I want to live! Save me #2
I want to live! Save me #2
I've entered Queen Valtz Private Academy, which I'd only ever seen on a monitor.
“…It's fucking cool, fucking sophisticated.”
A wide, circular central hall with marble floors, a clean and tidy environment, and a refreshing atmosphere that naturally filled me with joy.
For someone like me, who attended a school where sawdust rustled on the floor, this was nothing short of a shock.
‘Could all private schools be like this? I've wasted half my life... No, even for a private school, this level of extravagance can't be real. This is a fantasy only possible in a game.’
-Ddiring. An announcement from the broadcasting room. All new students, please proceed to the auditorium on the second floor of Building B for the new student orientation. Once again...-
Ji-yoon, whose mind had been captivated by the school's interior, which could easily outshine any prestigious university, quickly headed to the auditorium after hearing the announcement.
‘With facilities this insane, wouldn't the new student welcoming ceremony be incredible too?’
In reality, I would have definitely skipped a new student orientation. There's no avoiding it once you've experienced the hell of a 70-year-old elder giving a shrill, hour-and-a-half-long lecture.
As the school was enormous, there were many staircases leading upwards.
‘Even the stairs here are so immaculate...’
From the perspective of an ordinary citizen, Queen Valtz Academy was a place that was both exciting and overwhelming.
Casually, I followed a group of students who seemed to be new students, and I saw a wide-open cushioned door.
Through the open door, the auditorium was visible.
“ ... ”
It was a continuous series of surprises.
The wooden pattern on the auditorium floor was a universal standard, so I didn't think much of it. But the four-story high ceiling and the theater-like seating on the second floor of the auditorium made my heart pound.
The auditorium at my old school had a ceiling height of 2.5 stories, and badminton shuttlecocks and volleyballs would get stuck, making it look unsightly. But here, the sheer size of the auditorium alone was awe-inspiring.
Clutching my pounding heart, I stood in an empty line on the outskirts.
Everyone was clearly a new student, but their appearances were far from neat uniforms.
Most students were confidently wearing casual clothes like outerwear or hoodies over their uniforms.
Since everyone was wearing unique casual clothes, I, in my knee-length skirt and uniform, ironically stood out.
‘The smell of perfume, the smell of cosmetics... the scent of women was overwhelming.’
Standing among hundreds of women, I felt a strange sensation. It felt like I had secretly snuck into a place I shouldn't be and was voyeuristically observing.
After accommodating new students for a while, the auditorium settled into a lull, and someone stepped onto the central podium. It was a stern-looking woman in her 60s, wearing a pure white suit.
“New students. Welcome, all. I am Gwak Gwi-rye, the chairwoman of Queen Valtz Academy.”
Her confident voice and clear pronunciation immediately brought to mind a successful career woman.
But her name was a bit old-fashioned.
“Our Queen Valtz Academy is a private institution established with the purpose of nurturing outstanding ladies with refinement and etiquette...”
Since it was an explanation that appeared early in the game, it was boring. Fortunately, she wasn't an old fogey who got carried away with her own lecture, so she cleanly ended the speech in less than five minutes.
After the short lecture, they were told to go straight to their assigned classes, which made the new student orientation feel strongly like a mere formality.
As I exited the auditorium in line, a large man in a gym uniform gave instructions to the students.
“First-year students should go to Building A.”
““Yes!””
The new students answered energetically. I followed them.
On the bulletin board in Building A, class assignments from 1 to 10, meaning names, were written. Shoved and jostled among the herd of women, I finally found my name.
‘Class 3... This is the class that's the main setting of the game. Should I run away now?’
No, I've come all this way; it would be a shame to give up already. In fact, attending school for about a day wouldn't be a problem.
Queen Valtz Academy allows students to choose their desired classes, just like a university, in addition to the assigned basic courses.
In the game, the heroine routes that can be pursued differ depending on the chosen department. But that's not what I'm actually focusing on.
