Chapter 11
The 'Brown Rock Tribe Integration Proposal' written by Paya was approved by Kanto and flown away on Tuntun-i's leg.
"The Chief of the Brown Rock Tribe... Well, she's a bit of a crazy bitch, but if Mallak wishes it, then so be it!"
Was I imagining it, or did Kanto look a bit conflicted after being given a predetermined answer?
Sorry, Kanto. This is something that just has to be done.
"They should contact us within three days. As for arriving here... it'll probably take at least two weeks?"
Paya spoke while writing on a crude piece of parchment using a charcoal pencil.
It's a bit pitiful that she always seems so busy.
Girls her age would usually spend their time on hobbies like decorating diaries, playing instruments, or cooking.
From what I've heard, she's constantly overwhelmed with work. Taking a day off would be better for her mental health.
So, I plan to suggest that Paya and I go out and have some fun today.
- I wish to see this hunt with my own eyes. High Priest Paya, will you be my eyes?
"What?!"
Well, strictly speaking, it's reconnaissance. But if we go with the mindset of camping, isn't that basically a trip?
***
"Habul, cover the rear. Denjo, double-check the equipment."
"Yes, sir."
"We'll do as the Chief says."
Seven of the tribe's finest warriors, including Kanto, are moving while surrounding Paya as a guard.
"I can't get used to those eyes, no matter how many times I see them. Lord Mallak, are you there? You're with High Priest Paya, right?"
Paya, whose left eye was glowing blue, was currently in Massacre Mode. Kanto kept glancing at his younger sister with a worried expression even while scouting.
Since there's quite an age gap, he feels more like an uncle than an older brother.
Our Kanto... I tried to just blend in quietly, but he's making me speak.
I didn't say a word even while coming out here on purpose.
- Kanto, do not worry.
"Lord Mallak's words do not reach Chief Kanto right now. He will only hear you if you take over my voice."
- Hmm.
Taking over the voice. That's a strange way to put it.
I didn't check carefully last time, but it seems communication is difficult with anyone except the blessed while Divine Descent is active.
Should I say it's like switching from a speaker for everyone to earphones for just one person?
As Paya mentioned, communication with others is only possible once I take control of a part of the body.
- Let me borrow this for a moment.
I'm curious whether the voice that comes out when I take over Paya's mouth is hers or mine.
I focused my consciousness on Paya's lips. A strange way to put it, but the fact remains.
"Ah, ah."
A voice that was a half-blend of Paya's and mine. It was an eerie sound, the kind a demon from an old folk tale would make.
"Huh!"
"Is-is there something you need?"
A surprised Kanto and several warriors turned their gaze toward us.
They might think we're being too noisy while going to hunt Infected, but it's no problem. Since we aren't in a danger zone yet, I said it was fine to slack off a bit.
At least it'll be easier to tell who's speaking. I returned control of the lips to Paya.
"...That was a strange experience."
Paya touched her lips. The confusion and embarrassment she felt were transmitted to me.
This blessing allowed the sharing of not just sight, but a small amount of emotion as well. I like the fact that it's one-way, with only the vassal's emotions being shared with me.
It's better if they don't know the human emotions I feel. If the convenience store worker, who suddenly became a totem, understood my feelings, it would only diminish her faith.
"It's been a while since I've gone outside the tribe."
Paya was completely captivated by the scenery.
Novelty. Wonder. Joy. And a deep sense of longing.
I'm glad I brought her.
Even though these were Infected that could be dealt with easily, I was a bit worried about any unforeseen possibilities, but seeing Paya this happy made me feel proud.
- How much further do we have to go?
Paya heard my words and relayed them to Kanto.
"We've cleared out almost everyone living in these mountains. We'll have to go further down to find them."
Kanto added that it would take about an hour.
That's a relief. Paya can relax and enjoy nature.
Maybe I should find my own way to enjoy this?

It's definitely not because I'm bored or have nothing better to do.
It's strictly for the sake of information. Hmm.

Most of them are the same members who post every single day. Do these people have nothing better to do?
Given that this is a nearly ruined world with zero infrastructure, they must be struggling to survive, so it's strange they write so consistently.
Maybe they're relatively free because they're actually quite capable?
The type who are psychos online but live decent, hardworking lives in reality...
I can't really picture it. Well, let's just assume that's the case.
