadly and told Nayeon,
“You know this, but my dad died when I was little and I grew up really lonely. Yesterday at the restaurant, when we were drinking, at the sundae-guk place earlier, at the café…… Uncle took care of me like a dad, and I kept thinking how nice it would be to have a dad like that. Is it okay if I go after him?”
Nayeon had felt her breath catch at that deceptive, melancholy confession. The same person who had taught her about men was now being eyed by her closest friend as “a dad-like adult”—this grotesque triangular setup. Nayeon had stammered and barely managed to dodge an answer.
“Uh…… that, isn’t that a bit……”
“Why? You’ve got a boyfriend. You said there’s nothing between you two. Then it shouldn’t matter if I go after him or not, right?”
“Still…… we should hear Uncle’s opinion too.”
“Don’t worry about that. I’ll handle everything myself.”
As Nayeon relayed the conversation with Jieun, she kept sighing into the phone. Whether she was worried about her friend approaching Uncle, or afraid of her own secret territory being invaded, her voice was thick with complicated unease.
The jealousy and anger that had been burning over the sudden news that Nayeon was leaving for Seoul—and in another man’s car, out of my territory—began, the moment I heard about Jieun’s bold declaration, to transform into an entirely different kind of lust. Inside my pants zipper, the lower half that had spent the whole morning indulging in Nayeon’s body stirred heavily again the instant Jieun’s name came up, lifting its head hard.
A kind, dad-like adult. A wealthy, reliable guardian. That deceptive shell Jieun had seen in me would, in fact, become the most lethal trap capable of swallowing her whole. And she had just declared she would walk into that trap herself.
On top of that, the timing was perfect. Tomorrow at lunch, once Nayeon left for Seoul in her boyfriend’s car, the studio apartment would have only Jieun left alone. An isolated domain with no one to interfere. And inside it, the naïve, tender twenty-year-old body that was craving the kindness of a dad-like adult.
