Pheromone Monster
The pounding EDM beat slammed straight into my chest.
The moment I stepped into the club, I felt countless eyes lock onto me. Most of them belonged to women. Once the women started staring, the men got curious and looked too — though their faces said they had no idea what the fuss was about. I was dressed completely ordinary, after all.
Park Su-ho, who'd tagged along, hovered awkwardly, clearly overwhelmed. He wasn't the type who hit clubs often.
"Park Su-ho. If women offer you drinks, don't just take them."
"…Because they might spike them?"
"No. Because you can't hold your liquor for shit."
"Come on. I'm not that bad, hyung. And if it comes down to it, I can just burn the alcohol off with mana."
"Sure."
I was already bored enough to give him a half-assed answer.
Once you got properly drunk, even C-Class hunters and above hated using mana to sober up. That was one of the reasons hunters who could handle mana still ended up blackout drunk.
I walked over to a table and claimed a seat, scanning the room with a hawk's eye. Nothing much caught my interest.
Would've been nicer if we'd scored a VIP room.
It was Friday, and the place was packed solid. We'd been lucky just to get this table.
"Y-Yujin hyung. You're really popular tonight. The women keep staring only at you."
"Everyone has a few good days. Guess this is one of mine."
Women started drifting toward our table. I frowned. Ugly bitches. They looked decent enough at a glance, but they couldn't fool my eyes. All makeup. Bodies weren't anything special either.
When one group left, another took their place.
This was a club — packed with horny young men and women. The Pheromone Burst Perfume was calling every woman in the building.
This one's not bad… No. I can't settle for this. There have to be prettier ones.
Turning them all down was becoming a full-time job.
I stood up from the table. Better to get up on the dance floor and hunt myself.
"Park Su-ho. I'm gonna go dance. You good?"
"Ah, go ahead. I'll just drink for a bit."
Park Su-ho drained his beer with a freshly miserable look on his face. Over twenty women had approached our table so far, and not a single one had shown the slightest interest in him. Reality had finally hit, and he was spiraling.
I abandoned him and climbed onto the stage, shaking my body to the beat. I wasn't even doing anything special — just dancing — and women still flocked around me. None of them recognized my face.
Haven't been in front of cameras much lately, so nobody knows who I am.
I'd never been that famous with the general public anyway. My reputation lived mostly in the hunter world.
"Here alone?"
A woman approached. She'd undone the top buttons of her blouse, deliberately flashing cleavage and bra. An ordinary guy would've been all over her in a second. I wasn't ordinary.
Ugly bitch riding pure makeup. A-cups stuffed to hell and back just to fake a B.
I put some distance between us.
"I'm here with a friend. Just came to dance."
"Hmm. That so? Wonder how well you dance…"
She closed in, trying for skinship. I stepped back fast.
"Crazy bitch. You reek of skate fish. Get the fuck away from me!"
"What? You crazy bastard! What the hell did you just say?!"
"Your pussy stinks of skate fish all the way over here! You fucking whore!!"
I bellowed it at full volume.
Eyes swung our way — more on her than on me. Her face went scarlet. She chewed her lip, then spun around and fled.
"S-sir. Could you step over this way for a moment?"
The guards approached. I didn't feel like ruining the night, so I followed them without a fuss.
In a quiet corner, three guards faced me, scowling. I smirked and let my presence rise.
"Sir, you can't behave like that in the establishm—"
Thud.
All three hit their knees at almost the same time. Overwhelmed by my aura, they trembled, sweat pouring down their foreheads.
I layered killing intent on top and simply watched them. Club guards were hunters too — but most of them were F-Rank trash barely worthy of the title.
"P-please, stop…"
I seized the space with mana. Breathing became a struggle; they started choking. Only after I saw them wet their pants did I pull my presence back.
"Anything else you wanted to say?"
"…N-no, sir."
I turned my head. An employee was watching from a distance, face tight with tension. Not a regular staffer — security chief, by the look of him.
"As you can see, these guys suddenly pissed themselves. Clean them up."
"……You're an A-Class hunter. Our guards were out of line. As an apology… allow us to escort you to a VVIP room."
"VVIP room? Those exist?"
"A space reserved for special guests."
The second I heard it, the whole thing reeked. I was a little curious, but I shook my head. This was the real world. I had no interest in getting tangled in anything annoying.
"I came here to have fun. I won't cause trouble, so stay out of my way."
"Understood."
I brushed past him and climbed back onto the stage, savoring the sticky gazes of women who wouldn't leave me alone.
One of them stood out. Brown hair swinging, completely lost in the music. Pretty face, outstanding body. I moved in.
"You dance well."
Our eyes met. She looked me over and gave a sly little smile.
"So do you."
