[Title: Explaining Dual Class (with 3-line summary)]
Lately, there've been a ton of newbie noobs drooling over Dual Class, so I figured I'd write a post about it.
This is for all you NEW noobs who wanna swing swords and cast magic at the same time.
Let me say this upfront.
(Frog glaring meme.)
Dual Class is fucking retarded.
What? I'm a mechanic-blacksmith Dual Class, though?
^^| Fucking noob, go make some money with your production job and play tycoon or whatever.
Go ride pipes to save princesses or craft mythic items—whatever, just fuck off.
What I'm talking about is Magic Swordsman. (Not even sure if that class path exists, tbh.)
Magic Swordsman... Sword in one hand, magic in the other, flames and lightning wrapped around the blade... Pretty badass, right?
In every game, Dual Class is straight-up broken, and since it's a rare job, that makes sense.
Even I was tempted early on, eyes rolling with greed.
But why do I call it retarded?
Explanation time starts now.
In this game's lore, you can't create a Circle and a Dantian (Mana Core) at the same time.
Someone gonna ask why? Go bug the devs, please.
I'm curious too, shit...
It's straight from the game instructors' lore.
If you have a Circle, you can't make a Dantian.
Vice versa, something about the circuit direction toward the heart blah blah.
Take 'Lupederion Style'—y'know, the imperial breathing method—as an example.
The second you learn that skill, no Circle skill creation possible.
Same deal if you head east and learn some secret technique or whatever.
So why's that a problem?
Simple: the proficiency on one side's skills barely fucking rises.
Go mage route, and your frontline skills level up like shit.
(82 lvl mage job with Basic Swordsmanship lvl 10 meme.)
(81 lvl warrior job with Fire Ball lvl 10 meme.)
Top one's a mage swinging a sword to grind proficiency, bottom's a swordsman casting Fire Ball to grind it.
Huh? How? Dual Class works? Nah.
Should've promoted to Intermediate Swordsmanship normally, but stuck at Basic Swordsmanship 10.
Should say 'Fire Magic' not Fire Ball. Like this...
(Fire Magic skill UI meme.)
82 lvl mage char using Basic Swordsmanship—gonna do shit damage?
81 lvl warrior casting Fire Ball—what's that even gonna do?
Sure, usable, but efficiency sucks ass.
Mages lack strength, warriors chug MP like crazy.
Useless? Totally...
But for those still itching to try, here's how.
You a mage? Equip a sword, tape down your left mouse button.
Set up a dummy, smack it for 600 hours, hits Basic Swordsmanship lvl 10.
Real time lol.
Dummy cost? Those tycoon-grinding production noobs—multibox 'em and beg for cash lol.
Or...
(Link to using black slime as dummy.)
Do this instead.
But Sir Black Slime insta-kills players after 5+ min aggro, so use a timer or whatever.
Now warriors' turn.
Think it's easy for you?
At lvl 80, Magic Tower Master quest opens, 100% Academy raid gives a skillbook.
'The Martial Artist Who Performed Miracles'—use it, unlocks 1 Circle mage spells.
But sell that book at shop for 2000 gold coins.
Black market? Multiplies that shit.
Anyway, gotta grind each 1 Circle spell yourself.
Mages learn fire magic, chain unlocks, right?
Warriors? One-by-one noob grind.
1 Circle skills, time sink city.
Get it now?
Better farm Essences or hunt hermits in the east.
Don't think no-job-change to 80 for hidden class.
Low floors = grunt work, but level lock stops you lol.
High floors? No-job deals zero damage.
3-line summary
Can't make Circle and Mana Core at same time.
Other job skills suck efficiency-wise
Dual Class is a pipe dream (production jobs excluded)
└ Appreciate the effort
└Follow raid guide? Wait, raid guide appreciation)
└ You just shattered my dream...
└└ Nah nah, saved you from wasting your life
└└ Protective! Thx thx
└└ Yeah, just have fun
└ Then wouldn't swordsman learning magic have higher ceiling?
└└ Mostly support concept, but yeah technically. Effort gets you varied magic anyway.
└ Magic Tower Master quest guide?
└└ (Link.)
└└ Thx thx
└└ Ah fuck spoiler. Why does the granddaughter die
└└? Even if I tell ya, you'd bitch
Something stirs in my heart.
A circle coiled up, spinning whirring away.
And I see...
The Magic Tower Master clutching her neck, eyes rolling back.
"P-People! Call people!"
Saw the Transmigrator title, so I knew it was huge.
But didn't expect her to grab her neck and faint like this.
I grabbed the Magic Tower Master's shoulders and shook hard.
"Grandma! Snap out of it!"
"Gurgle..."
F-Foam? This ain't good—I slung the Magic Tower Master over my shoulder and headed for the elevator.
"Fuck! What the... Grandma! Pull yourself together!"
Dome enclosed us as I hit the bottom button.
Should go to floor 1, right.
-Whirrr...
Elevator drops fine then stops dead midway.
Outside the glass dome: the woman who called me a sleazy dude, bundle in hand.
Adela, was it?
Doors open right in front of Adela.
She sees the foaming Magic Tower Master, hands trembling, glares daggers at me.
"Fuck... y-you, you sleazy bastard! Ugh, embarrassing! How hard did she shake her hips to pass out?!?"
...?
Her tone says she really thinks I'm a gigolo.
Magic Tower Master calls a gigolo to her private office?
