Chapter 30. No Reason to Spare This Trash
"Villain dear, shall we get down to business now? Who was that 'master' you were blabbing about earlier?"
A blue bolt of electricity coiled around my fingertips, crackling ominously against her chest with a sinister hiss.
The villainess sister looked up at me, her eyes a mix of agony from her severed arm and raw terror of death.
Her teeth chattered loudly in the silent space.
"I-I don't know... I swear! That person never once appeared before us! Their voice was always distorted by a machine...!"
Her answer didn't stray far from what I'd expected, but that didn't make me feel any better.
No, it only stoked my rage further.
I narrowed my eyes and tightened my grip on my fingers.
"Not satisfied. That's way too cliché, Villain dear."
-Zzzt!
"Gaaahhh! Aaaack, please! Stop, stop it!"
The electricity surging from my fingers pierced her charred chest skin, burrowing into her muscles.
The smell of burning protein stung my nose, but to me, it was sweeter than any perfume.
Her body convulsed, claws scraping the floor.
I tossed out the next question with a blank expression.
"Then what about the drug? That filthy stuff you used on Serendipity—how'd you receive it?"
The villain gasped raggedly, hesitating on her answer.
I could see her eyes darting wildly left and right.
Probably weighing her fear of the shadowy figure behind it all against the terror I posed right in front of her.
But my patience wasn't that long.
"Hesitating just brings death closer, Villain dear."
I concentrated even denser electricity at my fingertips.
The blue glow shifted toward violet, slowly—ever so slowly—boring toward her heart.
Unable to even scream as the nerves around her heart burned, she flailed with her mouth agape.
"I'll talk, I'll talk! Please...! It was left in storage lockers in designated zones, or sometimes dumped in abandoned factories where no one goes—we'd pick it up! We never met them in person, not even once!"
The info she spilled in her panic was pretty detailed. But that was it.
Just like her worthless little brother who'd died without a shred of use, this big sister villain seemed to have no more value left.
My cold reason judged that this was all the intel they had.
I stopped asking questions. But the electricity drilling into her chest didn't stop.
If anything, it sharpened and plunged deeper, shattering her ribcage and stabbing into her lungs.
"Grrraaaahhh! Why, why are you doing this! I answered! I told you everything! Why keep going without even asking...!"
A scream bordering on a wail burst out.
She stared at me like I was unjust, incomprehensible.
I leaned in close to her twisted face and murmured low.
"Just because."
"Wha...?"
"Just felt like it. Your screams are pretty nice to listen to, Villain dear."
Truth be told, I'd never had any intention of letting her live.
Whether their info satisfied me or not, the outcome was set.
Recalling the heinous shit they'd done to my precious comrade, even a painless death was too merciful.
Just as they'd delighted in Ha-young's glazed eyes, I deserved to savor her body breaking down.
I compressed the electricity into a thin, razor-sharp thread. Then I pushed it in slowly, as if searing each heart valve one by one.
"Ah, aaaah... Aaack! Please, just kill me outright! Please, end it all at once!"
Her pain-laced groans filled the space.
Every twist of her body sent hot heat surging from my dantian.
Staring straight into her eyes crushed by fear and agony, intense euphoria flooded from my lower belly, wrapping my whole body.
"Ahaha! Yes, that's it! Scream louder, Villain dear! Way better than when your little bro died!"
I let out a cheer without thinking.
Pent-up rage twisted into destructive pleasure, starting to dominate me.
The sensation of my inner thighs slick with dripping nectar only sharpened my mind further.
Just a bit more—just a tiny bit—and this current would reach her heart's core, granting me perfect bliss from ending this trash's life.
It was right at that peak of ecstasy, as I was about to burst her heart completely.
"Stop it, Electra!"
A heavy, resolute voice from behind made me sigh faintly.
I'd just started cresting toward climax, and now someone had to ruin the flow.
Keeping the sharp current buried in her chest, I turned around.
Sister Ye-na stood there behind me.
"Raphtel, how'd you know to come here?"
"Tracked your mana signature."
"Oh, right. Yeah, you're the best at that stuff, Raphtel."
"Electra, I get how you feel. But we're magical girls. Taking lives isn't our job—you know that."
Irritation from the interrupted climax swept through me.
Normally, I'd have relaxed at Raphtel's arrival and pulled back the lightning, but the emotions ruling my head now dismissed her voice as mere noise.
I turned to face her, still crackling electricity between my fingers.
Always so prim and proper, pursuing unwavering justice.
Sister Ye-na was always like that.
Whenever I lost my way or got swept up in emotions, she'd guide me with rational judgment and cool reason—like a true leader.
Until now, I'd never once doubted her decisions or argued back.
But things were different this time.
Every word from her mouth grated like mosquito buzz on a summer night.
"Taking lives isn't our job?"
My voice sounded eerily dry even to me.
I shifted my gaze back to the villain flailing in my grasp.
Face smeared with tears and snot from terror, crotch soaked in filth.
Did this really fall under the 'lives we must protect' Sister Ye-na talked about?
"Raphtel, I've got a question. Do you really think... this is a living being?"
At my question, a faint twitch crossed Sister Ye-na's brow.
She held her firm gaze and replied.
"Electra, no matter how depraved or disgusting their crimes, that doesn't change the fact they're living beings. It's not our place to judge them— that's for the central government's laws. We just subdue and hand them over."
I flashed a bitter smile and ramped up the electricity at my fingertips a notch.
"The central government's laws? How ridiculous."
Acidic smoke rose from the villain's chest.
"You saw what they did to Ha-young—to our Serendipity—in their hands."
"Th-that was..."
"You really think we should let scum like this live?"
"But we're magical girls. Magical girls..."
A hollow laugh escaped me naturally, and I cut her off before she finished.
"You think it's right for trash like this to stay alive under the law's protection, eating warm meals just to cough up info?"
"That's the line we have to hold, Electra. Cross it, and we become no different from them."
Sister Ye-na's answer was steadfast.
So perfectly righteous and honest it made me want to puke.
Her logic was flawless, but right now, I didn't need logic.
I let out a long breath.
Hot fury swirled in my chest, but outwardly, I relaxed my shoulders, feigning surrender.
Then I slowly released my grip on the villain's throat.
-Thud!
Freed from death's grip, the sister villain rolled on the floor, gasping desperately.
Relief flooding her, she blinked wildly and crawled away.
I ignored her and trudged toward Sister Ye-na.
"Got it. You're right, Raphtel. Guess I lost my head for a sec."
At my words, Sister Ye-na's face visibly brightened.
She sighed in relief and stepped forward to meet me.
As if proud of her junior for making the tough choice and following her lead, she reached out to pat my shoulder.
"It must've been hard, Electra. But you thought it through. Thanks so much."
Her fingers were just about to touch my shoulder.
-Snap!
With a crisp flick of my fingers.
In that instant, a burst of violet lightning shot from my fingertips, slicing through the air.
It grazed past Sister Ye-na and struck the sister villain square in the back as she sighed in relief on the floor.
-Splurt!
The compressed bolt punched through her ribcage, pulverizing her heart to dust.
Her body spasmed briefly, then collapsed limp like a puppet with cut strings.
Her dilated pupils held no more fear or relief.
"E-Electra...?"
Sister Ye-na's hand froze mid-air.
Her eyes widened in shock, flicking between the cold corpse and me.
I slowly looked up to meet her gaze.
A brighter, more radiant smile than ever graced my lips.
"Sorry, Raphtel. I'll follow everything you say, but..."
I lightly shook my still-crackling, steaming fingers and continued.

"...not this time♡"
