I Got Possessed
“Haah, fuck. What the hell is this?”
I’m Kim Hyung-chul. Thirty years old this year.
I died and woke up possessed in some nameless little shit’s body.
“Hyung-chul-ah, come eat!”
“Yeah..”
I’d open my eyes in the morning to Mom’s voice calling out.
Then I’d mumble a reply, throw on some clothes, and shuffle out of the room.
Stepping into the living room, the rich smell of stew hit me, and this woman called Mom smiled warmly.
“What’s up with you, up so early?”
“Eh.. just felt like it.”
It’d been two days since I possessed this unknown body.
This was the morning routine I’d pieced together for its owner.
Just like yesterday, I plopped down at the table today and let some pretty noona—didn’t know who she was—spoon-feed me a bite.
Slurp. Man, I still couldn’t get used to this shit.
I ate it anyway, but it didn’t taste like much.
For one thing, I never ate breakfast back in my old life.
But the real kicker? Seven a.m. was prime sleep time for the old me, Kim Hyung-chul.
“Graduation ceremony today, right?”
“...Yeah.”
Fuck. Graduation day already?
No wonder my phone had been blaring alarms.
I paused with the spoon halfway to my mouth, then nodded vaguely at whatever came next.
School, huh..
Me, a middle-school dropout orphan? School?
It really hit home again that I’d possessed some stranger’s body.
“Son! I’ll try to make it if I can. Just in case, here.”
“...? Yeah.”
At the front door, I took the 50,000-won bill from Mom and headed out.
Ding.
The apartment elevator arrived. I hit the button and checked myself out in the mirror.
My chest was already tightening.
Whoa. This kid’s ugly as sin.
I’d been too busy to really look till now.
Height? Maybe 170cm, tops.
Face? Being generous, total nerd. Nothing more, nothing less.
Mom’s genes seemed decent enough.. but Dad’s side must’ve been the problem.
It was that fucked-up of a body.
“At least hit the gym or something.”
My shoulders hunched like a ball, with saggy man-tits and a plump gut hanging below. I kneaded them and muttered.
“These ain’t some chick’s tits. What the fuck?”
Ding.
First floor. Fresh air hit me, and I was already craving a smoke.
I’d looked up the school on my phone—just a 10-minute walk. Not bad.
Better yet, this body’s parents seemed well-off. The school district was solid.
“But why the hell did a guy like this kill himself?”
I couldn’t wrap my head around it as I walked, muttering nonstop.
Good parents, good school, shitty body specs sure—but you could scrape by and live decent.
I’d confirmed the suicide from all the pill bottles scattered around when I first possessed him.
Cause of death: shock from overdose.
Zolpidem. The sleeping pill nightlife pros chug like ramen.
Three full 30-pill bottles ripped open? Yeah, definite.
Workplace bullying? Nah, school bullying maybe?
Looking at him, it tracked.
“Hmm..”
Cheongseol High School came into view.
Way different from my old hood.
Gangnam was Gangnam, but the 8th district schools had their own names.
Wonder if Eun-sook noona’s kid graduated okay..
She’d moved in with us saying she’d dorm at MIT.
Slurp..
Right when I was thinking of settling down after quitting the host game. Then I croak.
Karma, sure, but shitty luck for me too.
I headed into the café across from school.
Mak-dabang. Cheap takeout joint—I’d never hit one back home.
But no way I’d detour for a coffee.
“One cold brew.”
I scanned the menu and ordered flatly. The part-timer grinding beans stared at me, eyes wide.
What?
Judging me on looks? I was gearing up for a stare-down.
“Hey, pig! You psycho, what cold brew here?!”
Outta nowhere, a girl popped her head up from under the counter.
Hmm..?
Black straight hair to her shoulders, subtle makeup.
Fake moles under her eyes—total flight attendant vibe.
I almost asked who the fuck she was, but held back.
Felt like she’d flip if I played dumb.
My old self wouldn’t take morning bitching from some chick.
Pre-possession, I’d have unloaded a barrage of curses.
But now? I looked like a pig, even to me.
Fair point, though.
