I Couldn't Hold Back Any Longer
I couldn't stand it any longer. Like I was possessed, I slammed the gacha button.

When you open the page this bookmark is placed on, you return to the exact moment it was inserted. Masterpiece Intrusion ability is unaffected.
Caution: If the bookmark is removed from the book or damaged before the book is opened, the effect is nullified.
"Insane!" An absolutely broken item right from the start. Turning back time? This was basically a regression ticket. I picked up the bookmark that had fallen onto the bed and carefully tucked it into a drawer.
Indestructible. 10m
"This one's trash." I tossed the long coil of rope onto the floor and drew again.
Stores items in subspace. The weight of stored items is added to your body weight. Spiritual entities cannot be stored.
"Inventory! Subspace! ...M-Type?" It was basically a weight-restricted inventory. I had no idea what the M stood for. Probably the weight limit would decrease or disappear as the level went up.
"Normally these kinds of abilities are handed out for free, but a weight limit on top of it feels pretty cheap."
Shaking off the disappointment, I stored the bookmark, the rope, and my bag inside the inventory. I could definitely feel my body weight increase a little, but because it was distributed evenly across my whole frame, it seemed like I could still carry some surprisingly heavy stuff.
When I thought about taking the bookmark back out, it instantly appeared in my hand.
"This is actually pretty fun."
If I just did magic shows—summoning and vanishing objects—I could probably make a living at it. As my mind drifted to the future, I started worrying about how exactly I should use the bookmark.
A one-time item that let me set a single regression point. When was the best moment to place it, and when should I open the book? Sticking it in some random book right now and storing it in the inventory seemed safest... but if I did that, an emergency might force me to rewind too far and create a massive headache. On the other hand, if I placed it too late I might accidentally skip some critical moment without realizing it.
"Screw it, whatever."
I opened up a diary I'd bought ages ago and never once written in, slipped the bookmark between the pages, then taped the whole thing shut so it couldn't be opened by accident before storing it in the inventory.
"Maybe I should've drawn more and raised my stats first... Even with only three pulls, I still got an inventory and a one-use regression ticket."
I needed to keep pulling. Caught in that powerful urge, I checked my Masterpiece Intrusion status.

There was nothing else to think about. I dove straight in.
It was a farm somewhere in June. Harvest season was nearly upon them, yet the grass in the fields still stood lush and rigid. No workers could be seen laboring under the sun. Several livestock that looked underfed and scrawny burst out of the barn, smashed through the door of a building with letters painted on it, and rushed inside. Hearing the commotion, a few men stormed out of the two-story house carrying whips and headed toward the building the animals had entered.
While watching the chaotic scene unfold, I sprinted into the two-story house the men had just left. I'd jumped in without much of a plan, but staying inside the building seemed smarter than standing out in the open. From what I remembered, those men were the farm owner and his hired hands. With the house empty, I figured I'd slip in first and get a handle on the situation.
Once inside, I poked around at the various objects before glancing out the window. The men were being beaten by the animals and driven off the farm. I'd come here hoping to earn some points, but the animals' ferocity was way beyond what I'd imagined.
"I have no clue what I'm supposed to do here... Fine. In that case, I'll just kill Napoleon—that shitty dictator pig bastard—and see what happens."
That was when I heard hurried footsteps clattering down the stairs. A woman clutching a bulging bag came rushing down, then froze the instant she locked eyes with me. Only then did one crucial fact hit me.
Ah. My English sucks.
