I'm the Hero's Son! Not the Demon King's!
I'm the son of the Hero! Not the Demon King's!
In this world, there exists something called a hero—the righteous kind most people imagine, wielding a single sword alongside various companions to subjugate the Demon King. Heroes are showered with glory, respect, and honor. But even heroes are fundamentally human. They grow up within the community of family, eventually forming their own families. They bear children who look just like themselves and their spouse, living out happy lives thereafter.
—That's how I thought it would unfold. And besides, I'm the son of a hero! Hahaha! So everyone would celebrate my birth—
"Y-Young master…! You can't run…! Y-You'll get hu—?!"
"Young Master Kael's run off again? Sigh."
"He's usually so well-behaved, but he always bolts out during history lessons."
"Isn't there any way to convince him? At this rate, we'll end up getting killed by Lady Hero and spending days regenerating our bodies!"
"Ahem, even if it is Young Master Kael, we must hold him firmly. He's a boy, so he's delicate, but as the son of the Hero, his strength must be overflowing."
"Male monsters and human males alike have their genetic limits as males, but the young master is just a child. Please grab him tight."
"Yes!"
The history of the Demon King and Hero joining hands? The world at peace, monsters engaging in normal diplomacy? There's no way such history could be real!
Heroes stand against the Demon King for justice, and Demon Kings try to kill heroes to drown the world in darkness. Isn't that the normal progression…?
I bolted out of that twisted history lesson, hurriedly locked the front gate from the inside, and fled outdoors. Why the hell do I have to learn such broken history?!
Luckily, my small stature let me slip away easily, weaving through every nook and cranny. In my previous life, I'd always hunched over because of my tiny build anyway.
I escaped the dark mansion filled with torches and sprawled out like a starfish on the soft, dewy grass. Warm sunlight bathed me—what a perfect day. If I just nap here a bit, the teacher would eventually give up and come fetch me after ending class. So, eyes closed, feeling the gentle breeze…
"There you are."
"Eek?!"

I'd been basking in cozy bliss when suddenly, arms scooped me up out of nowhere, startling me half to death. I kicked my legs wildly and whipped my head around.
"Who're you?! I'm the son of the He—"
"Yeah~ My boy's the son of a hero, isn't he? Mhm."
"M-Mommy…"
Mom smiled brightly. Her ears weren't pointy. Her round eyes. Her pale skin. Her face and eyes, identical to mine, gazed down at me gently.
"Isn't it time for your history lesson? So why are you lying around in Mommy's training grounds like this?"
"N-No… Th-They're teaching weird stuff! How the Hero and Demon King got married and had kids…!"
"That's how you were born."
"Eeeeng…"
Mom sighed, clearly used to my antics, and pulled me into her embrace. Her warmth and softness melted away any will to resist.
"B-But… Mommy's a super strong hero… Monsters tremble in fear…"
"That's why the head housekeeper's so scared of Mommy. Come on, time for history class. Let's go back to your teacher."
"Taking lessons from a skeleton is super weird!"
"Hey now, he's lived for ages, so he can teach you history."
"Your swordsmanship teacher's a dragon, and the housekeeper's a dullahan!"
"Mhm, I picked all those teachers myself. They were pretty strong, those guys."
I couldn't argue with that. My mom, who single-handedly subjugated the Demon King… and signed a peace treaty. The sequel was that she'd actually fallen in love with the Demon King she was supposed to have defeated, and their child was me.
"Ughh… Sorry…"
"That's what Daddy said the first time Mommy beat him. Such memories~"
The hero mom and the now-vanished Demon King dad. A world without more wars against monsters. And into that world, I was isekai'd as the son of the Hero and the Demon King.
