Chapter 371: Taken Home by Sister Bai~
"This... isn't really a good idea..."
Bai Yu said, looking quite conflicted.
"Why not?" Logically speaking, this shouldn't have been a difficult request.
"I have roommates back at my place. If I bring you back... I’m afraid they’ll gossip." Ultimately, unable to find a better excuse to decline, Bai Yu had no choice but to use those girls back at the dorm as a shield.
"But..." I could hear the hesitation in Sister Bai's voice. If she truly wanted to, her roommates wouldn't be an obstacle at all. "It’s just for one night’s sleep, just like that night you stayed with me, Sister Bai..."
"But still..."
"Sister Bai, you’re a Transcendent Witch now... Even if your roommates wanted to gossip, you wouldn't be able to hear them anyway. And even if you go back for a few days, you won't be living there much longer." I stepped closer to her side, then lowered my voice to a tiny whisper. "Sister Bai, stop using your innocent roommates as an excuse..."
Under my repeated persuasion, Sister Bai finally let out a sigh of relief and granted my request.
"Alright."
"Yay!"
Hearing her finally agree, a surge of joy bubbled up inside me. I didn't even know why something like this made me so happy. Could it be that, deep down, I actually hoped something would happen between us once we got back?
Actually... that wouldn't be so bad~
But there was no way I could say that openly to Sister Bai. After all, everything needs to happen step by step. Didn't we just see how she completely lost her nerve halfway through pinning me against the wall?
So... Sister Bai is still a bit too sensitive.
Since it was already very late, Sister Bai flew us back directly on her broom. It was only then that I realized where she lived. My place was over at No. 62 Block 2 Xinmengli; though I didn't know exactly where this was, I didn't go out of my way to check. Regardless... in many senses, this would be the last time I’d visit this place.
The villa Sister Bai lived in was very similar in layout to mine—there were some differences, but they weren't major.
Even though it was late, the villa was brightly lit. Judging by the flashing colored LED strips, it looked like the people inside were... throwing a party?
"Uh... do your roommates always play this hard so late at night?" I looked at Sister Bai, my face full of confusion.
Compared to this, my own eccentric roommates suddenly seemed much more agreeable. At least they didn't throw parties at this hour.
"They heard I promoted to a Transcendent Witch and insisted on throwing a party for me in the dorm. I told them it wasn't necessary, but they wouldn't take no for an answer. They just wanted an excuse to have a party; it seems they’ve been going at it even without me there." A trace of helplessness appeared on Bai Yu's face.
"Well... I think I see why you didn't want me to come." I sighed along with her.
Just then, a window on the upper floor of the villa slid open. A figure leaned out as if she’d sensed someone arriving. Upon seeing Bai Yu, she got so excited she practically hung half her body out the window.
I was honestly a bit worried she might fall.
"Little~ Bai~ You're back~!"
As the girl called out with a voice full of pleasant surprise, Sister Bai instinctively covered her eyes with one hand, as if she couldn't bear to look.
"Little Bai?" I looked at Sister Bai, stifling a laugh. So that’s what people usually called her?
"Xiao Han, don't copy them," Bai Yu whispered to me, looking slightly embarrassed.
"Okay~ Little Bai Sister~" I said, giggling behind my hand.
It wasn't long before the front door of the villa swung open.
"Boss Bai~! Where have you been all day—wait? Who’s this little junior? Hiss—!" Another girl came running out, calling her "Boss Bai" with the air of someone eager to suck up to a superior. It wasn't until she reached us that she noticed my presence.
She froze the moment she saw me. After sizing me up for a second, she sucked in a sharp breath.
"Holy sh*t! The iron-straight girl has switched sides!" She blurted out a curse, and before she could even perform the "sliding kneel" she seemed to have planned, she spun around and bolted back inside as if she’d witnessed something world-shaking.
"Little Bai’s finally seen the light! She brought a little junior back to the villa!" As she went screaming back inside, she collided head-on with the girl who had just been greeting us from the window.
"Um... is the mental state of senior sisters always like this?" I tugged on Sister Bai's sleeve, hardly able to believe their behavior.
