Chapter 190
"Three sizes, please... 'But unnie, she'll draw illustrations just if you ask her to...'"
"...Really? Isn't she busy?"
"It's not like she's not busy or anything, but if unnie asks, of course she'll draw it."
It hasn't even been that long since Yuna unnie helped me out. She draws even the highest-quality illustrations I consistently upload to my YukiNyang account just if I ask nicely.
"...Seol-ah..."
Suddenly Yuna unnie's voice turns all emotional, leaving me flustered and at a loss.
"Seol-ah... I love you... Of course you'll love Sion, but..."
"W-what are you even saying...!"
Anyone overhearing this would swear some cheesy morning drama was playing. Still, seeing how thrilled she is makes me wish I'd gifted her even a quick sketch sooner.
Yuna unnie's exceptionally stunning—to the point where, if she weren't from Earth, I'd have begged to draw her without asking. Especially that signature sharp bob of hers; it's perfect for subculture-style illustrations. My personal theory? Sharp bobs are always the prettiest in 2D, and only the chosen few can rock them IRL. That's why, the first time I spotted her in Astasia, I straight-up gulped. Back then, I was like, Yep, otherworld perks—people like this actually exist.
But when the model herself asks you to draw her? As an illustrator, pure bliss. Drawing from pure imagination is way tougher than working with a live reference, after all.
"Unnie, wanna watch if you're not busy?"
"Heck yes! The staff at my cafe keep telling me not to come in. 'Please stop breaking cups...'"
"...Your employees sound great."
"Yeah. The fact they can say that to the boss shows how much love they pour into the place. Not to mention what it says about Yuna unnie's character."
"But you're talking about watching me draw, right?"
"Yeah. Lemme just check with oppa first."
It's just a club for now, but Doyun oppa's the most passionate about games, so everyone trusts him. Who knows—might turn into a real company someday. Better to build the habit of getting his approval upfront. He's probably working too, so time to ping him.
Doyun oppa approved, so no holds barred. I fire up the sub-monitor, grab my trusty tablet and pen from their spot on the table.
"Unnie, screen share?"
"Yeah. I'm so hyped—what do I do...?"
"...Unnie, that's putting pressure on me. I can just draw with it off..."
"...No way, I'll even sponsor you—keep it on, pleeease. I'm dying to see..."
I was joking, but her desperation makes me grin. Chatting with unnie like this? I get why Baek Sion keeps teasing me nonstop.
...Like having a punching bag right in front of you and not swinging.
"Unnie, mind sending a pic?"
"...I hardly ever take selfies..."
"It'll differ from the real thing anyway, but details matter, right?"
Yuna unnie's got super sharp features starting from her eyes, but even the flashiest IRL face can't match a standard 2D character's proportions. Old anime got flak for eyes taking up half the face, remember? So yeah, live reference or at least a photo helps tons.
"...Okay. Gimme a sec?"
She says "sec," but I just hear rustling for ages. I stretch my fingers, warming up my drawing muscles. Even grabbing the pen daily, art always feels fresh. Been at it since making it my life's goal—time flies, but the thrill? Timeless. Heck, I was doodling on exam day to chill.
"Unnie, you crafting a camera in there? Casual snap's fine."
"...Yeah, got it."
Her voice sounds kinda sheepish. I download the file, pop it on the main monitor, pen in hand—then freeze.
"...Sorry, Seol-ah. I really suck at selfies..."
"......"
Okay, if it was just "meh," even I—who's bad at white lies—would say it's fine. But this? She legit can't take pics.
"...Unnie, isn't this the ulzzang angle? Like, trendy 10 years ago? Pretty sure it was around before I started elementary..."
Photo tips are everywhere these days. But Yuna unnie sounds a tad down.
"It was trending in school... Weren't you in elementary when I started uni...?"
"Oh."
"...At 27, I'm basically a chi—er, old hag..."
"Pfft, old my ass."
What's "dak" mean? And she's so friendly-cute, it slipped my mind—but 7 years is a legit gen gap. Her chic look hides the adorable type perfectly.
"Check this. I rocked this vibe right up to graduation."
"......"