I'm curious about Skynet's post on clearing the game. It might be garbage, but maybe there's a helpful nugget in there?
[Skynet: I will explain how to clear the game Survival as a Holy Knight.
I've made a post since so many users asked.
To clear the game Survival as a Holy Knight, several strategies and efforts are required. Below are general gameplay tips and guidelines:
1. Complete Quests: The primary goal is to complete in-game quests. Quests provide experience, items, and gold, aiding the protagonist's level and ability growth. Maximize rewards by completing both main and side quests.
2. Acquire Combat Skills: The protagonist must master and improve combat skills as a Holy Knight. Use various offensive and defensive techniques to gain the upper hand in battles. Seek training or NPC quests to learn these skills.
3. Gear Enhancement: Improve the protagonist's abilities by equipping stronger weapons, armor, and accessories. These can be purchased from shops or obtained as quest rewards. Additionally, use the crafting system to create powerful gear.
4. Exploration: Explore the game world to find hidden treasures, secret areas, and side quests. Exploration offers opportunities for experience and rewards while allowing you to discover various game elements.
5. Party Cooperation: Forming parties with other players makes difficult battles or boss fights much easier. Strategize and complete missions through cooperation.
6. Skill and Attribute Trees: Use skill and attribute trees to develop the protagonist. Invest skill points gained from leveling up to develop desired skills and strengthen special abilities.
Through these strategies and efforts, you can clear the game Survival as a Holy Knight. Since difficulty and design may vary by the developer's decision, please check the in-game hints and help.]
I just wasted my precious time like trash. Since I'm already here, I might as well check the comments.
[Full Play: It's more annoying because half is bullshit and the other half is actually true]
[Shotgun Attack: Stop talking about clearing the game and tell us how to get out of this world, you brainless piece of scrap metal]
[Melee-type Spy: Where the hell are the shops and crafting systems??? Am I the only one who doesn't know??? Is everyone eating chicken and pizza from shops and cranking out legendary weapons with the crafting system??? Where are the NPCs??? Where do I find them??? I want to meet a beautiful girl NPC who teaches sex skills, why aren't there any???? Why are the only people I meet occasionally just some old geezers and hags who survived by staying in their rooms???]
Answer me before I go completely insane, leap to the moon, and jam a pickled pepper up your ancestor's backside!!!]
[Not a Netkama: It's obvious you're just some boring, old loner who's been lurking all this time, trying to act cool. It feels like you just copied some stupid AI chatbot meme from the web. The thought of you scratching your belly and smirking after posting this makes me want to vomit.]
[Cow Bikini Dance: Mister, if you mess up party cooperation here, everyone dies. Don't you know about Devil Massacre?]
[I Trusted the Monkey Uncle: Hahaha! Haa-hahaha! Hahaha-!]
If Skynet's goal was to attract attention, they certainly succeeded.
Regardless, secret areas, side quests, and hidden treasures...
Those things existed in the game Survival as a Holy Knight too. I don't remember most of the locations, but there's one that still sticks with me.
The Necromancer's Tomb. The difficulty was high, but the clear reward was genuinely great.
If this world is a direct implementation of the game, or if the game was a direct implementation of this world, wouldn't it be there?
I'll search for the Necromancer's Tomb later. If other users haven't cleared it yet, I might be able to visit after I've grown stronger.
I proceeded to write the post, which was my original purpose.
[Ultra Sanz Crazy for Massacre Mode on a Moonlit Night: Anyone seen a Barbarian?
How are they?
Dangerous? Strong? Common?]
This should be enough for a start.
I intend to use my spare time to gauge the community's perception of Barbarians in this world.
I looked through some old posts about Barbarians before, but there wasn't much data.
[Dorn: You mean the guys called Barbarians?
They appeared as NPCs occasionally in the game, but I can't find them here.
Is it a location problem?]
[Dalla: Briefly clashed with some Barbarians.
They showed up when I went deep into the mountains searching for food.
They were armed with things like spears and bows.
Their gear is flimsy, but they have monstrous strength, so be careful.
They're skin and bones, but I don't know where that kind of power comes from.]
Those two posts were everything.
"Lord Mallak, look at those flowers. Flowers are blooming in a place like that."
- Beautiful.
I waited for the comments while admiring the strange-looking flowers with Paya, whose girlish sensibilities were in full bloom.