In them, I saw a gaze that was "clear and clueless"—not just in spirit, but in action as well.
"How humiliating... Xiao Han, just ignore them. How about I take you back to—"
"No. I’m already here, how can we stop halfway? Besides, I’m exhausted, Sister Bai. You wouldn't want me to pass out from fatigue on the way back, would you?" As I spoke, I leaned weakly against her side.
"Fine, fine..." Helpless, Sister Bai took my hand and prepared to lead me inside.
"Sister Bai... honestly, what kind of image do you have in their eyes? The fact that you brought me back actually terrified them that much?"
"Sigh... that’s a bit difficult to explain." Sister Bai massaged her temples again, unsure how to put it into words. Was she supposed to tell her that before the start of this semester, she had been a staunch heterosexual?
At this moment, she suddenly felt a sense of release. She seemed to finally understand... the appeal of girls. Especially after promoting to a Transcendent Witch, that last lingering attachment to men in the depths of her heart had completely vanished.
Simultaneously, a strange ambition began to slowly take root within her.
It was the natural downward gaze of a Transcendent lifeform toward a non-Transcendent one.
She suddenly understood why those Transcendent Witch mentors didn't care about the opinions of the students at the academy. It was simple: the gap between them was even more vast than that between a capitalist and the exploited.
But looking back at Xiao Han now, Bai Yu realized her feelings for the girl seemed to be undergoing another qualitative change.
Her logic told her that she was now Transcendent, standing above this world. Facing her former environment, she should act more assertively. She should take what she liked in the most direct way possible, and no one would dare say a word. She could have Xiao Han—the girl she wanted to protect forever—in the simplest, most direct manner. She even felt that if she took Xiao Han’s body, the girl wouldn't resist at all. In fact, Xiao Han’s hints were already incredibly obvious...
But her emotions told her she couldn't do that. If she did, she would never forgive herself. What would that make Xiao Han?
An object to be acquired at will?
Absolutely not. She couldn't cross that line in her own heart.
"Sister Bai~ Sister Bai, what’s wrong?"
I tugged at her sleeve, noticing her dazed expression, and gave her a nudge.
"Hmm? Oh, it’s nothing. Let’s go in." Bai Yu snapped out of it and quickly ushered me inside.
Once we entered, Sister Bai's roommates went absolutely wild.
They called out to the others like they were summoning a pack. Several of them leaned over the second-floor railing to peer down. One could see both envy and a sense of distance in their eyes; they knew that from this day forward, they belonged to two different worlds, and their paths would likely never cross again.
"It really is a little junior... what a unique one, she’s even white-haired..."
"Shouldn't we be more shocked that Little Bai actually brought a girl home?"
"It’s Boss Bai’s last night; can’t she enjoy herself? I bet she was just faking it before. Now that her true nature is exposed, she’s too lazy to pretend anymore (whispering)."
Though they spoke in hushed tones, I was certain Sister Bai heard them. After all, even I—with my self-awakened Body Cultivation but no professional Five Senses training—could hear them clearly. How could Sister Bai miss it?
However, she didn't seem to have any intention of explaining herself.
"Hello, senior sisters. Sorry to disturb you all tonight. I hope I’m not being a bother."
"Oh, don't be so polite, little junior~! No bother at all! My, what a cute junior. Boss Bai really is the type to stay quiet until she strikes, but when she does, she picks a stunner~"
"Exactly! Little junior, Boss Bai is a Transcendent Witch now. You’d better make the most of this night~"
"Thank you for the reminder, senior sisters. I only begged Sister Bai to bring me back because I knew it was her last night here," I replied politely to the senior sister.
"You knew... Oh my god, Boss Bai... be honest with us, how long have you had your hands on this little junior?"
"Actually, Sister Bai was the one who brought me to the Witch Academy in the first place. She was even the one who helped inject my very first Mana Source," I chimed in before Sister Bai could even open her mouth.
"Ohhh~? ↗↘↗↘"
Hearing my blatant implications, the group of senior sisters began to hoot and holler as if they’d discovered some scandalous secret.
Bai Yu looked at me helplessly, her eyes saying, Look at what you’ve done, but she couldn't bring herself to actually scold me. Instead, she vented her frustration on her unreliable roommates.
