Chapter 40
It was a fresh post, written just five minutes ago.
[Morning Tent Installation Knight: Please, anyone, save me...
I'm currently hiding in a village full of Worshippers.
They've realized someone broke in and are searching everywhere to find and kill me.
It's not a big village, just one ruled by a Low-tier Demon, but I can't get out on my own...
This is Linea, and the village is called Flam.
I'm seriously writing this while covering my mouth and crying...
I don't want to die like this...
If anyone is nearby, please, please, please, please come save me!]
Morning Tent Installation Knight.
He's one of the users I see often in the community.
While he isn't a total addict like Melee-type Spy, I Trusted the Monkey Uncle, or Not a Netkama (Hanna), who post once a day, he's pretty close to that level.
I'd say he's a Tier 2 user with activity levels similar to Full Play, Shotgun Attack, and Bramanda.
Looking at the situation, it seems he's been pushed into a very dangerous position.
I'm not sure if I should call this a rare occurrence or the first time something like this has happened.
Until now, posts of this nature in the community were usually written by people who were already dying or had accepted their death.
However, this post by Morning Tent Installation Knight wasn't written while dying like the early users, nor was it a suicide note like Abraham's.
This is a plea for help, filled with a desperate will to survive.
I desperately wanted to help, but the region he's in is the problem.
Linea. That's precisely where Hanna was beaten and tied up by the Brown Rock Tribe—specifically, by Rake.
It took Hanna about two weeks to get there.
Even if Rake, the fastest, left right now, it would take a few days.
Morning Tent Installation Knight will probably be dead by then.
Is there no other way? I've known him in the community for a while, so I'd hate to see him die.
I checked the comments while pondering.
[Bramanda: How did you end up there? What were you doing?]
└ [Morning Tent Installation Knight: ...]
└ [Bramanda: What do you mean?]
└ [Morning Tent Installation Knight: I was looking for something like Viagra and... well, it happened.]
My head throbbed as I read. Has this guy gone completely insane?
└ [Bramanda: ...]
└ [I Trusted the Monkey Uncle: LOL, for real, this guy is a total psycho.]
└ [Full Play: You went all the way down to a village ruled by a Low-tier Demon to look for Viagra and got caught? I'm misinterpreting this, right?]
└ [Kimchi Man Die: The level of these dick-hosts is unbelievable;;]
└ [Morning Tent Installation Knight: There weren't any Worshippers when I first entered. I'm telling you, they were all gathered in the square, maybe for some kind of prayer service.
It's just that they happened to move exactly when I was trying to leave...]
└ [Not a Netkama: Making excuses just makes you look more pathetic.]
└ [Golden Dragon King: Man, seriously? You actually entered the village? Did you want to die? That's basically suicide!]
└ [Morning Tent Installation Knight: Fine. Maybe I was momentarily crazy. But really, you'd understand if you were in my shoes. Try starting your day looking at something that won't stay up in the morning.
Nothing is enjoyable anymore... I lose any will to live. I just plucked up the courage to act in pursuit of my own happiness. Is that so wrong?]
└ [If Use President's Power: Well, I see where you're coming from. My heart aches just thinking that I might have erectile dysfunction. It's not like I did anything bad with my equipment... Poor soul...]
You absolute idiot...!
I don't care how limp your dick is, you risk your life for Viagra?
Just how broken does someone's mind have to be to come up with an idea like that?
All my pity and sympathy vanished instantly.
[Melee-type Spy: Kozaburo - "Sigh~ I suppose I should step in, Master."]
└ [Melee-type Spy: Transcendent - "It is your turn, Kozaburo. Bestow your strength upon the foolish."]
└ [Melee-type Spy: What's your level?]
└ [Morning Tent Installation Knight: I'm level 2. Do you have some brilliant idea?]
└ [Morning Tent Installation Knight: Early users really are on another level.]
└ [Melee-type Spy: Transcendent - "My apologies, mortal..."]
└ [Morning Tent Installation Knight: don't give up you bastard please save me]
└ [Melee-type Spy: I honestly don't get it.]
Even Melee-type Spy, who was well-versed in many things, declared his surrender.
I barely managed to suppress a hollow laugh out of sheer absurdity.
