Ideal Type World Cup
So when she said she was gonna go drain the water… she probably meant she was gonna go rub one out and come back, right?
Wow. In all my years of living, I never thought I'd hear a girl tell me she was gonna go jerk off and come back…
I guess you could call it deeply moving.
Oh, wait a second…
"Your nickname says you're a girl, but are you actually a girl?"
If she really was a girl, like I said before, I wasn't even mad. Hell, if this were the old world, that would've been a reward.
But if a guy was telling me he was gonna go drain the water and come back?
I would never have the confidence to stream again from that day forward.
Thankfully, though—
Sue? What was there to sue over?
It wasn't like I had time to spare, and I definitely wasn't rolling in cash.
Sure, if I took it to civil court, leaned hard into the male-tears buff, and clung on for dear life, I could probably squeeze out a decent payout. I could…
Ah, fuck it. Did I really need to make money that badly?
As the one who'd been harassed, it didn't even feel like that big of a deal. If I ever got desperate for cash, I'd just borrow a little from Maru. I didn't want to earn money that way.
Some people might say, just grit your teeth and do it—but that wasn't how I was built.
If something was going to leave a bad taste in my mouth for the rest of my life, I'd rather not do it in the first place.
That was just the kind of person I was.
"Suing… I mean, I don't know if something like that really warrants it…"
"Well, that doesn't mean you get to make a habit of sexually harassing people, so behave yourselves. Got it?"
"I told you I'm not your dad…"
Just chatting forever wasn't going to cut it either, so doing what Ara had suggested earlier—taking a content recommendation from the viewers and running with it—seemed like a solid plan.
"Since it was sexual harassment, though, I won't give it any special reaction. Thanks for the 100,000 won~ We'll split it exactly three ways. That's three hours of part-time wages, getto!"
I'd naturally planned to split it three ways since the three of us were streaming together—but Maru and Ara, who'd been quietly watching me this whole time, spoke up.
"Hey, hey. Like we said earlier, you're the star of this stream, so let's do a two-way split. Half for you, and we split the other half between us."
"…No, that's not right. What are you talking about?"
"Just do it, oppa. We proposed this with that arrangement in mind from the start."
"You want me to steal money from my little siblings? Does that make any sense? Is that a sentence or a fart?"
"Oppa… I'm not saying this just to get a reaction out of you. If it really bothers you that much, pay us back once your situation improves. Okay? Think of it as our investment."
I wasn't sure if that logic actually held up, but Maru and Ara's stance was so rock-solid that I couldn't dig any further.
"…I don't love it, but fine. Anyway, we turned on the stream without any real plan, so—anyone got something they want to see?"
"I live on the street. Next?"
The scary part was that if Master hadn't picked me up off the street, that line about living on the sidewalk might not have been a joke.
That aside—giving out my home address was overkill, but school was probably fine, right?
"I go to Namyeok High. Next?"
"Nope. Never have. For the record, Maru is currently starring in a pure-love childhood-sweetheart romance, so don't even think about it. Maru's girlfriend is terrifying—if she gets mad, you're all going straight to jail, so keep that in mind."
"You don't seem to want to believe me, but whatever, suit yourselves. Dating should be fine, honestly—as long as you can get past the social stigma. So if you're a girlfriend brave enough to take that on, and you can support one whole man on your own? Looking forward to plenty of support."
"How old are you?"
"Wow~! Absolutely zero shame, huh~"
Of course. A young person pulling in eighty million a year, owning property in Seoul, and driving a foreign car? Not impossible, sure—but vanishingly rare.
"I think you should start by developing the ability to feed yourself first?"
"Ah. Fair point."
At the viewer's comment, I checked the viewer count—and at some point it had already climbed past fifty.
The stream was doing better than I'd expected.
It was a little disorienting, but good things were good things.
"What personality controversy? I just stated a fact."
An Ideal Type World Cup, huh…
Honestly, one of the soccer YouTubers I watched regularly did Ideal Type World Cups all the time, so it wasn't an unfamiliar format.
The only thing that worried me was that the whole thing lived and died on the host's banter—would it even be fun if I did it?
"Would it even be entertaining if I ran it?"
The chat was into it, so I pulled up the Ideal Type World Cup site and started browsing.
"Idols? Actresses? Streamers? What should I do?"
Right—for live streaming, AfreecaTV or Twitch actually had more of an edge than YouTube, didn't they?
If we were planning to do a lot of live streams and not just pre-recorded videos, sticking exclusively to YouTube felt a little off.
Maru must have read my mind, because he spoke up.
"I looked into it already—live streaming is definitely better on those platforms. But Afreeca's a little too spicy for us, I think. I was thinking Twitch might be the move."
"Yeah? Twitch, huh…"
"I was gonna ask you after we wrapped this up, but since it came up—want to pick in front of the viewers?"
"Should I?"
Honestly, most of the people I watched were on Afreeca, but my own personality leaned more Twitch, so I was a little torn.
Once you committed, switching platforms carried a pretty big risk—so this first choice had to be a careful one.
"What do you all think is better?"
Afreeca
Twitch
Twitch
Twitch
Twitch
Twitch
The viewers were overwhelmingly in favor of Twitch.
Curious about why the gap was so lopsided, I asked the people who'd recommended Twitch first for their reasoning.
"Why Twitch? What's the advantage?"
"Twitch is soft?"
I'd already been leaning Twitch, and hearing that tipped me even further in that direction.
Still, I couldn't only hear one side—so I decided to hear out the viewer who'd recommended Afreeca too.
"Viewer who recommended Afreeca? What's your reasoning…?"
Chat went quiet for a while. I was just starting to think we should move on when a single message finally appeared.
…Huh?
"And how does that benefit me…?"
"…Got it~"
And so it was decided—our next live streams would be on Twitch.
"Then should we do a Twitch Streamer World Cup?"
"Probably a bit of the earlier stuff plus the Ideal Type World Cup, yeah?"
After a quick bit of banter with the chat, I didn't drag things out—I jumped straight into the World Cup.
Since we'd only turned the stream on for fun and weren't planning to go long, I started at the Round of 32.
And so the Ideal Type World Cup began.
"Oh damn, she's gorgeous. Those dimples are insanely charming."
"Whoa, is this body even legal? Look at those abs…"
"Wow… this is someone I'd pay money to look at. Is this a photoshoot?"
"Ah, this one is genuinely adorable. Aww~ look at those big eyes. I want to take her home and keep her."
"People like this have been streaming and I didn't know? Man, I've wasted half my life…"
No, it wasn't social maneuvering—they really were all pretty.
Was it that pretty people streamed, or that people who streamed were pretty…?
Of course, it looked that way because the World Cup had gathered only attractive people to begin with—but still.
We kept going, and in the finals it came down to the dimple girl I'd praised earlier versus the one with the sexy abs.
"How is everyone this pretty? Oh, right—but I'm actually into people with attractive voices, so this doesn't really matter that much to me."
And right then, the streamer I'd said had charming dimples showed up in my stream.
Miu donated 100,000 won
"Hello! I heard about you from a viewer and came to check it out—it's truly an honor! Would a collab stream be possible sometime, if you're free?"
"Uh—huh? Whoa, thank you for the 100,000 won! A collab? Of course that's fine! The honor's all mine!!"
Oops?