There was pride in her voice — the kind that came from knowing exactly how much prettier she was than everyone else.
Is the perfume not working on her?
I closed the gap until our clothes brushed. She didn't retreat. A smile curved her lips.
"Come here often?"
"Now and then. For a change of pace."
"Change of pace? Something wrong?"
"My boyfriend's been driving me crazy."
"You've got a boyfriend and you're still doing this?"
"No reason I shouldn't."
Before I knew it we were dancing in sync, bodies grazing, sweat and breath mixing. The way she looked at me burned. The pheromone perfume was doing its job just fine.
"Jea-ssi, want to step outside and cool off for a bit?"
"…Sure."
We left the club. Doing it in a club bathroom was pure insanity.
I pulled out my phone to check for nearby motels, but Jea grabbed my wrist and tugged.
"This way."
The outdoor parking lot.
She pulled me into a black SUV and started stripping immediately. Even her panties were soaked through.
"Aaaah! Ahn!"
The car rocked for nearly an hour.
I ended up sleeping with five women total.
In a car, in a motel, behind a building. The one behind the building had the best thrill. Once they'd worked off their lust, we parted cleanly. They'd come to the club for one-night stands in the first place.
Eight in the morning.
I hauled a blackout-drunk Park Su-ho out of the club. Too lazy to take him all the way home, I dumped him in a random motel.
This bastard got cleaned out.
He had nothing on him. Wallet gone, phone gone — even his left shoe.
Not my problem.
After demolishing a solid bowl of gukbap at a nearby restaurant, I still felt unsatisfied.
This isn't nearly enough. I want to play more…!
It was almost nine. Every club in the city would be shutting down soon.
I thought it over, then stepped into a public restroom and opened the Leisure Life app.
Available Points: 105
I spent five points and changed my face.
To Kyle's face, from the Baekhwan world.
As expected of a novel protagonist. Damn handsome.
A face straight out of a noble young master's portrait. With the new look in place, I pulled a Spatial Transfer Scroll from my inventory.
Destination: New York.
The time difference between Korea and New York was fourteen hours. Meaning right now, New York was still Friday evening — seven o'clock. Perfect prime time for fun.
Riiip.
I tore the scroll.
Let's go! Fuck America!
Before charging into a strip club, I stopped by a bar that looked like it had been around forever. American movies and dramas always had places like this, and I'd been curious.
The bartender was a gruff-looking man. I ordered a beer and quietly took in the atmosphere.
Friday night — the place was packed. And in the corner, one woman caught my eye. Depression rolled off her in waves.
Brown coat. Long straight blonde hair.
I raised a hand and called the bartender.
"Master! One Sex on the Beach for that lovely lady over there!"
"……."
The bartender looked at me like I was insane. I met his stare with a completely serious face.
He stroked his beard once and sighed.
"Best not to mess with her. I'm saying this for your own good."
"What, someone's gonna kill me if I do?"
"…Maybe."
"I'm pretty confident in my skills. Give me the Sex on the Beach. I'll deliver it myself."
"…I warned you."
The bartender whipped up a cocktail in no time. His technique, at least, was excellent.
I carried the drink over to the blonde beauty and slid the Sex on the Beach onto her table.
"On me."
"……."
She looked up at me.
I grinned.
Right now I was a pheromone monster. I was confident I could conquer any woman alive.
"Thanks for the cocktail. But I'll just take the thought."
"Oh dear. Taking my heart already… Now I want yours in return."
"…I hate to say this, but you seem like a real idiot."
"Haha. I hear that a lot."
"I'm almost jealous of that shamelessness."
"Oh, damn. What time is it? Where did I put my watch…"
"There's a digital clock on the wall. Seven-twenty."
"I don't trust digital clocks. Ah. Here it is. My hundred-thousand-dollar wristwatch…"
I pulled the watch from my pocket and fastened it on my left wrist — the classic flex for flashing wealth. Most women would have taken the bait on sight.
"Ha…. Are you actually okay in the head?"
"…This really is a hundred-thousand-dollar watch."
"I know. Limited edition from earlier this year."
"……You know your stuff."
The wealth flex had completely failed.
She was clearly rich herself. Feeling awkward, I fiddled with the watch and scrambled for the next approach. If I could just reel her in naturally with the pheromone perfume…
"Ahem. My name is Kyle. I just arrived in New York… hey?"
Her gaze had drifted past me to the TV on the wall. On screen stood a white man in a suit — blonde hair, cleft chin, somewhere in his sixties.
A familiar face. I ran the name through my head and it clicked.
"Oh. That's Dick Pussy, the guy who became US president three months ago."
"Dick Pussy? His name is Juji Boshi."
Her voice had an edge to it.
"My apologies. But how can a person's name be Juji Boshi?"
