Afterword
You've worked hard...!
— Afterword —
Hello. This is the author, Han Myeong-hyeon.
From the very first chapter to the last, I bow my head in sincere gratitude to every reader who worked so hard to follow each and every installment along the way.
You've truly endured a great deal, sticking with this clumsy writer.
Now that I've uploaded the final chapter, I find myself filled with a bittersweet mix of emotions.
Couldn't I have written it more entertainingly? Why was I so lazy that I took hiatuses as casually as eating a meal...? The apology and the regret run deep — and yet there's also a quiet sense of relief, knowing I managed to put down everything I'd originally envisioned.
Though it was an imperfect work, if there are those among you who enjoyed reading it, I would be endlessly grateful and happy.
In any case, I'm Being Mistaken for a Soccer Genius will always be the story dearest to my heart.
Over a little more than a year, thanks to this friend of a novel, I've danced with joy and torn at my hair in frustration. In so many ways, it feels as though a great store of memories has piled up. I don't think I'll ever forget the time I spent writing this.
I'll take what I've learned and what I regret from this opportunity, study hard, and strive to return with even better writing. I don't know when that will be — but I do want to feel that thrill of starting from chapter one again soon. Of course, I think I need to rest a little first, too.
Anyway, I've rambled on long enough.
Thank you so, so much for walking alongside a boy named Jian Lee through the most turbulent, storm-tossed period of his life.
It seems early summer is already about to begin — please take good care of your health, and may you always be happy.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!