"Alright! That’s enough! It’s late, aren't you all going to sleep?!"
"Sleep? We still need to sleep?"
"Stupid, she means Boss Bai needs to sleep! Don't you understand what 'setting the mood' means?"
"Got it, got it~ We’ll be quiet and head back to our rooms now."
"Oh my~ Yawn~ I’m getting sleepy too. I’m heading back."
I watched as the girls scattered like startled birds, leaving only the two of us standing there.
"Xiao Han, are you satisfied now?" Bai Yu asked, exasperated.
"Mhm. Sister Bai, it’s late and they’ve stopped making a fuss, so it’s the perfect time to rest~" I grabbed one of her arms, clinging to her affectionately. "How about... a shower first? We played in so many places today, we should get cleaned up~"
"A shower?"
"Yeah, aren't you going to wash up, Sister Bai? Oh... I almost forgot. Sister Bai, I have new clothes, but I don't have a bath towel or anything... Do you have an extra? Even a used one is fine."
"That... I don't think I have any new ones left..."
"I don't mind if it’s used~"
Meanwhile, the roommates hiding in their rooms were pressed against their doors, eavesdropping on everything.
"Hey, hey~ did you hear that? They really are in that kind of relationship!"
In the dormitory group chat that didn't include Bai Yu, they were firing off messages to share the gossip. Once the first person spoke up, everyone else chimed in with perfect synchronization.
"Tell us what they said! I’m too far away, I can’t hear a thing!"
"The suspense is killing me!"
"Hold on, I’m listening."
"Sounds like they’re going to shower. Wow... they’re even sharing a towel!"
"Wait, did I hear them say they’re going to do it in the bathroom?"
"Really? I think so. They’re going that far?"
"Don't say another word. We’re just a part of their 'play'..."
"Wait, the sound stopped. No way?"
"What happened? What happened?"
"Sounds like an Isolation Spell..."
In the group chat, messages flooded the screen. In the entire villa, it seemed Bai Yu was the only one who didn't know exactly what was happening.
The villa appeared quiet, but no one knew the group chat was burning up with excitement.
Even if an Isolation Spell kept them from knowing what was happening outside, it couldn't stop their vivid imaginations.
At that moment, I was getting ready to shower, holding the bathrobe Sister Bai had used. I had originally planned to invite her to shower together—it would have been faster and more convenient, and I could have shown her how well I’d mastered the daily life common sense she’d taught me. What a shame.
Before long, the bathroom door opened, and warm steam drifted out. Wrapped in the bathrobe, I cautiously walked into Sister Bai's bedroom.
"Sister Bai, I’m all done~"
"Mhm..." Bai Yu looked at me. I was still radiating the warmth of the shower, and that unique scent belonging to a girl began to permeate the room. Especially as I drew closer, Bai Yu could smell it even more clearly.
The scent entered her nose, seemingly stimulating every cell in her body, whispering a desire to possess her...
"Aren't you going to wash up, Sister Bai?"
"No... I’m fine. I have spells for that. Usually... I don't take physical showers."
"Alright then~" I didn't push it. Instead, I started changing into the pajamas Sister Bai had bought for me right in front of her.
Don't ask why she bought pajamas. As I said before, she’d bought everything she thought I might or might not need, and that naturally included pajamas.
As the bathrobe slid off my body and pooled on the floor, even though my back was turned to her, she instinctively closed her eyes.
Even after becoming a Transcendent, Bai Yu felt she still couldn't handle this kind of stimulation...
"Done~" Before long, my voice came again. I was now dressed in a cat-themed onesie.
"Meow~ Sister Bai, do you like these pajamas?"
"I... I like them," Bai Yu blurted out instinctively, realizing too late what she’d said.
"Then, Sister Bai, it’s time to get into bed~" I took her hand and plopped down on her bed. I had to admit, it was about as comfortable as mine, but this bed had the added bonus of being the one Sister Bai slept in.
I pulled back a corner of the duvet and beckoned to her with a finger, a mysterious smile playing on my lips.
"Time for bed, Sister Bai~ You promised we’d sleep together~"
