The One Who Shouldn't Be Here
The first to settle into position were Ji Seoeun and Yu Hana. In other words, the rear support team. Their headquarters was the rooftop of a high-rise building located about ten kilometers from the villa and roughly nine kilometers from the port. Even though the distance was a bit far, this was the only spot with a clear line of sight, so there was no other choice. After all, rear support in case of an emergency could only be attempted from a location where visibility was secured.
Upon arriving at the destination, Yu Hana immediately activated her superpower first. The entire operation area unfolded in a three-dimensional holographic map. The Chinese villains and Cheongpung organization members that had been pre-marked appeared as red and black dots, and their movements began to be detected in real time.
“Hehe, they’re starting to move over there too~”
That wasn’t all. She discovered Cheongpung members secretly moving through nearby CCTV and dashcams. Newly discovered individuals were added to the marking system, allowing their positions to be tracked in real time. It was almost impossible to move within the operation zone without Yu Hana’s eyes catching it. Especially in a Korean city where CCTVs and dashcams were scattered everywhere.
“Cheongpung has started moving urgently. Looks like they spotted Roll and Yaksha. But they’re heading in the opposite direction from Pier 3?”
—Opposite direction?
“Huh? All the port security forces are heading that way. Seems like a diversion.”
—Ha, they’re really pulling out all the stops. What about the jjajang?
“Still the same on that side. Seventeen at Pier 3, Container 5. Twenty-two inside the warehouse. That’s all I’ve confirmed so far.”
—Better move right away. Deploy.
—Roll, receiving.
—Yaksha, deploying.
Upon receiving the information that Cheongpung was on the move, Na Yeri immediately gave the order to charge. Seong Jiyeong and Tasha, who received the command, broke through toward the port right away. They pushed in steadily from the entrance.
—Crimson Flame Water Dragon Fist!
One of the Chinese thugs facing Seong Jiyeong pretended to throw a punch, then secretly scattered something.
—Is that all you’ve got?
—You can’t stop me by just scattering dirt!
But she had already experienced this kind of trick countless times through Na Yeri. Seong Jiyeong dodged it without issue and began punishing her opponent with fierce whip attacks.
High-concentration capsaicin detected from Rabbit Roll’s mask.
“Wow, these guys are actually hilarious~ It wasn’t dirt, it was capsaicin?”
“Would’ve been dangerous without the Rabbit Roll mask.”
“Right~ That kind of thing is more dangerous than actual poison.”
Superhumans often had some level of resistance to poisons. Especially someone like Seong Jiyeong, who had eaten all sorts of weird things since childhood. But high-concentration capsaicin wasn’t a poison, so there was no resistance to it. If you suddenly got hit with something like that in the middle of a fight, anyone’s combat ability would plummet. If the Rabbit Mask didn’t have its external substance blocking function, even Seong Jiyeong wouldn’t have been able to ignore that trap so easily. The fact that she mistook the scattered capsaicin for dirt was also thanks to the mask automatically purifying it.
Of course, the reason Na Yeri didn’t bother explaining any of this was because she trusted the ridiculously useful performance of the Rabbit Mask. Ji Seoeun, who was sharp as a tack, saw an opportunity.
“Yu Hana witness. Points accumulated.”
“Hmm~ Should I~?”
“Cooperation termination?”
“Aww, as if~”
If the equipment’s usefulness was acknowledged, Seong Jiyeong would be able to secure more funding. The cunning Ji Seoeun couldn’t miss this chance. But it could only be proven if Yu Hana acted as a witness. So she asked Yu Hana to testify. For her own reasons, Yu Hana, who was currently cooperating with Ji Seoeun, had no intention of ruining their partnership over something like this. She was happy to be a witness. The brief teasing was simply because Ji Seoeun’s reactions were fun to watch.
—Annoying.
—This isn’t even Fa-jing, is it?
The two women’s eyes now turned toward Tasha. Tasha was simply beating the Chinese thugs senseless with raw power. It seemed there was no expert here capable of surpassing Tasha in a pure contest of strength.
“Wow~ Our Jeongjeong and Shasha are fighting so well~”
“No guns.”
“Ah, right. It would’ve been too much to bring guns with the security forces around~ In that case, isn’t this a bit too easy~?”
“Different on Unnie’s side.”
“But the image of Yeri getting hit by bullets… doesn’t really come to mind~”
“Same for me.”
While watching the two of them clean up the Chinese villains through the action cams installed in their masks, Yu Hana was certain this was perfect footage to tip off to Psyker Mad. But she decided to hold back this time. If she reported even this, Na Yeri would probably get genuinely angry. There was no reason to slit open the belly of the golden goose that laid golden eggs of entertainment, was there?
“I wonder when our YeriYeri is going to jump in~ I want to see Yeri fight.”
“Soon. Unnie is moving out now.”
—Commencing assault.
“Unnie, movement detected.”
While Tasha and Seong Jiyeong smoothly suppressed the port, Na Yeri began her own part of the operation. Slipping into the villa under the cover of darkness, she slowly began taking out the enemies from the perimeter. Three villains guarding the outside died without being able to do anything.
“Hiya~ It’s truly artistic~ Just what is our YeriYeri~?”
“Doesn’t matter what.”
“True~ That’s true~”
While switching between the three screens, Yu Hana witnessed a strange scene through Seong Jiyeong’s action cam. The villains in the back were inhaling something suspicious. And those guys suddenly began pressuring Seong Jiyeong and Tasha with movements far quicker than before.
—Heh~ So now some guys worth fighting are showing up.
—They suddenly got faster. What is this?
“They inhaled something weird from behind. Some kind of doping drug~?”
