The Vice President's Weapon Selection and My Pathetic Virtual Defeat
Choi Seoa, the vice class president, helped me choose my main weapon. Swords, spears, axes, bows, staves, shields, and all sorts of other weapons were lined up, and I had to pick one from among them. They evaluated exam scores based on main weapon proficiency during midterms and finals, which was why the choice mattered.
I knew absolutely nothing about weapons, so I simply went with a sword that looked easy to handle. There were many different types depending on length and characteristics, so I just grabbed one that seemed decent.
“A short one-handed sword? Hmm, that’s short, so you’ll need to use it together with a shield.”
“A shield? Carrying a shield too feels like it’ll be heavy….”
I grumbled but still picked out a reasonably small round shield like Choi Seoa suggested. Once I chose it, she jotted down the model names of the weapons I’d selected on her electronic pad. While writing, her mouth kept moving, and every word was a brutal gut punch of reality.
“Well, weapons wouldn’t mean much to you anyway. You’d be better off looking for ways to escape from women’s hands instead.”
“….”
“But did you know? The boys from the male service club still get targeted by villains even after graduating in six years. They end up as trained sex slaves.”
“…Really? Wow, that’s exactly the information I wanted to hear. Thanks so much.”
“Don’t get sarcastic. I’m telling you this out of kindness.”
She finished entering whatever she was writing on the electronic pad. The paperwork for my main weapon must have been complete.
Main Weapon Selection
Reward: Stat Points
Once the main weapon selection was finished, Choi Seoa led me to the training facility.
“The training facility assigned to our class is simply a space for individual or group training. The academy’s comprehensive training facility uses magic and science to create realistic virtual reality within the space itself. That means you can engage in simulated battles against monsters or famous villains that feel completely real. It’s one of the most expensive and valuable buildings at the National Hunter Academy. I heard it cost trillions to build. The supercomputer in the basement of this facility was insanely expensive too.”
“Whoa…. But if it’s such an expensive facility, why is the security system so lax?”
If it was that valuable, the blonde bitch of a homeroom teacher shouldn’t have given out the entry password so easily. Or rather, hadn’t someone among the classmates hacked the system to find out how to get in here in the first place?
“No one can steal it, and to destroy it you’d have to access the underground security room, which is nearly impossible. Users can’t damage the system from the surface level. That’s why security for general surface users is relatively lax.”
“I see.”
The vice president roughly explained that this kind of training facility existed, that you sometimes needed to reserve it in advance depending on the situation, and that virtual reality simulated battles against virtual monsters or villains worked in such-and-such a way. Of course I didn’t fully understand it, so I knew I’d fumble like an idiot if I tried to do it alone. Choi Seoa had explained it pretty carelessly too.
“Hey. Since I’m already here, can I train for an hour?”
“An entire hour? …That’s annoying.”
“Please? And show me how to set up the virtual reality simulated battle one more time. I don’t get what you’re saying. What does this button do? And why is the entire setup in English? I’m bad at English.”
“Because the company that made this is American, obviously… Sigh. Move over. I’ll do it. So, what kind of opponent do you want to fight?”
“What’s the weakest one? I just need to kill an hour.”
“Time isn’t what matters in training. Even a single minute of realization and hard work is what’s important. Oh, do you have some kind of time-related trait? Are you an awakened with that type of ability?”
“…Uh, um…, well….”
Should I tell her this?
As I hesitated, Choi Seoa flinched and put on an apologetic expression.
“Never mind. I’m sorry. You don’t have to say anything. I accidentally asked about your trait and awakening ability. My mistake.”
From her reaction, it seemed that asking about someone’s awakening ability or trait without them offering the information first was rude.
“…Still, after we’ve mixed our bodies together like that, you could at least tell me a little….”
She was muttering under her breath, so it looked like people shared that kind of information if they were friends or close. I found her mumbling cute, so I reached out and stroked her hair.
“Fine. Then I’ll put in one of the weakest opponents—an ordinary female villain. Let’s do one simulated battle. A regular woman will be much easier to deal with than a monster that moves like a wild beast. Still, even though it’s simulated, you shouldn’t let your guard down. You won’t get real injuries, but the pain will be transmitted exactly as it is. Unless it’s pain intense enough to cause shock, the computer won’t block it and will deliver the full sensation to you.”
“Yeah. Got it.”
“Also, every villain and monster has different behavior patterns and personalities, so their movements will all vary, but they’ll generally act like the real thing. If you let your guard down thinking they’re just fakes created by a computer and magic, you’ll get hurt badly.”
“I know, I know. Just summon it already.”
I listened to her warnings half-heartedly while idly swinging my sword and shield. Choi Seoa’s forehead seemed to twitch with a bulging vein at my attitude, but I told myself I must have seen it wrong.
“I’ll set her strength at ordinary person level but make her personality pretty vicious.”
When Choi Seoa operated the training facility’s device, I suddenly found myself standing in a new space. It was a gloomy back alley in a gray-toned city where sunlight never reached. In that alley stood me and one woman.
Oh, this is amazing. So it switches straight into virtual reality like this?
I looked at the female villain. But she… was prettier than I expected? She had a plain, modest appearance, but for an ordinary person she was quite attractive.
