Chapter 2
Chapter 2
“Eroge” is short for erotic game. In simple terms, it refers to games that contain sexual, pornographic elements.
I can confidently say that among men who enjoy games, very few have never tried an eroge or at least an adult game with erotic content.
Of course, I was one of those countless men who had played them. In fact, I had played more eroge than I could even remember.
I had gone through dozens upon dozens of titles in every way imaginable, but none of them ever surpassed this one.
Magical Girl Estia.
It’s a typical RPG-style magical girl eroge where you control the protagonist, Seo Yeo-reum, as she purges monsters and an evil organization while saving the city.
The reason I liked it first was Yeo-reum’s design. Everything in the right place, everything in the right shape. A body that was clearly designed to appeal. A pretty face worthy of a game heroine, a lively yet slightly cute personality, and even a revealing transformation outfit.
It was packed with every element men would fall for, and it completely captured my attention.
Next were the various situations in Magical Girl Estia that were… well, let’s just say stimulating.
As a magical girl setting, it naturally included many erotic everyday scenarios. From a player’s perspective, it was basically porn. Extremely arousing.
But beyond that, the story was surprisingly good. Really good. And at times, even touching.
Maybe that’s why, from the second playthrough onward, I only did “pure route” runs.
Even when she suffered humiliation, I always made sure she kept her purity to the end. That’s how strong the story and emotional impact were.
That’s why I call this my number one eroge of all time.
Now you’re probably wondering why I’m suddenly talking about my favorite game.
It’s because I got dragged into that eroge world.
I definitely went to sleep like normal. That’s all I did. But when I opened my eyes, I was inside the world of that game.
There were two reasons I knew that…
…no, before that, I had work to do.
“…Sector D, all clear. Moving to next patrol sector.”
“Roger.”
After hearing the response from the radio, I headed to the next sector.
That’s right. I am now a police officer in the world of a magical girl eroge.
Just a few days ago, I was an unemployed young man. Then, right after watching the tenth ending of Magical Girl Estia, I got thrown into this world.
For reference, I didn’t just see ten different endings. I replayed the true ending ten times. The game didn’t even have multiple endings to begin with.
But that’s not important. What’s important is that enemies have appeared.
“…squish… squish…”
“…Low-level monster detected. I will eliminate it immediately.”
Right in front of me was the enemy.
A slime, of all things.
Yes, that famously weak monster.
I raised my gun and aimed at the wobbling slime.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Three bullets flew out cleanly, piercing the slime. It collapsed instantly.
“Good.”
I holstered my weapon and reported the good news through the radio.
“Target eliminated.”
“Good job, rookie. Keep patrolling.”
“Roger.”
In this game, the police force is quite unique compared to other magical girl eroges.
In most magical girl settings, the police are portrayed as useless. Honestly, they’re just civilians riding on the magical girl’s coattails. Sometimes it’s even better if they don’t interfere at all.
But in the world of Magical Girl Estia, police actually have suppression power against monsters.
Of course, only against low-level monsters, but still, that’s rare for this genre.
And that was how I realized this wasn’t my original world, but the world of Magical Girl Estia.
The moment I woke up, I was wearing a police uniform and doing “anti-monster shooting training.” There was no way I could mistake it.
There was another reason too, but that’s not important right now. What matters is this.
“…Senior, can you hear me?”
“Yeah? What’s wrong? Another monster?”
“…I need to go to the bathroom.”
“…Sigh. Be back in ten minutes.”
“Thank you~”
After getting permission from my senior, the time had come.
What time, you ask? Bathroom break? No, that’s just an excuse.
Now was the time for what I said was important earlier. Time to see Magical Girl Estia… Seo Yeo-reum.
Today is the day her story begins.
Seo Yeo-reum at this point is ten years old, just a child.
She does not become a magical girl at this age. That happens when she becomes a twenty-year-old university student.
So why does her story begin today, when she is ten?
Because today is the day she first meets a monster and loses her parents.
And right now, I’m rushing to prevent even that beginning.