One glance at the new upload, and bam—realization: anime's "glasses-wearing gloomy girl is actually peak beauty" trope exists IRL.
Those lenses must've been thicc... Plus, her hair half-hid her face back then, unlike now.
"Just buried in books. Barely any selfies..."
"Unnie, I've never seen someone capture their looks this badly IRL."
"......"
Issue is, some old pic someone else took—gloomy vibes aside—looks better quality than her fresh one.
"Unnie, everyone has their angle, but try holding the phone straight-on first."
"Got it."
"Now, no arm up—twist just your wrist to tilt it, top toward you."
Feels like remote drone piloting, but I know this'll beat the last one.
"Whoa."
Her pure awe hits different. ...With that face, she owes her phone an apology for those selfies.
"Send that one."
"Seol-ah, are you a genius? How without seeing...?"
...I'm no selfie queen myself, but getting whipped into shape by Park Harin leveled me up. Aesthetic sense helped too.
"Alright, let's draw for real. Don't overhype—this is just roughing the feel."
"Gotcha. Thinking of ordering chicken now."
What the—?! I hear stifled giggles through the headset, but we've been bantering all morning, so I pick up the pen meekly.
Been itching to draw her forever—my hand practically dances. Face deform done in a flash. Pretty satisfied, I ask for feedback.
"Whaddya think? Anything to tweak?"
"Seol-ah, you're a pro, huh...?"
"...Well, I do make money off art..."
Calling myself pro feels iffy, but to normies? Yeah.
"But it's so good...? Can I make this my pfp?"
"This test run? Go wild. Not official artwork though."
Proper pieces I save for later release unless targeting something specific. I crop and send the mini-sketch—boom, her chat profile swaps instantly.
...She really loves it.
"Now for the real deal. Hit me with poses or vibes ASAP."
"Sure. Grabbing popcorn."
Thought she meant "for funsies," but nah—soon, intermittent munching echoes in.
Full spectator mode. But first, one question. I peek at Baek Sion through the monitor gap, confirm his headset's on, then whisper:
"...Unnie, if possible, your three sizes...?"
"......"
Popcorn crunch cuts dead. Five seconds later:
"...Knew it, but you're bolder than I thought, Seol-ah."
"Kyaaah! ...No, for body ref when drawing!..."
Like I'd drop that outta nowhere otherwise... (Waist does intrigue me, but shh.) Dodged pervy vibes by a hair—my voice pitches up. Unnie, pleased, spills quick:
"33-23-36."
"23?"
"Yup."
...Thought my waist was slim, but Yuna unnie's next-level slender beauty confirmed. Mid-inner swoon, new voice chimes:
"What? Girls' room in here?"
"Morning, Seo-yeon."
"...Lee Seo-yeon, when'd you get here?"
"Just washed up. Heard juicy talk, had to join. Girl-exclusive stuff, y'know."
Yuna unnie jumps in:
"Been wondering too—what's with you two's cups? What'd you eat to grow like that...?"
...Baek Sion still working? I ease into it slow.
I'd just wrapped freelance stuff and shut down when "three sizes" floated in—thought I misheard. No reason for it outta the blue, right?
"...Rocking 65F for now..."
...What the hell? While I'm reeling, Yoo Seol-ah's voice amps up:
"How d'you know mine's full...?"
Feels like eavesdropping on forbidden chat. I dip into Doyun hyung's solo call—chill tunes soothe instantly.
"Ah, sleep well?"
"Yeah. What's the chatter downstairs...?"
"Dunno exactly. Jump in and see?"
...I'll get smacked by Seol-ah. But curiosity nags. Peek once? Prep exit—dive in, and her voice hits:
"...Mine feel bigger lately..."
"Lover's touch hits hormones hard..."
"Crazy—no touching wha—wait, Baek Sion, when'd you join...? Huh?"
"......"
Yup... bail. Not my scene. I bolt the call, straight-up flee to the attic.
Seol-ah and Seo-yeon alone was spicy enough; add one more girl? Nuclear. Dumb me for peeking.
"Hey! How much'd you hear...?"
Seol-ah yelling from downstairs. No wonder they seemed louder—not my imagination.
