The Protect Ha-neul Club
What the hell, a week had already flown by since the semester started. That meant OT week was officially over. During that time, I’d gotten to know a few of my classmates. For the record, none of them had approached me first. It was all thanks to Ha-jun. With his wide social circle and easygoing personality, people came up to him, and while they were at it, they’d casually throw a few words my way too.
“I can’t figure out why they bother.” It’s not like I was going to punch anyone just for talking to me. Did I really give off that unapproachable vibe? Even when I felt annoyed, I smiled and treated them warmly. If I’d planned to spend college as a total loner, I wouldn’t have bothered coming to campus in the first place. Even if I wasn’t particularly interested in classes or grades, I came here wanting a fulfilling university life.
“I should actually attend lectures too. I’ve already skipped quite a few under the excuse of OT week…”
Anyway, our group—including me—stood out among the law students. We were the first tight-knit circle to form, but that wasn’t the only reason. “Everyone in our group draws attention.” Ha-jun and Chae-eun were the ultimate insiders who knew everyone in their year. Yoo-ra noona had already been famous as a senior. And Ha-neul… in just one week, word of her pure, innocent beauty had spread among the freshmen so much that even I heard seniors and juniors were gunning for her.
“Jun-seong…” Unfortunately, he wasn’t hanging out with us anymore. He’d probably distanced himself because he felt burdened. Still, we exchanged brief greetings and small talk when we ran into each other, so I didn’t push it.
In the end, it was two guys and three girls—five of us total. We hung out whenever we had free time, but the trio of me, Ha-jun, and Chae-eun spent the most time together. The other two were held back by being in different years. Yoo-ra noona seemed carefree and independent, so she didn’t mind, but Ha-neul always looked disappointed that we couldn’t all be together.
Maybe that’s why…
“Cough—!?” I spat out the coffee I’d been holding in my mouth at the sight of the explicit photo Ha-neul had sent.
“Kyaa! Why’d you suddenly spit it out, Sol oppa?”
“Sorry, Chae-eun. If it got on your clothes, I’ll buy you new ones.”
“It didn’t get on my clothes, so it’s fine! Hehe, actually, it’s like holy water from a handsome guy. Maybe I should’ve let it hit me?”
“What the hell are you saying…”
“Just kidding, just kidding~ I’ll help you wipe it up~”
After apologizing to Chae-eun again, I quickly wiped the spilled coffee off the table with tissues. By the way, “Sol oppa” was the special nickname Chae-eun used for me. As more people started knowing me and underclassmen began calling me “Hansol oppa,” she said she wanted to call me something unique. I told her to do whatever she wanted.
More importantly— “That little Ha-neul, how dare she pull this kind of prank?” What if someone had seen it? She’d been sending me weird messages like this whenever I went to class alone. Last time she secretly took a photo of her chest in the lecture hall and sent it. This time, it was a photo of her pussy. The angle was messy and the surroundings were dark, so she must’ve quickly snapped it under her skirt during class. I didn’t stop her since it seemed like her way of relieving stress. Instead, I saved the precious photo in my gallery.
“Why’d you suddenly spit out your coffee, hyung?”
“Ah. I choked while drinking. Ha-neul sent me some weird photo out of nowhere.”
“Ha-neul sent something to you, hyung?”
Ha-jun looked puzzled at the mention of his sister. We had a group chat with all five of us, after all. He probably wondered if we were close enough to message each other privately. I answered without missing a beat.
“We’ve been competing to see who can send the weirder photo lately. You know, those strange AI videos of cats dancing and stuff.”
“Ha-neul’s been sending you things like that…? You two must’ve gotten pretty close in just a week.”
Ha-jun stared at me with surprised eyes. It seemed like pure curiosity rather than displeasure. Wanting to know who his little sister was getting close to was probably an unavoidable big-brother instinct.
“We’ve been hanging out a lot lately. Compared to when we first met, she talks more and even plays around a bit.”
“She’s always been like that. Once she opens up, she lets her guard down completely. It’s just hard to get close to her at first.”
He soon grinned with a satisfied smile. “I’m glad she’s gotten close to you, hyung. I feel a bit more at ease.”
“What do you mean, more at ease?”
“You know, right? Those weird rumors going around about Ha-neul lately.”
“Ah, that.” The rumor that more and more seniors were hitting on Ha-neul. Just like that guy Go Dong-gu who’d blocked her path and tried to get her number. There were plenty of Go Dong-gu 2.0s and 3.0s trying to seduce the innocent Ha-neul. Ha-jun gave a bitter smile.