‘What an opportunity to learn new things in such excellent facilities!’
I'm not particularly studious, but if it's a chance to be educated in an otherworldly fantasy school, even someone who hasn't read a single book in their life would surely be as excited as I am.
‘Plus, unlike in the game, there's no System forcing limited choices!’
If there's something dangerous, I just need to avoid it.
Somehow, the more I thought about it, the more foolish I felt for worrying.
While I was chastising myself, I passed a flower garden and arrived at the Class 3 classroom. The classroom door was unusually a seven-fold accordion door.
-Deureureuk-
The door opened smoothly.
The classroom doors from my student days were wooden doors that made a grating sound... How could everything here be so uniquely different?
Back when they were wooden doors, once, it wouldn't open no matter what, so I put my whole body weight into it and ended up getting my finger caught.
‘Damn wooden door. Even after telling the teacher, they didn't fix it for over half a year...’
The classroom interior was a tiered lecture hall, like those in a university. Of course, even for a tiered classroom, it was a much more compact and tidy version than a university's.
‘I don't know who designed it, but it doesn't feel small; it feels cozy.’
I could even sleep here.
Seriously.
I walked to the very back seat of the classroom, glancing at the students around me.
The name of the girl sitting in the corner was ‘Chae-a’.
Fierce-looking sabaekan eyes. She wore a baggy hoodie over her uniform, but her enormous F-cup presence couldn't be hidden. Her right ear was clean, while her left ear had seven earrings. Perhaps because she always wore a mask that covered half her face, her exact bare face couldn't be seen.
However, in the game trailer, her mask-less appearance briefly showed Chae-a in a revealing mesh outfit, sticking out her tongue as if teasing someone. Her tongue had a bead-like piercing.
She thoroughly hides herself, at least at school.
‘She clearly covered her face, but her real-life appearance is insane... I'm so curious about her bare face.’
Currently, the most noticeable person in the classroom was Im Yu-na in Goseu-jok fashion.
She wasn't as neat as I was, but while everyone else wore their uniforms as a base, Im Yu-na was completely decked out in Goseu-jok fashion.
Her deep, almost mesmerizing pupils and pale skin exuded a captivating aura and decadent beauty. With long hair reaching her waist and a full E-cup, she had black eye makeup, dark black stockings, black nail polish, and various accessories.
Im Yu-na is a severe chuunibyou patient who genuinely believes herself to be a dark noble lady.
‘Regardless of whether she's a yandere or not, she's definitely a psycho, so I must avoid her at all costs.’
Besides them, heroines who appeared in the story entered the classroom one by one.
‘...I deliberately sat in a corner, but there are quite a few eyes looking this way... Let's not make eye contact.’
Ji-yoon is an intelligent beauty with a sharp nose and glass-like eyes. It's unavoidable for eyes to be drawn to a beautiful woman, even for other women. In fact, because they are also women, they often stare much more openly than men.
Having nowhere to look, I idly fiddled with my phone.
‘After school, I should go to a nearby supermarket, buy a thick mat and a blanket, and stock up on instant rice.’
At first, I averted my gaze, feeling awkward under their stares, but before I knew it, I was seriously jotting down a shopping list for the supermarket.
Perhaps that's why I didn't realize someone had sat down next to me.
As I was typing with my thumb, a small face suddenly popped out and blocked my phone.
“Hi, I'm Ha-yoon.”
“W-Woop! Squeak!”
“Hehe, your surprised face is cute.”
She popped out suddenly, startling me.
“What's your name?”
She asked my name with sparkling eyes.
“…S-Surely not the real Ha-yoon?”
“Yep, that's right, my name is Ha-yoon.”
A small face with round, large eyes, a delicate and cute appearance. A petite stature, a head shorter than her peers.
Ha-yoon is the protagonist of Queen Valtz Academy.
In other words, she's the game's Player Character.
“…My name is Ji-yoon.”
“So you're Ji-yoon! Your name is pretty too.”
