To Seoyeon’s House
We chatted in a Starbucks cafe, and Seoyeon suggested we immediately do the live broadcast to explain the situation. She even posted on her Together app that she'd have a surprise guest today.
"Good, maybe today we'll have a record-breaking number of viewers. Thanks for helping, Minho-ya."
"I'm getting paid for this, so..."
The moment we decided, Seoyeon immediately deposited the 300,000 won she promised right there. In fact, she said she'd take half of the donations from the chat during the broadcast today.
I thought the impact would be huge if a man like me went on the broadcast...
"My prediction is it'll be huge. There are quite a few people on my broadcast who are starving for men. The chat power is insane when only men are mentioned."
In the original world, there were many men who were starving for women, so that makes sense. It's not something I can't understand.
Thinking that, I stared at Seoyeon’s face. Seoyeon flinched and quickly started talking.
"Ah! Of course, I'm talking about the viewers, not me. I'm the kind of person who accepts such things like a clown, ahahaha..."
Seeing her flustered and rambling like a thief caught red-handed, I couldn't help but laugh.
"Heh! I didn't say anything like that."
"Ah, right? Just in case, never mind, ahahaha..."
"And from what I've seen so far, I know you're not like that."
If Seoyeon had tried to do something to me, she would have shown some active action. But I haven't seen that kind of look.
"Then that's good... Anyway! There might be some girls in the chat who do sexual harassment today, so don't take those words to heart. Okay?"
"Okay. I'm fine, so don't worry."
We left the Starbucks and started walking towards Seoyeon’s house. We need to check how to set up the broadcast at home.
Since the broadcast is scheduled for 7 PM, we decided to order simple food for dinner from Seoyeon’s house.
So, when we arrived at Seoyeon’s house in front of the subway station,
"Eh!"
Seoyeon, who was walking well, suddenly stopped.
"Why?"
"Um, well... Thinking about it, I remember my house is a complete mess right now... Sorry, but can you wait outside for a bit?"
"Oh, of course I should. It wasn't even the day we originally planned to go, and it happened suddenly."
A messy room is too normal, right? Even I, who lives alone, at least keep it minimally tidy.
"Thanks. I'll really clean up quickly and come out!"
After saying thanks to me, Seoyeon quickly went inside.
I guess I should wait outside fiddling with my phone?
Standing there quietly looking at my phone, I heard bustling sounds with clanging noises from inside the house.
As a streamer, she might waste a lot of time on the broadcast, so maybe she doesn't have much time to clean, but it seemed like a lot.
After waiting outside for more than 20 minutes, the door opened.
"You waited a long time? Really sorry. There was more to clean than I thought. Come in quickly."
"It's fine, it could happen. I'll intrude~"
I entered Seoyeon’s house.
"So this is your house... It's surprisingly spacious."
"Because I have to do broadcasting inside the house too, I chose a larger place."
Compared to my one-room apartment, Seoyeon’s two-room house looked much more spacious.
"So is the broadcasting place over there?"
I pointed to the room with the closed door.
"Yes, come in."
Following Seoyeon’s guidance, I opened the door and entered. There were several monitors on a desk, and on top of it, there was something that looked like a microphone.
Seoyeon naturally sat on the chair and installed a small camera on the monitor.
"This will broadcast your Overwatch gameplay. Since we don't want our faces to show, sit on the other chair to check the angle."
I sat on the other chair next to Seoyeon. Was the clanging sound earlier moving that chair?
Sitting on the soft cushion, Seoyeon turned on the cam and checked how we would look. The monitor screen was adjusted so only the lower part below the neck showed.
People who only do no-cam or half-cam broadcasts are called 'duh-ra-han' (probably 'dura han' or something derogatory), and seeing it like this, it reminded me of that.
After finishing the cam adjustments, Seoyeon told me to enter the training room and check the mouse settings after turning on the Overwatch.
If the sensitivity or key settings are different, it would be hard to show my real skill, so I should do it while I have time.
"Even though it's a guest, if I just sit still, it's not polite... I'll bring some snacks or drinks."
"Okay. I'll just do this."
I pointed to the Overwatch and answered.
Seoyeon grabbed the doorknob to go out but stopped, turned around.
"Um... Just in case, can I ask? You can't touch anything in the house, right? You really can't touch anything..."
"Huh? Isn't that obvious? It's not my house, so I should just stay still. Coming to someone else's house and messing with things is something a person shouldn't do."
"Right? Then please~"
After finishing, Seoyeon went out, and I focused on the Overwatch again.
Even if it's a close friend, if they come over and start rummaging through my room, it's naturally unpleasant. I wouldn't do such a thing, but Seoyeon is really worrying.
What is in this room anyway...
"Huh? Why does that closet look like it's about to burst?"