It was clearly a desperate situation, but the combination of Morning Tent Installation Knight's nickname, the cause of the incident, and the users' reactions turned it into a bizarrely funny comedy sketch.
[Morning Tent Installation Knight: Seriously, isn't there anyone in Linea?
The Worshippers haven't found me yet, but I think it's only a matter of time.
I'll give you everything. Absolutely everything except my life.
You can even treat me like a slave, just please save me, I beg you!]
Morning Tent Installation Knight eventually started a new thread to plead for help.
But salvation never came.
Not a single comment indicated that they were in Linea.
[Morning Tent Installation Knight: No! This can't be happening! This isn't real!]
Denial.
[Morning Tent Installation Knight: Why did it have to be me? Why did I have to get erectile dysfunction? Why am I the only one in this situation...]
Anger.
[Morning Tent Installation Knight: Noonas, I'm handsome! Please save me just once, I'll do anything!]
[Morning Tent Installation Knight: Hyungs, that's fine too.]
Bargaining.
[Morning Tent Installation Knight: I can't end like this... I didn't get possessed just for this...]
Depression.
[Morning Tent Installation Knight: Thanks for listening to my rambling, everyone. I wish you all happiness.]
And finally, acceptance.
His mind must have completely snapped, as he was diligently following the Five Stages of Grief.
Most users comforted him with a vibe of "it's a shame, but there's nothing we can do."
[Morning Tent Installation Knight: Thanks. At least I don't feel like I'm dying all alone. I'm glad the community exists.]
...I would have saved him if I were closer.
Out of desperation, I asked Rake.
- Are there any tribes in Linea?
"There is the Ash Mist Tribe. They're near the Brown Rock Tribe, so they interact often."
Rake replied, taking the opportunity of my call to lean her back against Totem No. 1.
- Where does that tribe live?
"They live in the mountains. Just as the tribes on the plains serve Rakan, they serve Lord Mallak."
The mountains. Unfortunately, that information was of no use to the current Morning Tent Installation Knight.
I couldn't guide the Ash Mist Tribe to Morning Tent Installation Knight's location, nor could I ask them to undertake such a dangerous mission.
He wasn't just anyone; he was a fellow countryman, a Korean, but sacrificing dozens of barbarians just to save one guy would be insanity.
Unless Morning Tent Installation Knight could somehow escape the village and reach the mountains on his own.
I gazed at the community with a conflicted heart.
[Princess Dina: Morning Tent Installation Knight
What skills have you learned?]
Does this person have a solution?
The reply came quickly.
[Morning Tent Installation Knight: Touch of Recovery and Holy Flame. Princess, do you have a way?]
Calling her Princess, my foot.
Until a moment ago, he was acting like someone accepting death, but as expected, he couldn't give up hope that easily.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have replied so instantly.
Touch of Recovery and Holy Flame.
I skimmed through the skills George's Raid Party had posted previously.
Touch of Recovery is a level 1 healing skill, and Holy Flame is a level 2 attack skill.
The latter is an attack skill, but it's said to be impractical because it deals low damage continuously.
Maybe it's like damage-over-time.
└ [Princess Dina: You've learned absolutely useless trash skills]
└ [Morning Tent Installation Knight: That's too mean T_T T_T T_T T_T T_T]
Does this person have no way either?
Princess Dina. Princess Dina... her nickname must be taken from the anime series 'Magical Princess Dina' that was popular ten years ago.
Dina, an ordinary middle school girl, meets Papa, a talking axolotl, and realizes she was a princess of a magical kingdom who lost her memories and was exiled to the human world due to her younger sister's conspiracy.
As she regained her memories and past abilities, Dina transformed into a magical girl to fight against the Alpaca Army's invasion of Earth and defeat her sister, who ruled the magical kingdom with a reign of terror... that's how the plot went, I think.
Anyway, it was a hugely famous national anime.
When I was in first grade, I once spat on the floor because I had phlegm in my throat.
Back then, some girls called me an Alpaca Army soldier and bullied me for several months, which is why I still remember that series.
The sight of those girls swinging magic wands at me, claiming they would execute me, was remarkably similar to the barbarians trying to catch and kill the civilized persons who insulted Loa.
└ [Princess Dina: Where are you hiding right now?]
That Princess Dina was now trying her best to save Morning Tent Installation Knight.