“Your name, Ha-yoon, is cute just like you.”
“Hehe, can I sit next to you?”
“ ...Sure.”
The protagonist character, Ha-yoon, was certainly not a Crazy Psycho Lesbian. However, considering her future, she was more dangerous than anyone else.
In the trailer, I saw scenes of her confined in a basement with her limbs dismembered, and rivals being slaughtered and fed to Ha-yoon. I'd seen many such insane scenes.
‘Wait, did I become a penis? ...No, it's only the early stages; there's no way I'd be obsessed with Ha-yoon already.’
For now, talking to Ha-yoon should be fine.
Aside from the danger, there was something I learned through the game, even if it was only for an hour: the character Ha-yoon is very trusting of others and lacks a proper understanding of romance.
This is probably a big reason why the heroines easily fall for Ha-yoon and get jealous so quickly.
‘The more relationships she forms, the more obsessive they become...’
Perhaps if I take Ha-yoon and run away before time passes, this world might become safe?
‘...No, I don't even properly know the game's story. I don't want to act rashly and die. I'm just an outsider who's only attending school for today.’
Time passed. As the commotion of finding seats subsided and an awkward silence settled, the sound of footsteps approached.
-Deureureuk-
A charismatic woman entered the classroom.
She surveyed the entire classroom once, then calmly opened her mouth.
“I am Kang Min-kyung, the homeroom teacher responsible for Class 1-3 and the instructor in charge of the Ballet Department.”
No matter how much I want to experience new things, I will absolutely not take a ballet class.
“As students admitted to Queen Valtz, there shouldn't be any idiots who can't find their class, but for procedural purposes, I will call attendance. Raise your hand when you hear your name. Kang Ye-ra, Kim So-yoon, Kim Yu-rim...”
Overwhelmed by the homeroom teacher's presence, the students quietly raised their hands when their names were called.
Names were called in order, and I was just about to get ready to raise my hand.
-Deureureuk-
“Ah—it's already started. I apologize. I was a bit late because I was looking around the school.”
Someone swaggered in with a nonchalant attitude.
‘A blonde, tanned delinquent?!’
Her identity was Tae-i, the delinquent famous as the ‘Pussy Murderer’.
‘I don't know why she's called the Pussy Murderer, but... she's a woman I absolutely must avoid.’
“…Haa. Go sit down, are you Tae-i?”
‘That charismatic teacher just sighed... She's even more formidable than in the game.’
The teacher had frowned considerably earlier when Tae-i's name was called and there was no answer.
“This is my first and last warning. As long as you are a student of Queen Valtz, you will strictly adhere to schedules.”
“Y-es~”
Tae-i, who answered casually, perched herself on the nearest front seat.
‘A typical delinquent would have sat as far back as possible... She truly doesn't give a shit about what others think.’
At that level, she's probably a delinquent even among delinquents.
“Since it's the first day, we're only taking course applications. Pass it back.”
Homeroom teacher Kang Min-kyung handed a stack of scrap paper to Tae-i.
“Just fill this out and you can go home. Any other questions?”
“Um, the cafeteria's location...”
“Surely you haven't grasped the school's basic facilities yet? Next question.”
““ ... ””
Contrary to her image as a workaholic career woman, Kang Min-kyung clearly showed signs of being annoyed by the students.
The student who had raised their hand to ask a question sadly lowered it. The atmosphere quieted for a moment but quickly became noisy again with talk about departments.
Classes that all students take in common, rather than elective departments, are subjects like math, Korean language, physical education, and liberal arts/current affairs—all boring just to hear about.
‘By the way, will the types of elective courses be the same as in the game?’
-Ddiring-
The moment I received the scrap paper passed back by the person in front, filled with anticipation, a strange sound was heard.
After the sound, a gear-shaped hologram appeared before my eyes, displaying text one by one.
[Reached a major choice. The game automatically saves.]
‘W-What is it..’
