The Tutor's Day
Over thirty minutes, Kyle and Catherine had been talking inside.
I and Sebastian had been quietly waiting for them to come out.
Honestly, it was boring, but since I was acting as a servant, waiting was part of the daily routine.
I had been waiting outside for Catherine to arrive today as well.
Compared to waiting outside, waiting inside was better in every way.
Well, it was good except for one part.
While waiting for Catherine, I had been waiting with the other servants, but now Sebastian, who was neither close nor to my liking, was standing right next to me.
Because of that, I couldn't relax.
"Sebastian?"
Just as I was waiting, Catherine came out first from the reception room.
Following her, Kyle emerged with a somewhat strange expression.
The expression was completely different from when he had gone in.
When he entered, he had looked a bit bewildered, but now something was off.
What on earth had they been talking about inside to make Kyle's face like that?
"Where is the room I will be staying in?"
"I will guide you."
For now, I decided to guide Catherine.
The conversation with Kyle was a bit disappointing, but it could be put off a bit later.
From the reception room, we passed through the corridor, went down the stairs, and passed through the corridor again.
"You may stay here. The maids are always roaming the hallways, so if there is any discomfort or something you need, please tell them."
"Yes. Sophia."
Catherine knew my name too.
Why did Sebastian know it, Catherine know it, and why did they know the name of just the tutor?
"Sebastian, have you finished sorting the luggage?"
"Yes. I instructed the other servants to move Lady Catherine's luggage to a separate room."
"Hmm... All right. Sebastian, you can rest as well."
"Yes."
With that said, Catherine entered the room.
It wasn't as large and luxurious as Kyle's room, but it was still sufficient to live in.
For meals, the maids would call her, and I and Kyle had nothing special to do for her.
As soon as I entered Catherine's room, without any conversation with Sebastian, I walked to where Kyle might be.
Kyle, who probably found it uncomfortable to wear the coat, was likely changing clothes in his own room.
Having lived here for several years, I had come to know his personality.
Kyle... disliked dressing up.
Even though he had comfortable clothes, he found it uncomfortable to wear pants that didn't stretch, and he disliked accessories that interfered with movement.
Still, when he received accessories as gifts, he preferred necklaces or rings.
For accessories attached to clothes, he kept them because they were uncomfortable to move in.
"Young Master, I am entering."
"Just a moment...!"
As I opened Kyle's door and entered, I saw Kyle in the middle of putting on his shirt.
Was he embarrassed?
After all, I wasn't a proper woman.
It wasn't the first time I had seen Kyle's bare body, and over three years, I had seen it several times, so there was no need to be startled by this.
"Hurry and change. If the prince of the Eristirol Duchy isn't properly dressed, it won't do."
"..."
Following my words, Kyle stopped and moved again.
Perhaps because there was someone in front, he moved faster.
"Young Master, what kind of conversation did you have with Lady Oldenburg inside?"
"Um... It wasn't anything special."
"I see."
Having talked for about thirty minutes, it probably wasn't a serious topic.
Even though we had talked about serious things, our closeness was such that he didn't say anything.
Kyle's face seemed a bit red, but probably nothing was wrong.
"I have guided Lady Oldenburg to her room. Is there anything else you would like me to do for her?"
"Um... For now, let's just let her stay until she says something herself."
"Yes."
"You haven't exercised today yet, Sophia?"
"Yes."
"Since the conversation with Lady Oldenburg is over, let's go outside."
"Yes."
Kyle's reason for changing clothes wasn't just discomfort.
As always, Kyle and I started exercising on the side where the knights weren't training.
Whether it was because it was a fantasy world or because Kyle had superhuman physical abilities from birth, it was unbelievable.
Probably, he could run about 3km lightly in ten minutes.
With mana, it would be even faster.
"Huff..."
I spent time watching Kyle exercising next to me.
Honestly, I thought maybe I didn't need to watch him anymore, but since I was his direct servant, I had to stick with him.
Having watched Kyle exercise for several years, it was boring too...
"Young Master, do you have any intention of learning swordsmanship or magic?"
"Again with that talk?"
"Yes."
I asked the young man holding the dumbbell again.
He was no longer twelve, but fifteen.