Your opponent is the standard beginner power gauge: one adult female villain NPC armed with a dagger. Starting the battle now. Begin.
“Hunter? Tsk, I’ve been found out. Die!”
The female villain immediately charged at me.
“Huh? Hey! You didn’t even wait for my answer! No time to mentally prepare, you just jump straight into it like this?!”
The female villain closed the distance in an instant and rushed me. She was supposed to be an ordinary woman, one of the weakest opponents! Was this really the beginner power gauge? Why was she so fast? She really felt like she was trying to kill me. In a world of reversed gender roles, a guy like me was frail. If an ordinary woman came at me like this in my original world, where women were weak and a knife-wielding man attacked…
Stab!
The female villain’s dagger sank into my side. Blood sprayed. It hurt like hell.
“Aaaaaaaaagh!!!”
Choi Seoa’s voice rang out from the air, giving unhelpful advice. Fuck, I suddenly hated Choi Seoa so much. Backseat gamer, get out!
“Aaaaaagh! Fuck!! That’s easy for you to say!!”
“Fuck, is this hunter really this weak? Are you even a real hunter?”
The ordinary female villain spat on the ground and asked me. Then she raised her dagger again. It looked like she was going to stab me once more. It was fucking terrifying.
I clung to Choi Seoa in my mind.
“…S-Save me!! Save me, Seoa!!”
The villain swung her blade again. I instinctively rolled across the ground, using the alley’s terrain to dodge here and there, but the female villain showed no mercy. I lost my sword and shield at some point. Scratches and shallow cuts appeared all over me. The pain and stamina drain gradually exhausted me. It hurt. It was exhausting. It was hopeless.
Worse, the female villain picked up the sword and shield I had dropped. Any chance of victory I might have had plummeted straight into the abyss. After filming an escape drama in the city alley, I eventually tripped and got caught from behind. The villain, annoyed from chasing me, stomped on both my hands with her foot and crushed them.
“Gaaaaaaaaaagh!!!!!”
The pain was so intense I felt like I would faint and lose my mind. Fuck, I thought you said it blocked pain before it reached shock level! Worried I might run away again, the villain even severed the tendons in both my feet. My Achilles tendon? It felt like it had been cut.
Choi Seoa, you fucking bitch! Is that really an ordinary person?! Fuck, isn’t she more like an A-rank or S-rank villain? Why is she so good at fighting…. Fuck.
“Hic, ugh…, s-save me…. Is this really an ordinary woman? Sob sob….”
The villain smiled faintly. I felt the terror of death.
“This hunter is ridiculously weak…. Hey, hunter. Do you want to live?”
“Y-Yes….”
The villain crouched beside me, grinning as she spoke. I was in so much pain and so desperate to live that I nodded frantically.
“Then I won’t kill you. But from now on, you have to listen carefully to everything I say, okay?”
“Y-Yes…. I’ll listen well….”
“Now that I look at you, you’re actually kind of charming. I’ll heal you too. If you listen to me.”
The villain hoisted me onto her back and carried me deeper into the alley. A completely secluded, deep part of the back alley. I didn’t resist her rough hands at all. Inside the deep alley, the ordinary female villain took out something like a magic ointment and applied it to my hands and feet. She also applied a hemostatic and magic ointment to the stab wound on my side. The bleeding stopped and the wound seemed to heal rapidly. The pain eased a little. But her hands were rough while applying it, so it hurt quite a bit. The abrasions and regular cuts especially stung like crazy when she used regular ointment and disinfectant on them.
“Ugh!”
“This hunter is such a fucking baby. Hey, endure it a little. I’m treating you right now. If I leave you like this, you’ll have to live as a cripple with ruined hands and feet. Are you even a real hunter?”
The female villain seemed to be treating me with a certain amount of care. And perhaps because the treatment worked, the pain faded considerably and my crushed hands and feet looked significantly better. Both hands had been completely destroyed and the tendons in my feet looked severed, yet the magic ointment was surprisingly effective.
As I stared at my healing hands and the tendons in my legs, the female villain smiled and stroked my head. Then she took off her skirt.
Huh?
“Hey. You fucking weak hunter. It’s time to pay this big sis for the treatment, don’t you think? I’ll get you pregnant with my baby.”
(“Hey. You fucking weak hunter. Now you have to pay this oppa for the treatment, right? I’ll get you pregnant with a baby.”)
In that moment, the situation suddenly made sense as if I’d heard a hallucination. I was such a fucking weak male hunter that I was now about to get fucked by this female villain.
The villain removed her skirt and panties, revealing a pussy with a light dusting of hair. Her experienced-looking folds were already slick and sticky with arousal. I suspected this villain had planned to fuck me from the moment she dragged me into this dark alley for “treatment.” After all, why would a villain use expensive-looking magic ointment on me otherwise?
Wait, but fuck. This was supposed to be virtual reality—why did they implement something like this too?
“I’m going to take your pants off, so stay still. If you resist, you know what happens, right?”
The villain pulled down my pants. I didn’t resist at all. Resisting would mean facing the knife at her waist. It was terrifying.
“Wow, your cock is fucking huge? Shit, and it looks so delicious. Fuck, hahaha, I must be really lucky today.”
