The Easy Path to Becoming a Villain
After An Minseo’s torrent of vulgar insults in the chat, An Seoyeon started explaining to me what a villain actually was.
An Seoyeon seemed like she was trying to crack jokes or drop some punchlines, but when I didn’t respond she stayed quiet for a few minutes before picking the chat back up.
It seemed like An Seoyeon was the type to fall down explanation rabbit holes or veer off into completely unrelated tangents while chatting. You know, those people who look perfectly normal in everyday life but undergo a personality shift the moment they grab a steering wheel or open social media.
…Actually, from my perspective her everyday life wasn’t exactly “normal” either. No matter how much I embodied the classic sex-slave trope of this eroge world, it was still insane that a teacher would take the lead in tormenting me….
Anyway, she went on and on about history and current events I had zero interest in. There was even a slight… ajae vibe creeping in. An Seoyeon was already in her mid-twenties, so in the original world that was about the age when the uncle energy started showing. The age where kindergarteners would already be calling you “mister” or “ma’am.”
The two of them went silent in the chat for a while. It felt like they were probably arguing in real life instead. After some time passed, An Seoyeon started chatting again.
The two of them kept bombarding me with talk about how the world was these days. I wasn’t interested, so I just skimmed through it half-heartedly. Maybe because both of them were young women in this gender-reversed world, they were really into topics like unfair MeToo cases and the bullshit radical feminists pulled. They excitedly traded all kinds of examples, and if you just swapped the genders it was exactly like the world I used to live in.
Oh, right. Now that I thought about it, during the virtual reality training last time there had been civilian villains too…. So in this world, “villain” was basically just a catch-all term for scoundrels or bad guys? The very existence of the phrase “civilian villain” meant that ordinary people could be treated as villains depending on the situation.
Most villains would be ability users, of course, but the fact that the term “civilian villain” existed at all proved that civilians could become villains too.
…But even back then I still got my ass handed to me by a civilian villain, and now my stats are even lower…
The part about not hitting or tormenting me if I came to the Discipline Department on Monday was tempting. An Seoyeon was still a teacher, so she probably wouldn’t go back on her word. If I just went, let her fuck me a little, wouldn’t everyone end up happy?
But what if it was a trap? What if I went and she suddenly pretended not to know anything and started beating the living shit out of me?
Ah, fuck….
But if I really didn’t go, the Deep Punishment Room was basically guaranteed….
While I was wrestling with those thoughts, the chat room that had gone quiet suddenly exploded with urgent messages.
What the hell. Suddenly the An Minseo I knew from the chat had completely changed character. And the tone somehow sounded like An Seoyeon…?
An Minseo had never bothered putting periods or question marks at the end of her sentences. An Seoyeon, whether because she was a civil servant or just her personality, always put them in sharply like a knife.
While I was staring at the chat, Kim Jina quietly slid up beside me. I panicked and slammed the chat window shut.
“Puppy♡ What kind of messages are you looking at so seriously?”
“…Yes? Ah, it’s nothing…. J-just spam…. H-hahaha….”
“Really? Hehe♡ Then what does our adorable little puppy♡ think about skipping school on Monday?”
“…Eh? Ah, yes…? Ah… t-that is….”
“Hmm♡ Our Dojin♡ The puppy seems to have a different opinion♡”
“Ah, ah… t-that’s not it… that is….”
“Hmmm…♡ Dojin♡ You can tell me honestly♡ Do you want to go to school?”
“Ah… t-that is….”
I couldn’t come up with anything good to say. So, at least to buy some time, I deliberately threw out a random question. It was also something I had been mildly curious about. Might as well ask now.
“…U-um, but something suddenly occurred to me…. It’s not related to this at all, but I’m curious….”
“Hm? What is our puppy♡ curious about?”
“…T-that is… if Jina noona and An Seoyeon fought… who would win…?”
“An Seoyeon? Who’s that… ah…, the Discipline Department teacher? The one with blue hair?”
“Y-yes….”
At my question Kim Jina frowned as if thinking hard, and Lee Jieun cut in, looking at me like I was pathetic.
“Hey. Kim Dojin. Why the hell are you asking such a stupid question? Do you think the Discipline Department teacher is some limp-dick pushover? First of all, every academy teacher is stronger than the students. And An Seoyeon is that famous Blue Fear, the Ice Woman. She’s an elite hunter cadet who graduated early.”
“Ah….”
“She’s such a crazy bitch that even though she only studies and trains there are still rumors she’s a virgin. No matter how strong unnie is among her peers, how could she possibly beat someone who survived hunter academy life—which is basically university—while in the Discipline Department and still never once slept with a man? That kind of insane bitch. She’s famous for the fact that not even a single blade of grass would grow where she pisses.”
“Ah….”
“But that bitch is really something else. The Discipline Department is famous for its obscene training camps during break, so how did she stay a virgin at that age? She’s a legit lunatic. Well, I guess that’s why she’s one of the rare early graduates in academy history. If she’s still a virgin even now, it’s truly legendary. A crazy bitch who poured her entire life into training and studying….”
“…Ah.”
But I was the one who took that virginity….
Still, if I told them I had slept with An Seoyeon and taken her first time, I doubted Kim Jina and Lee Jieun would react well, so I kept my mouth shut.