Kyle was now at an age where he had to learn at least one of them.
Although the Grand Duke hadn't said anything about it after that, I thought we should start by the end of this year.
I heard that before becoming a duke, he had to go out and hunt, so he needed to build some skill.
"..."
"Can you teach me, Sophia?"
"Yes."
No matter that I was the tutor, I couldn't teach swordsmanship to the prince of the ducal family myself.
The sword I used wasn't noble at all, and it wasn't even properly called swordsmanship to begin with.
It was just a sword to catch monsters and block attacks.
If Kyle learned such a sword, he would only be scolded.
How could that be a noble?
For magic, it was unavoidable.
Since I had no talent for magic, I couldn't teach it.
Looking at it this way, I wondered why I had been chosen as a tutor.
Swordsmanship that wasn't even proper, magic I couldn't use, really why?
It was chosen because the young Kyle had allowed it... but thinking back now, it seemed useless.
"Then, following Sophia's words, let's try learning."
Kyle finally decided to learn.
After years of saying it, finally!
Finally decided!
I was honestly so happy I almost jumped for joy, but I held back as much as possible.
After all, as a direct servant, I couldn't run around so excitedly.
"Then, I will contact the Magic Tower. For the sword... I will get it myself."
I needed to properly visit the Eristirol Knights' Order.
Up until now, I hadn't had any reason to go, but now it was different.
"Hup..."
And Kyle continued his exercise.
With his current body, there probably wouldn't be any problems when learning the sword.
There was a slight worry about flexibility, but the lacking parts could be helped by me.
For several years, I had designed Kyle's exercise routine.
Since Kyle wasn't learning swordsmanship, I had focused on fitness and strength.
But now it was different!
Since he had said he would learn swordsmanship, it was good to change his body accordingly.
"Hmm..."
By the way, contacting the Magic Tower was quite a long time.
It wouldn't be bad to contact that guy I used to work with as an adventurer.
A crazy woman who graduated from magic school but didn't work at the Magic Tower but as an adventurer.
I honestly didn't know why she bothered to go through the trouble, but with the skills she showed during the adventurer days, she could be used as an instructor.
She had said she would rest at the Magic Tower at the end, so probably if I mentioned her name at the Magic Tower, she would contact me.
"Young Master, let's finish here for today. The weather is cold."
"Yes."
"Young Master, come this way for a moment."
Kyle had sweated a lot in the cold weather.
No matter how superhuman his body was, he might catch a cold.
There were towels nearby, so there was no need to leave the sweat on his body until he went inside.
"I will wipe the sweat."
I wiped the sweat from Kyle's body.
Even while massaging, I felt it, but it was a truly perfect body.
It was surprising that this was the body of a fifteen-year-old.
"....."
I watched the back, trapezius, deltoid, and erector spinae muscles of Kyle sitting while wiping.
If I had such a body, I probably would have been playing wildly with girls...
How could he have no interest in girls with this body.
And there was the experience of being pushed down by a man before, yet he had no interest in women, which was surprising.
Still, since Catherine had come this time, maybe something would change?
I hadn't had any contact with Catherine, but Catherine's appearance was very beautiful.
I thought I was pretty enough, but comparing to fifteen-year-old was unfair.
Now over twenty, comparing to fifteen was too much.
A blonde beautiful lady and a white-haired handsome prince.
Not a bad combination.
In the web novels I used to read, I hated how ugly or ordinary protagonists ended up with pretty heroines.
Handsome and pretty people should date according to their level.
Like the current Kyle and Catherine.
"Young Master."
"Yes."
"What do you think of Lady Oldenburg?"
"Um..."
Kyle fell into thought.
Probably, since we had only talked for about thirty minutes, I couldn't give a perfect evaluation.
I wasn't looking for a perfect evaluation of Catherine from the thirty minutes.
It was just that I was curious how Kyle thought about Catherine.
"She seemed like a good person. At least, she wasn't a bad person."
"Is that so."
At least, he didn't have bad feelings toward Catherine.
Good.
How could we connect the two to open Kyle's closed heart?
Still fifteen.
Very young age, but for a noble, it wasn't extremely young.
From now on, we had to prepare slowly.
