Chapter 50: Terror in the Skies
The two freeze in shock at the sudden turn of events. It's a hijacking, out of nowhere.
Another man lunges from the shadows, short knife in hand. His eyes burn with malice as he roars, "Nobody move, or she dies!"
The blade slices a thin red line across the beautiful flight attendant's neck.
Screams and sobs erupt through the cabin. Panic spreads like wildfire, chaos reigning supreme.
Shi Luoyin trembles at the sight, her voice a frightened whisper. "Wahhh, Lin Zimo, we're not gonna die on this plane, are we...? We haven't even gotten intimate yet... I don't wanna go like this..."
Lin Zimo forces himself to stay calm. He knows panic will only tighten the noose on this already tense situation.
Her words draw a chuckle from him despite everything, easing his own nerves as he whispers back in reassurance. "We'll be fine, Shi Luoyin. Don't be scared."
He scans the hijackers discreetly. Their eyes gleam with cold killer instinct—terrorists, no doubt.
A bad feeling stirs in his gut. He surveys the surroundings, hunting for an escape route.
Then.
The gunman waves his pistol wildly, barking orders through the cabin in a savage tone. "Everyone, hand over your valuables and all your cash. No money? Transfer it right here on the spot."
The passengers eye the gun. They know defiance means death—or worse—so they comply without hesitation.
Trembling hands offer up wallets, jewelry, phones. Valuables clatter into his bag as they huddle in fear.
Shi Luoyin, steadied by Lin Zimo's words, feels her terror ebb slightly. Still, fear lingers. She squeezes her eyes shut and draws a deep breath.
Lin Zimo keeps his cool, mind racing for a way out, probing the hijackers' weaknesses.
Shi Luoyin pinches his hand—don't do anything stupid—while her other hand sneaks toward the emergency kit under the seat.
That's when the gunman turns his back to Lin Zimo.
Lin Zimo seizes the moment. He springs like a tiger pouncing down the mountain, lunging at the terrorist with blinding speed.
The man never sees it coming. Lin Zimo wrenches the pistol free in one fluid motion.
Then comes a blur of masterful Sanda strikes.
His form weaves phantom shadows through the air. Before the terrorist can react, a precise kick slams into his vital point. He crashes to the floor.
Lin Zimo's movements are lightning-fast, ruthless in precision, a showcase of raw power and coordination.
At the same moment, a burly passenger charges the knife-wielding hijacker from behind, tackling him into a brutal grapple.
The hijacker stumbles and falls. In the scramble, the passenger snatches the blade away.
But then.
The terrorists unleash a feral roar, eyes wild with rage. "Stop, or we all die!" One hand darts to his lower back.
Lin Zimo spots the danger. He surges forward in a single bound, clamping the man's wrist and hurling him over his shoulder in a flawless throw. The body slams into the deck.
That's when Lin Zimo sees it.
A remote control tumbles from the terrorist's waistband—a bomb detonator.
The passengers watch Lin Zimo's heroic clash with the gunman, his agile prowess and bold resolve leaving them awestruck. Whispers ripple from the corners.
"Wahhh, thank God there's a badass on this plane, or we'd be done for today."
"Holy shit! That guy's incredible—just a few moves and the bad guy's down."
"So hot! Does he do martial arts? Fought like that and his mask and hat didn't even slip. Legend."
...
Passengers and crew gape, dumbstruck at the masked, sunglassed savior. His bravery humbles them, their own cowardice a bitter sting.
Just as hope flickers—both terrorists down—they spot the detonator.
Terror crashes back over the cabin.
"Wahhh, a bomb too?! I don't wanna die! Mommm..."
"Oh God, a bomb! On a plane... We're dead!"
"Bomb! It's gonna blow! What do we do? Help! Somebody save me!"
...
Despair twists every face.
The flight attendants shake in fear but try soothing the crowd—to little effect.
Lin Zimo and the burly passenger, Jiang Yan, stare grimly at the detonator.
"Tell us where you hid the bomb," Lin Zimo growls, yanking a half-dead terrorist by the collar.
The man cackles maniacally. "I'll never tell. Go ahead, kill me."
He bites down hard, mangling his own tongue in a spray of blood.
Jiang Yan's terrorist does the same—ruthless, fearless of pain or death.
Lin Zimo and Jiang Yan exchange helpless sighs, hauling the bodies aside. No more intel there.
"We need to find that bomb fast and disarm it. That's the only way we're safe," Lin Zimo says, deadly serious.
Jiang Yan nods. "Split up. We'll cover more ground quicker."
Shi Luoyin quakes but steels herself. "Lin Zimo, I'll search with you."
He glances at the corners. "Fine. Stay sharp—more eyes, faster hunt."
Shi Luoyin yanks off her mask and steps into the frantic crowd, shouting.
"Everyone, stay calm! I'm Shi Luoyin. If we all work together to find and disarm that bomb, we'll be okay. Let's do this—together. We will make it!"
Her fans in the crowd latch on, fear mixing with awe as they steady. "Okay, we trust Luoyin! She wouldn't lie. Everyone chill—find the bomb, and we're saved..."
Calm spreads from them, rippling outward.
Some non-fans scoff, unmoved.
Lin Zimo sees it all. He rips off his mask, revealing his chiseled, handsome face.