“I don’t say this in front of her because it’d give her goosebumps… but as her brother, I’m worried.”
“I get it. I understand how you feel.”
I always bickered with my own sister, but if some guy like me kept approaching her, I’d be pissed too. Of course, unlike Ha-jun, I had zero worries about our Ha-neul. “My sister’s looks are nowhere near Ha-neul’s level. From the most objective big-brother perspective, that is.” Plus, even in her senior year of high school, she was still chasing after celebrities like an idiot, so her standards were ridiculously high. Most guys got rejected by their faces alone before they could even try.
Anyway, it was already too late to worry. I’d already claimed every single one of Ha-neul’s holes and thoroughly devoured her. No wonder she was sending me photos of her pussy. From a big brother’s point of view, it must be driving him crazy.
“Why does it feel so thrilling that Ha-jun doesn’t know about this? Seriously, I’m turning into a total piece of trash.”
I was dying to say “Your sister’s amazing too” after already saying “Your older sister was great,” but I held back because it felt morally wrong.
“But if you’re the one protecting Ha-neul, hyung, then as her brother I can relax a little.”
“You trust me too much. If we’re being technical, I’m a guy too, you know?”
“I can trust you because you’re the guy who drank all that alcohol for Ha-neul’s sake back at the bar.”
He was referring to the time I drank in Ha-neul’s place at the bar. His eyes were quite serious. That trusting gaze. Whew, I’m touched. To think he believes in me this much. In that case, it’s only right that I accept that trust. With a serious expression, I patted his shoulder.
“You little punk… Alright, trust this hyung. As long as it’s within my reach, I’ll look after your sister.”
“Hansol hyung…”
He grabbed my hand tightly with a moved expression and called my name. “Ha-jun…” I called his name affectionately in return. Under the great tree named Lee Ha-neul, we formed a sworn brotherhood. One to protect his sister. The other to protect the ownership of her pussy.
“Huh? What are you two doing holding hands so creepily?”
Just then, Chae-eun returned from throwing out the trash.
“Then me too! I want to protect Ha-neul too! She’s my cute junior as well! It’d be unfair if you left me out!”
After roughly hearing the story from Ha-jun, Chae-eun reached out and joined our hands. How did it suddenly come to this? We jokingly placed our hands together and formed the “Protect Ha-neul” alliance without Ha-neul herself.
That silly pledge came to an end. After spending some time in the department lounge, we headed up together for our major class when Ha-jun spoke to me.
“Hyung, how’s the Korean Beauty and Wisdom class these days?”
“Korean Beauty and Wisdom” was the liberal arts class I had on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. I’d thrown it into my schedule just to fill credits. “How would I know? I haven’t attended it even once.”
Tuesdays I had “body consultations” with Ha-neul, and Thursdays I was too lazy to wake up early since I probably wouldn’t know anyone there anyway, so I just didn’t go.
“Ah, so that’s why you didn’t react at all. Then you probably don’t know this either?”
“Know what?”
“Ye-rin noona is taking that class too.”
“What?! Why the hell would Lee Ye-rin take that?”
I shouted without thinking, annoyed. People around us glanced over and whispered, but who cares. She was the girl who used to brag about how we should make matching timetables, so it didn’t make sense that she’d take Korean Beauty and Wisdom. But Ha-jun just shook his head like he’d only heard it secondhand, then suddenly looked like he remembered something.
“I don’t know either… Ah!”
“What? Did you remember something?”
“The TA said she suddenly changed her timetable even though she wasn’t taking Korean Beauty and Wisdom before.”
That gave me a hypothesis. What if she found out I was taking the class and changed her schedule on purpose? Deliberately taking the same class as her ex-boyfriend. To other people it would make zero sense, but given what Yoo-ra noona had said…
“…Does she really want to get back together with me?”
It was definitely possible.
“Bullshit.”
“Huh?”
“I wasn’t talking to you. Anyway, thanks for telling me, Ha-jun. I’m not going to that class starting today.”
“Because of Ye-rin noona?”
“Obviously.”
“I already heard that you and Ye-rin noona broke up badly… but aren’t you wasting your credits?”
“I’ll just treat it like I never had those credits. I can work harder next semester.”
I chuckled and shrugged. What’s the big deal about missing one class? It’s not like my life would change because of it. I had overwhelming wealth that wouldn’t be shaken by something so trivial.
Putting my arms around both of their shoulders, I said, “Let’s just go to class. Imagining Lee Ye-rin getting all worked up is going to help my digestion today.”