Pissed from the urgent mess, I yelled at Adela.
"Shut up and get in if you're riding!"
"Hah? You sleazy fuck acting cocky..."
I kicked Adela in the gut hard, right between the doors.
-Pueok!
"Keheuk!"
-Splash!
Adela flies back.
Mash close button immediately.
"Cough! I'll... kill you!"
What a bitch...
Ignored her, went to floor 1.
Doors open, I yell—mages rush over in panic.
"Someone help! Doctor! Call a doctor!"
"M-Magic Tower Master! What the hell!!! Call a priest!"
"What happened!"
"Huh? Fainted?"
Mages moved fast.
Chant spell, make water blob, lay Magic Tower Master on it.
"Priest!"
"Coming soon!"
"Oh man... what happened?"
Pushing through the chaos, bespectacled slicked-back guy approaches me.
"Jang Ryu-o-ssi?"
"Yeah, how'd you know my name?"
Glasses guy whispers in my ear.
'Helped with the Labyrinth incident.'
"Ah, hi. Who might you be?"
"Deputy Magic Tower Master, Eldric Siron."
Eldric tilts head at Magic Tower Master...
"May I hear the circumstances?"
"Ah."
About to explain, words jam up.
Glance at skill window.
MP: 140/700, 30/580, 100/100 [LV.1 Circle]
New skill glaring. New MP bars.
'Looks like I wasn't satisfied with two Dantians and made a Circle too.'
How the fuck do I explain that.
Only wanna tell people I trust.
Brainstorming excuses, Eldric stares right through me.
"Hmm..."
Suspicious vibe.
But I was invited by Magic Tower Master— this cool?
I shoot Eldric a dirty look, annoyed.
"Are you suspecting me or something?"
Eldric makes oops face, bows apology.
"Sorry. Magic Tower Master hasn't fainted lately... Lost my head."
"I get it. Lift your head."
"Thanks..."
Then, sharp voice cuts off Eldric's apology, echoing.
"Hey! Gigolo! You dared kick me? I'll kill you!"
Adela storms up—nearly lost my shit.
"Obvious she collapsed! Tasted young dick and..."
Magic circle lights in her hand...
I charge, slam fist into her solar plexus.
"Breath... caught..."
-Swish!
"Huh?"
-Puuuueok!!!!!
"Gueeek!"
Can't even breathe, I stomp Adela's shoulder as she curls up.
-Puk!
Adela flies back again.
Flops down, gasping—I glare coldly.
"Ugh! Uweeek! Keok... cough!"
Adela puking. Gross as fuck.
"Worry about your collapsed grandma."
"Cough... you... f-fuc..."
I kick Adela's jaw to knock her out.
-Crack!
"..."
Rough day...
Mages behind me whisper-watching.
-Miss met her match today...
-That young guy? The one who took down the 10th floor Orc Hero...
-That's him? Damn... calling that guy a gigolo?
-Dunno~ Miss's fate just twisted.
-Priest over there! Hey~ Treat that one on the floor too.
Turn around: mages glancing at me...
'Smirking?'
Deputy Magic Tower Master covering a grin.
Didn't peg him for that personality, laughing now?
Sketchy, but maybe overthinking.
Makes sense—Adela's personality, feels good seeing her get it.
Still, should tip off grandma.
But how to snitch? 'Deputy smirked creepy when granddaughter got hit. Super creepy.'?
Hah, fuck... she'd believe him over me?
Whatever. Wanna see Master quick.
Priest tending Magic Tower Master nods.
"Rest a day, she'll wake. Mana Backflow hit, but she pulled through."
Mana Backflow—Qi Deviation in one word.
Not blood pressure—serious shit, I'm stunned.
Mages too.
"No way Magic Tower Master gets Mana Backflow... Huh?"
"What the?"
Mages stare at me.
I bullshitted an excuse.
"Uh, I damaged a book she cherishes."
"Huh? What book that'd make her..."
"'The Martial Artist Who Performed Miracles.'"
Mages' lips quiver, eyeing each other.
"Whoa, that tracks."
"That's 2000 gold..."
"Shh! Shh! Don't embarrass him..."
Their looks: like a kid who crashed a rental into a sports car.
No confidence watching her all day, I bolt outside.
"I'll come apologize soon! Sorry! Be back!"
"Huh? Y-Yeah! Come back for settlement... no, see Magic Tower Master off!"
"Yeah!"
Later... later...
Waiting for checkup, sun already set.
"Ah... Essence shop..."
Essence shop closes evenings for security.
Brought tons of gold for today—bummer.
'Might as well get compensated from Gongnyeo before I go.'
Run off stress.
Finally home after sprinting...
"Honey~♥"
Master beaming, acting all cutesy.
No walls at home anymore.
Day's fatigue melts, I smile.
Hug wide-armed Master back.
"Honey, I'll do better from now on..."
"Hm? Better'd be tough?♥ Heehee! Then practice that..."
Hand on my back freezes.
"Honey?"
"Baby? No way this is..."
Catch Master as legs give out.
She noticed.
Kept it calm as possible.
"I... got a Mana Circle."
Master stares blankly from my arms.
Mouth agape, then...
"Body... okay?"
"...Yeah."
"Good... hungry?"
"Yeah..."
"... Explain over food... haha... could happen. Hm..."
Master mutters with dead eyes.
Explanation over dinner.
Master spilling rice grains.
That night, sat Master on lap, fed her bites.
