Prologue
"The rumor that once you’re imprisoned, you come out a completely different person has now been proven true."
Footage rolled on the broadcast.
Inside it was an unbelievable sight: Blood Mary, the infamous S-class villain who had once turned half a city into a sea of fire and claimed countless victims, was doing community service in an apron.
"The warden told me to live a good life! The warden is the best ♡"
She even sent a tiny finger heart toward the camera with disarmingly cute precision. There was no trace left of the terror she’d once inspired.
"It’s truly astonishing. To think a disaster-level criminal who was once impossible to control could be reformed so perfectly."
That praise for me was so cringe-inducing I switched to another channel.
"How dare criminals run wild in a world watched over by the warden? Tear them apart!"
"Warden! Warden!"
On the screen, the female villains from my prison were brutally trampling the male villains beneath their heels.
"Aaagh! Somebody help me! You crazy bitches!"
The villains’ desperate screams rang out, raw and miserable, from beyond the screen.
Now that it was out of my hands, I shoved a potato pizza and a cola into my mouth while watching a scene that had nothing to do with me.
Munch, munch.
"Mmm!! This place really knows what it’s doing!"
