But Employee D Is Diamond Tier...
Special Guest and the 4th Week of October Internal War

The chat was scrolling faster than when the boss hit peak viewer count. This was what 23,000 people looked like. And the number kept climbing in real time. That said, when I occasionally tuned into Batyu Batyu's Livia she peaked at 40,000, and the chat speed didn't feel all that different from now. The boss said anything over five thousand made it impossible to read everything, so people who stream definitely need good dynamic vision. It might even be an advantage for people who are good at FPS games.
I waited until the absolute chaos in chat calmed down a bit, then calmly began my introduction.
“I somehow ended up getting invited by MovGun as an internal-war member today. So here I am, introducing myself. Hello everyone, I'm Employee D from Parallel's management team.”
“Also, the illustration was personally drawn by Parallel 1st Gen Akari Dora who took time out of her busy schedule. The boss said that since I’m an employee at a VTuber company, it wouldn’t be right to go on an official promotional appearance with only my voice.”
The chat was still chaotic, but the moment the words promotion, official, and employee appeared, the mood completely flipped.
"Lmao you're totally gonna debut after this we all know it"
"See you again as 1.5 gen Wondi-chan~"
I deliberately didn't respond to the flood of debut-related chat and donations that followed. Once you react even once, viewers naturally start spinning their happiness circuits thinking, “They want to debut but are pretending they don’t.” If I left it alone the hype would cool off on its own. No need to poke the hornet’s nest.
I stayed quiet to signal that I wanted to move on, and MovGun jumped in at the perfect time.
Of course, not everyone was happy about my appearance.
The internal war hosted by the Moving crew was famous for only allowing skilled players, so plenty of people here didn’t even know the signal flare, and even those who did were probably thinking, “It’s just Diamond, right?” All twenty-three people gathered here were Master tier or above, the celestial realm users. Maybe MovGun was conscious of that, because he immediately followed up with a more detailed introduction.
If he had only given praise it would have been embarrassing, but he deliberately added the words “Diamond tier” to keep the balance. I felt the same way so I didn’t bother correcting him… or so I thought.
“Everyone here is a celestial server name I’ve heard at least once. But you never know until you actually play. Since I was lucky enough to get invited, I’m going to show everything I’ve got.”
How could I not be excited when a mere Diamond had shown up in the celestial users’ playground? These were people you could hardly even meet in ranked games, literally living in a league of their own. But did I see them as people from a completely different world like the boss or the 1st gen? No. The moment I won the bet against MovGun, a new horizon had opened for me too. Just thinking about how I could beat them was fun.
And losing to them? I didn’t really care. My goal from the very beginning had been to blow up MovGun’s head. There was some personal ill will mixed in, but it was all for promoting the 1st gen. Down with MovGun. I was going to send his head flying nice and clean through the smoke screen.
Whether he knew my blade was pointed at him or not, MovGun clapped and said.
I quickly checked the viewer count.

Twenty-five thousand. It had been 23,000 when the broadcast started, so two thousand more people had heard the news and rushed in.
"So are the person who sniped MovGun and Employee D the same person?"
The number of people asking whether I was the same person as “MovGunIsFamousMomoAnti” who had sniped MovGun sixty hours ago was also steadily increasing. In other words, there were still more people coming out of curiosity. The news was still spreading far and wide.
This means doing it later will be more advantageous.
The more people who watched MovGun lose to me, the better. That way the ID “Parallel1stGen1YearAnniversarySongNovember5thRelease” would be engraved in even more people’s minds. There was no way I wouldn’t be able to kill MovGun at least once in two games. I obviously wouldn’t use any dirty tricks for fairness, but I had already figured out in advance which maps and landing spots he usually went for.
“I’ll do it after the internal war. Everyone, as I mentioned earlier, I have one piece of news I brought to promote Parallel. I’d appreciate it if you kept watching with interest until the internal war ends.”
Please don’t let me end up on the same team as MovGun.
Of course, the world never flowed the way I wanted.
Because so many people were obsessed with winning even in an internal war, the Moving crew’s internal wars always used a draft to pick teams. Eight team leaders would each pick two members. They rolled dice to decide the order, picked one each, then reversed the order for the final pick.
It was only natural, but since my skills hadn’t been verified yet I was pushed into the second phase along with the people who hadn’t performed well last week… One, two, three… After the seventh team leader had filled their three members,
I ended up joining MovGun’s team as the final member…
Just like the viewers said, how the hell was I supposed to do my best? I came here to crack your skull open!
This was impossible. It was rigged. It had to be MovGun’s evil scheme to interfere with my plan. Taking off my corporate mask and speaking honestly, even if I combined the average viewer counts of all the former pros and streamers gathered here, it would still be less than the number of people currently watching MovGun’s stream. Catching MovGun would give the most definite effect, but I ended up on the same team as him. Heaven really was heartless. Did it hate the idea of Parallel doing well that much?
Can’t be helped.
But if I was the type to give up just because a variable appeared, I wouldn’t have come out in the first place. This was a job the boss entrusted to me. It was even my first time ever doing official promotional work. I didn’t want to half-ass it just because the situation wasn’t ideal.
I have no choice but to get first place.
Since it had come to this, I would crush everyone else and take first. That should cover the difference in broadcast weight class. So I changed today’s goal from cracking MovGun’s skull to getting first place within two games. Burning with enthusiasm, I boldly declared.
“MovGun, please don’t hold my ankles. I’m planning to take first place today.”
