Shin Sera (1)
The second scrim match continued.
This time, too, we held the advantage.
Especially by leveraging the early-game strength of the champion I'd handed to Sera.
Toxic Saliva (Q) - Toggle type. Consumes a small amount of mana to unleash stronger basic attacks. Each hit reduces the enemy's movement speed and magic resistance for a short time while inflicting sustained damage. This effect stacks up to 5 times.
Paralysis Cloud (W) - Creates a poison cloud in the target area, dealing escalating sustained damage to enemies inside. Enemies within the area have their passive skills disabled.
Fierce Venom Blood (E) - Passive. Increases your own magic resistance. Any attacker who damages you suffers slowed attack speed and sustained damage. Does not activate on attacks from long range.
Extreme Venom Injection (R) - Injects the target enemy with poison that deals extremely powerful sustained damage for a short time. The affected enemy suffers greatly reduced attack and movement speed, with the effect weakening over time.
Among all champions in Eternal Combat, the Venomous Dragonkin vied for top 1 or 2 in early-game power.
Its endless sustained poison damage could drag opponents through hell right from level 1. Trying to trade hits? The passive meant you'd hurt yourself too, and the Paralysis Cloud shut down their passives entirely.
Thanks to its sustained damage trait, its total output outstripped most other skills, earning it a notorious reputation as the most disgusting laning opponent.
Sera was exploiting those traits to shreds her enemy offlaner. The only problem was...
Ptooey.
The spit Sera launched hit the enemy offlaner's skin, which began melting away with a sizzling hiss.
It was just game visuals—no real flesh-melting agony—but it still hurt like hell. And the gruesome sight wrecked your mental game. The melted skin was a temporary effect that restored itself, but the chunked health didn't come back.
'Damn it...'
The enemy offlaner gritted their teeth and retreated toward their tower. Normally, after pushing that hard, you'd return for minion CS. But Sera didn't turn back—she chased the fleeing offlaner, spitting Toxic Saliva nonstop.
"Huh? Hey? Sera, no CS?"
Instead, Ha-young panicked, waiting for Sera before belatedly grabbing what she could. Sera ignored her, keeping up the chase while hurling spit at the enemy's back.
"Does it hurt, you bitch? Hurt?"
"Sera! Get back here—what are you doing? You're too far out!"
Sera charged right up to the enemy tower, prompting one of Brilliant's supports to portal in for a rescue.
"Fucking... bitches!"
Sera spat a gust of breath forward. A toxic cloud billowed out, blanketing the ground. The support, unable to punch through that brutally damaging Paralysis Cloud, could only click their tongue and fall back.
Lucky for Sera that she was on Venomous Dragonkin—if she'd chased that aggressively on anything else, the support's CC might've locked her down for a reversal gank.
Even Seon-ah listened to Ha-young and backed off sometimes, but Sera was straight-up ignoring her, spewing profanity mid-play.
This wasn't her at all. She barely talked, let alone cursed.
Why?

* Competitive Spirit has risen to a dangerous level. Teamwork drops significantly for a time.
The status window laid out Sera's situation plain as day.
Her Competitive Spirit was skyrocketing dangerously, while Teamwork had tanked to rock bottom. Even Yuna, super sensitive in games, never dropped this low.
No matter how weak Venomous Dragonkin got late-game, there was a clear difference between the carry farming CS and the support doing it.
Sera, the carry, needed to snag every creep she could—but her eyes were bloodshot with kill lust, ignoring CS entirely.
Early-game strength let her skimp on CS and still dominate, but...
Sera's reckless play didn't stop there.
"Guys, help me out. They're about to dive."
A magic circle bloomed at our first offlane tower in response to Yuna's call. From the portal scroll's glow emerged Sera—scales of green covering her arms and face.
"Phew, thanks, Sera... Huh? Sera?"
"......"
"Hey! What are you doing here? I called Ha-young and Eunjae!"
"I'm here, aren't I?"
"Damn it—thanks for coming, but you gotta know when to fight! Your CS is trash already!"
"Doesn't matter."
"...What?"
Sera exhaled a Paralysis Cloud ahead, then peppered the enemy with Toxic Saliva. Numbers disadvantage? She dove in anyway. Worse than Seon-ah.
"You idiot! Don't start fights like that! Damn it!"
Yuna cursed but joined the fray as Sera forced the engagement. Oh Sujin roamed in from the river for backup. Two homing missiles locked on Sera and Yuna, exploding on impact—blood sprayed from Sera, splashing Sujin too.
Sera's eyes blazed as she pursued Sujin, closing to point-blank.
"Carry crawling this far? Guess you can't even play right."
"Shut your mouth and die, bitch."
Green-scaled wings unfurled from Sera's back like arms, slashing forward with razor claws. They pierced Sujin, venom spreading—her body burned, even her mechanical arm corroding.
Sujin grimaced through the pain, firing lasers back, but Venomous Dragonkin out-traded the tinkerer. Sujin dropped first.
Meanwhile, Yuna—left 1v3 after Sera chased—fell soon after. Sera got caught by the pursuit squad and died too.
Respawned, Yuna exploded about Sera portaling down solo. Sera ignored her, fixating on smacking enemy champs over CS or jungle farming.
Not just poking—every hit came with thick curses, ignoring joins or camps. Like a solo queue kill-crazed troll.
Seon-ah and Yuna carried hard to compensate, and Venomous Dragonkin's baseline strength saved the game. We won a bitter victory.
Post-game, Yuna ripped into Sera.
"Hey, Shin Sera! What the hell was that all game? Solo queuing a scrim?!"
"What'd I do?"
"What'd you do? You ignored farming, chased enemies like a maniac—what?!"
"Yuna, drop it. Sera, conference room. Now."
"...Okay."
Yuna fumed but obeyed her coach, storming into the lounge. Guitar strums echoed—her way of cooling off.
I sat Sera in the conference room.
"Sera, what was all that?"
"What'd I do?"
"'What'd I do'? You here for solo queue? Scrim, and you ignore Captain Ha-young's calls? Vacation? Others can't cover for your chaos."
"......"
"Why play like that? Explain."
"...I have to kill them all."
"...What?"
I thought I'd misheard. Sera stared at the floor, mumbling—not really to me.
"Guys who look down on us, mock us... If you let them, it gets worse. Gotta crush them first... Kill them all, or they won't stop..."
What's wrong with her?
She looked off—obviously.
I sighed.
"You think that makes sense?"
"......"
"Sure, malicious. They wanted us to choke. Win the game and pay 'em back—not throw a tantrum and call it payback."
"......"
"Next game, back to LeBlanc. Obey Ha-young's calls. Do it again in game 3, you're in deep shit. Got it?"
"......"
"Answer me."
"...Yes."
But game 3? Sera was a disaster. No protests about restraining fights—just awful.

* All stats have sharply declined due to the player's personal issues.
Every metric had bottomed out.
Sera fed endlessly in game 3, racking meaningless deaths. We lost decisively.
Final score 2:1—our overall win. Beating academy gatekeeper Brilliant warranted celebration, but Sera's state was priority.
Something's wrong with her... Gotta figure out why.
Right on cue, that status window I'd tried ignoring dinged nonstop, flashing my phone green. Did others see it glowing too?
Contact: Sera's Aunt
(Flashing green—call recommended)
Ding dong ding dong.
Kid, I was gonna ask her about Sera anyway.
This is my call, not yours. Got it?!
I dialed Sera's aunt—the one from contract signing day.