After a few minutes of running toward the incident location, I was already a bit too late.
Boom!!
A distant explosion echoed. When I arrived at the source, a ruined building was completely engulfed in flames.
There were no monsters or living humans inside.
Only one unconscious girl lay on the ground.
I approached her.
Seo Yeo-reum.
Cute black twin tails, baby-soft cheeks that still hadn’t shed their childish roundness, a light dress, neatly tied hair.
It was exactly how I remembered her childhood.
“So this is… Seo Yeo-reum…”
Seeing the heroine of my favorite game made me happy, but also deeply guilty.
If I had arrived earlier, she wouldn’t have had to lose her parents.
In the original story of Magical Girl Estia, Yeo-reum loses her parents in this incident and is sent to an orphanage.
That’s why I tried to prevent it.
I calculated the date, but I couldn’t identify the exact location, so I kept circling the area searching for clues.
And because of that, my first plan failed.
So I moved to my second plan.
As a “police officer who discovered the incident,” I would become the guardian of this unfortunate child.
I would raise Seo Yeo-reum… raise Yeo-reum properly, in the way I wanted…
And I would absolutely never let her become a magical girl.
If she never becomes a magical girl, she won’t have to go through all that tragedy. The reason I even chose the pure route in the game was because I wanted her to be as happy as possible.
That was also why I came to this world—to stop the beginning of that tragic story.
Even though I ultimately failed.
So now, I just had to take her and leave.
I lifted Seo Yeo-reum into my arms and began walking away from the scene.
The bodies of her parents and the monster inside that burning building… I wouldn’t be able to find anything even if I tried. Everything had likely already been burned away.
But then—
“Give her baaaack!!”
Slash!!
An attack came out of nowhere.
A desperate strike from a monster that was still alive. A final blade filled with all its remaining life force.
It flew straight toward me. Too fast to block. Too fast to dodge.
And maybe that’s why—
Crunch!!
I showed something I should never have shown to her.
To Seo Yeo-reum.
Thankfully, she seemed to still be unconscious.
“Cough… ghk… that tentacle… don’t tell me… no way…”
“You didn’t die immediately. Was she weaker than expected? Or did you try that hard? Either way, unlucky.”
“You… trai… tor…”
Smash!
Without letting it finish, I struck its head with a tentacle.
Its already weakened body finally gave out, and the monster died.
And that was the second reason I realized this world wasn’t Korea anymore, but the Korea inside Magical Girl Estia.
Because I had become a police officer… and at the same time, a tentacle monster and mid-boss.
“Uuuh…”
Seo Yeo-reum stirred in my arms.
I covered her eyes.
Well, I tried to.
But I still wasn’t used to this body, so instead of hands, tentacles covered her eyes.
I was a bit flustered, but I forced myself to stay calm and started humming.
“Sleep… sleep… our Yeo-reum… sleeps well… our Yeo-reum…”
It was an awkward lullaby, but for a ten-year-old girl who had just gone through a disaster, it didn’t matter.
She fell asleep again.
I quietly sighed in relief and returned with her.
For the record, I didn’t report the real situation. I simply said, “I found a child collapsed on the street.”
The incident had occurred far from my patrol area, so if I told the truth, I would definitely be questioned.
Because of that, the police concluded it was a monster with teleportation abilities.
Honestly, this monster setting is really convenient at times.
Three weeks passed.
Finally, that day arrived.
“Hey, Gu Hyun-min. Are you really sure about this?”
“What do you mean?”
“Why are you raising a kid with no connection to you? Even if you’re in the special unit, your salary is low. And you could die anytime.”
I ignored the captain’s words and opened the door to the shelter.
Inside, Seo Yeo-reum sat blankly reading a book.
I walked toward her while replying to the captain.
“Because she has no family. Just like I didn’t. No one understands the pain of an orphan better than someone who grew up without parents.”
“Hah, listen to this kid. Acting all wise at twenty.”
A police orphan raising a child who became an orphan through tragedy.
What a tear-jerking story.
So please… don’t interfere with my perfect plan to remove magical girls.
