It's Because of You, You Bitch!
"It's because of you, you bitch!"
She had always been terrible at expressing her feelings.
Getting worked up over the smallest things, exploding into rage at the drop of a hat—that was simply who she was, as natural to her as breathing. For someone like that, the emotion of liking another person felt utterly alien and awkward. The ways she tried to show it were clumsy beyond belief.
And the result…
…was the absolute worst ending she had never wanted, the one unfolding right now.
The only man in the entire world who had ever taken her anger and endured it. The fact that he had finally grown sick of her and left her side completely—that truth hit her with a pain so deep she wanted to make excuses to herself. So deep she wanted to shove the blame onto someone else.
"Hah… hah… damn it…"
Seo Jiyun arrived at the bus stop in a rush. The moment she got there, she saw Na Jiseon collapsed on the ground in front of her, staring blankly into space, and realized she was already too late.
Jiyun wasn't completely dense either. She could tell that Lee Jinhyun, their former adjutant, had left this place for good.
That bastard… he really left? Lee Jinhyun actually walked out on our 28th Guild?
Technically, Guild Master Sena had made the call on her own, and Yujin had gone along with it. But Jiyun understood the truth. Those two might have started it and pulled the trigger, but Jinhyun was the one who accepted the discharge.
Even if it was an order from the guild master, if Jinhyun had dug in his heels, refused to leave, and reported the injustice up the chain, the whole situation could have turned around. Any hunter who actually knew how this guild ran would have backed him up without hesitation. Jiyun herself would have done the same.
But Jinhyun never even tried to use the rights he still had. Instead, he packed his bags the very next day like he'd been waiting for the chance and walked out.
For Jiyun, that was the worst-case scenario she had never even considered.
No way… he just took the discharge right then and there? He threw away a five-million-won salary and the chance to hang around beauties like us just to become a jobless bum?
It was a conclusion she simply could not understand. Sure, she had tormented him a little, but she had also granted that plain-looking commoner the honor of touching her body under the pretense of massages. And every time that rage-aholic Na Jiseon tried to kill him, Jiyun had deliberately stepped in to protect him.
It wasn't romantic interest—she just knew he was competent, and that the guild needed him. So she had done him a favor. Yet the bastard left without a single word of thanks, without the slightest lingering attachment.
Ungrateful piece of shit… so this is how you stab me in the back? Fine. Let's see how well you do without us, you fucking bastard.
She was grinding her teeth in fury when her eyes fell on Jiseon, still sitting on the ground like a hollow shell, staring off into nothing. The girl's eyes were swollen from crying her heart out just moments ago. Looking at her, Jiyun felt not even a speck of sympathy. To her, the rage-aholic bitch in front of her was simply one of the two bitches who had caused this entire mess.
"What the hell are you crying for? Get up already."
"…"
Jiyun snapped at her, voice dripping with irritation. Instantly, Jiseon's face—which had looked like a corpse's—twisted. She turned to glare at Jiyun with pure rage, then spoke in a voice thick with boiling emotion.
"It's… because of you…"
"…What?"
"It's because of you, you bitch! You… you tormented him until Oppa left! If it weren't for you… Jinhyun Oppa never would have walked away so coldly!"
"What kind of insane bullshit is that? That's what I should be saying! If you hadn't tried to kill him every five minutes, do you think the adjutant would have left? He at least would have stuck around for my sake instead of vanishing like that!"
"Shut your mouth! Do you know how much I liked Jinhyun Oppa?! How hard I worked to get him to notice me?!"
"Trying to kill someone to get them to like you? I've never heard of that kind of fucked-up logic, you bitch!"
"Shut up, you crazy psycho! Oppa left because of you! Go bring him back right now! Kneel in front of Jinhyun Oppa, offer him your body, do whatever it takes—just bring him back!"
"Why don't you go do that whore shit yourself? You're the only bitch in the world who gets wet for an ugly bastard like him!"
"Don't you dare insult Oppa, you fucking bitch!!!!"
With that, murderous intent exploded from both of them as they lunged at each other. Two S-class hunters unleashed even their superhuman abilities—the very benchmark of their rank—and fought with genuine intent to kill. By the time the entire bus stop area had been reduced to rubble, Yujin and Sena finally arrived and barely managed to stop the bloodbath.
"What the hell do you think you're doing outside the base?! Calm down! Civilians almost got caught in this! Do you actually want to go to the brig?!"
"Let go… let go of me, you bastard! Today I'm going to—!"
Jiseon screamed in fury at Yujin, who was pinning her down with sheer force, but even she couldn't overpower him and break free.
On the other side, Sena had locked down Jiyun's movements. Looking at the two who had caused yet another scene after being told to keep it together, she spoke in a voice thick with irritation.
"I clearly told you both to keep a low profile for a while! Are you even listening?! Until the new adjutant arrives, we have to clean up this entire mess!"
"…Yeah… when you really think about it… this was all your fault…"
A cold voice reached Sena's ears. Unlike Jiseon, who was thrashing around in raw rage, Jiyun's voice was calm and clear—yet filled with unmistakable fury.
"Wh-what… are you talking about?"
"You made this mess. You can't read a situation, can't read people, and you only ever push your own stupid ideas. You ruined everything. If you… if you hadn't discharged the adjutant like that, none of this—"
"…Haa. So that's what this is about? The adjutant? Listen, that guy was a useless parasite. You know that. Everything he did as adjutant never actually helped us—! W-wait—?"
In the next instant, Jiyun shoved Sena away with strength far beyond what anyone expected. Part of it was Sena unconsciously easing her grip, but most of it was the sheer rage driving Jiyun's movements.
Freed from the hold, Jiyun rose to her feet. Thankfully she showed no sign of going on another rampage, but the dangerous air around her kept Sena on guard. Instead of using force, Jiyun simply looked at her and spoke in a freezing voice.
"…That's how you see it? …Yeah. That's why you threw the adjutant away so carelessly. Without a single thought… without the slightest idea of what would happen next…"
"…What do you mean?"
Sena asked, a bad feeling rising in her chest. Jiyun gave no answer. She simply turned and started walking back toward the base.
You'll find out soon enough… just how much that man was carrying for the rest of you.