—I know what it is. It’s definitely a narcotic combat stimulant. For villains to be using something that’s only handled for military use…
—Looks like their side is quite the mess too.
Tasha immediately identified it as a narcotic combat stimulant from the opponent’s movements. Having obtained new information, Yu Hana decided she needed to inform Na Yeri.
“Vader. These guys inhaled some weird drug~ She says it’s a narcotic combat stimulant.”
—Ah, that stuff. I see… So that’s why there were so many drugs. They weren’t just simple drug offenders after all.
“Still, the situation on this side is favorable. Looks like they couldn’t bring guns into the port~”
—That’s actually a good thing.
“But your side might be a bit different.”
—I’ve already confirmed their armament. I’d rather handle the guns myself. Let me know again if the situation changes.
“Ro~ger~”
After ending the communication with Na Yeri, Yu Hana continued observing the battlefield. She was able to confirm that Cheongpung’s elite forces were breaking in from the outside. The security forces that should have been handling the disturbance inside the port had all been lured away by the decoys. Pier 3 was on the verge of turning into a three-way battle between Cheongpung, Blood Rabbit, and the Chinese villains.
“Wow, the security forces… they’re seriously incompetent. Did Cheongpung bribe them or something? Anyway, this is getting interesting~”
“Doesn’t look like it’ll be easily resolved.”
“Yeah. That means the burden on YeriYeri will get heavier. And what the heck is that lump?”
“Weird lump. Strong.”
“Hmm…”
After confirming that Na Yeri was fighting on equal footing with one massive villain, Yu Hana began to think this operation might not end easily. Among the villains guarding the villa, there seemed to be some real powerhouses. Even Na Yeri appeared to be struggling slightly.
And then.
One group from Cheongpung began approaching the villa at high speed. Seeing an entire cluster moving at once, it looked like they were riding some massive vehicle.
“This is turning into a total mess. We might actually need to provide rear support after all~”
“Been waiting. I’m Ready.”
“But are you really going to use it?”
“Must use to improve.”
“Well, that’s true… Whatever. Let’s contact YeriYeri depending on the situation~ Oh, right. I need to tell her this. Vader~ Cheongpung forces are currently moving toward your location. Twelve of them. They’re in a vehicle and will arrive in three minutes.”
—Agh, damn it. Guess I need to wrap this up quickly. Ha, do I really have to go this far…
Yu Hana, who had been staring intently at Na Yeri’s action cam feed, suddenly widened her eyes. The massive opponent that Na Yeri had seemed to be struggling against had been taken down in an instant. It had happened in the blink of an eye.
The first news that reached me while I was observing the villa was about the security forces’ spectacular blunder. The Cheongpung decoys who had broken into the port and were openly causing a ruckus had dragged the entire security force away. I really hadn’t expected them to fall for such a pathetic diversion tactic. I wasn’t sure if it was because Cheongpung was meticulous or because the security forces were just that stupid. At this point, I was even starting to suspect that someone in the security forces had taken a bribe.
At this rate, Seong Jiyeong and Tasha might have to handle the drug incineration as well. The original plan of luring the security forces over to clean up the drugs had been ruined from the start. And if Cheongpung broke in there on top of that…
“Which means I have no choice but to handle this place by myself.”
I had planned to clean this place up alone from the beginning, but something about it still felt off.
“Kuh!!”
“Wha… ack..”
After observing the surroundings and confirming the infiltration route, I immediately took action. I swiftly eliminated the guards at the entrance and dashed straight into the villa. This time, the full-body suit was proving incredibly useful. In a remote place like this with almost no lighting, there was no outfit more effective than this black full-body suit.
“Intruder!!”
“Black clothes! Wearing a strange mask!”
“God damn it.”
But my luck didn’t last long. As if they had been waiting, the bastards came swarming out. And the moment they appeared, they immediately opened fire.
—Bang! Bang! Bang!
These guys really had no manners. To teach them some etiquette, I activated the suit’s hyper mode and even used my superpower. I repelled all the bullets fired from every direction using repulsion, then charged at them with overwhelming speed that couldn’t even be compared to normal. It didn’t take long for the villains who had burst out of the villa to all become villains in the literal sense.
Right then, information arrived that the villains at the port had started inhaling some strange drug. It was a narcotic combat stimulant used exclusively by the military.
“Ah, that stuff. I see… So that’s why there were so many drugs. They weren’t just simple drug offenders after all.”
I was quite familiar with narcotic combat stimulants. I had even used them during operations before. I remembered that the side effects were severe, so they couldn’t be used often. Once you took it, you’d be bedridden for at least a few days. But its performance was outstanding, so it was a valuable item that only government agencies could produce. To make this, you needed a considerable amount of superpower-enhancing drugs. I had wondered why they’d made so many drugs, but it seemed they had other plans.
“Wait. These guys… could they not be simple villains? And if it’s the South Five Faction…”
The South Five Faction was the predecessor of South Five Country. I didn’t know everything, but at least a few of them were definitely agents from that side. They wouldn’t entrust such an important operation of securing drugs in bulk to mere villains.
“That guy was from South Five Country too, wasn’t he?”
I recalled that among the South Five Country special forces operatives, there was one particularly nasty bastard to deal with. He was ridiculously tough, and his superpower was trash-tier, yet several Special Task Force members had fallen to him. He was the type who got deployed to a lot of dirty work for a special forces agent.
“So… bald, huge build. Face looks incredibly dirty… and he looks exactly like that.”
To check the commotion outside, a massive man kicked open the villa door and stepped out. A giant bald man with an incredibly dirty-looking face. It was exactly the appearance I remembered.
“Damn it, it really is him. It’s actually that son of a bitch?”
I had a feeling today was going to be an incredibly exhausting day.