She glared like my chill pissed her off, then shoved a one-liter iced Americano at me.
“Pay up.”
This fucking bitch just crossed the line. Poison my ass?
Couldn’t risk dine-and-dash, so I handed over the fresh 50,000-won bill.
But.
“Change?”
She pocketed it like it was nothing.
What the fuck?
First time in my life for this shit. I just gawked.
She snarled, stomped around the counter, and came at me.
“Out, you pig fucker.”
“...?”
I followed her out.

She dragged me to the alley by school and glared for a bit, then fished a cig from her tight skirt slit like it was routine.
Flick, puff.
That sweet white smoke she blew my way? Pure nostalgia.
Sniff sniff.
I twitched my nose like a dog on instinct, then snapped to at her sharp mutter.
“Hey, pig. You nuts? Graduation means you can do whatever now?”
Graduation’s the end. What’s left to see?
I eyed her boredly. Just gimme a smoke already.
Yesterday I’d tried buying some, saw her face, and bailed—forced nicotine detox since.
These days, girls like her were the delinquents, huh.
Back in my day, baggy pants, street racing, part-time gigs—that was top dog.
Her shirt gaped, flashing a designer tee. Easy 700k a pop.
Got it. Puzzle solved.
So.. I’m the nerd? That’s my role?
Made sense from the looks.
But I didn’t give a shit. I just asked her.
“Hand over the cash, or I report you.”
“...What?”
Saw CCTV in your shop. Better pay up before it gets messy, right?”
I nodded at her skirt. Her face crumpled.
“Pig. You pulling this ‘cause you think we won’t meet after graduation?”
“Ah, fuck. So petty. We’re strangers post-grad. Why see or not see? You that desperate for my face?”
“What the fuck you say, you shit!”
I pulled out my phone with an annoyed look.
Then straight-up dialed 112.
“...Hello? Yeah. In front of Cheongseol High. Extortion in progress. Yeah. Mak-dabang. Yep.”
“……?”
She squinted at me suspiciously mid-call.
Didn’t believe it? I switched to speaker so she heard.
-Confirming: Mak-dabang by Cheongseol High? No patrol nearby—about 15 minutes.
She finally clocked it and freaked.
Too stunned to snatch the phone, she froze.
I smirked at her and kept going.
“Yeah. CCTV’s got it all. Just come.”
-Got it. Dispatching now.
“Yep~!”
Hung up. She lunged, horrified.
“You crazy fuck!!!”
I grinned at her.
This is adult wisdom, bitch.
Scared of getting beat? Skip school, tip off papers and YouTube, go nuclear.
Worst case, convince parents for transfer.
Being bullied ain’t shameful. Hiding just pumps their egos.
Of course, no real report planned.
This should do it..
Thud.
“You dog! Enough? ENOUGH?!”
She hurled her whole wallet at me, pale as a ghost, raging.
Dick twitched at her drained face.
I smirked and said.
“What?”
“What! Why!! I gave you money! Cancel it!”
“Hmm..”
Pretended to think, went to rub my nose—hooked my glasses instead, pushed ‘em up with my index.
“No.. sincerity... suck..”
“You psycho! Graduation’s today! Parents coming! What the fuck?!”
Okay, lesson over.
Drag it more, cops show for real.
I toed the dropped wallet.
“Fish it out yourself. Don’t want trouble touching it.”
Ex-host bar manager here.
Dealt with so much shit, my legal basics beat a rookie lawyer’s.
If she got any smarter?
I’d own her ass in a heartbeat.
She flushed beet-red under my stare, huffed, and shoved 50,000 won at me.
“Mental.. damages.”
“...What? You crazy bi—”
“Cig. Gimme. We’re square.”
“...You evil fuck! Take ‘em all!”
Thwack.
She chucked the smokes and stormed off.
Flick, puff..
Day two possessed, and I finally got my smoke.
“Fucking bliss..! Oh, right.”
“Yeah, the guy who just reported. Cop’s coming, she threw cash and bolted. Yeah. Nah. Tch.. wasted your time. Thanks~!”
